Actually the explanation is simple. It's financial. When they ordain people, especially the more newly ordained, they are kind of giving them a position for life. Yes they can still burn them, but it's far more likely they will burn one of the people ordained not by Rozilla. They do a salt covenant with the Rozinator. So these are the guys they will put in Region positions (with a salary), Cabinet positions (higher salary), etc. If you want to control expenses, you'll only put people in that kind of state if you are REALLY SURE they are absolute FANBOIs. And they've had so many over the years that start out FANBOIs and then grow a conscience. Like possibly BW. So any kind of little negative remarks are remembered - snitches can betray them, actually rumors here can arouse the paranoid suspicion of the Rozinator. Also, realize they no longer allow Corpze to read their personnel file. So they can toss all sorts of BS in there and the black marks accumulate. So they don't want to split the pie up beyond their perceived consumption rate. So in other words, the more we run our mouth, the less people they ordain. Which is fine with me. Keeps down the corruption level, the abuse of goodhearted people and the ego of FANBOIs from exploding. Well, beyond those that are officers and directors. Whose heads are so large they scarcely can walk without falling down.

My .02. It's because the spirit of God is not moving, alive, or vital in the organization. God still honors the heart, so the pure-hearted and new have a lot more child-like believing, live under grace, and just treat God like a child with a father. So miracles happen. Then the crushing rules of the organization, the politics, the many small people climbing over one another, the sheer hurt of all the burned and abandoned, the devilishness of those at the top, all start to close in. By the time people are on Staff or under TWI's thumb for long periods of time, they have migrated to a mostly "works" type of mindset - that you have to "work" to see miracles, deliverance, etc. They say with their mouth this isn't true, but by their actions and fruit it contradicts what their mouth says. The whole org is geared towards "works" to maintain "status" or "position". This leads toward bondage. When believers live under grace, love energizes the miraculous. When believers are under the bondage of man-made law, the spirit of God is squeezed out of the picture. IMO.

Yes. There's a limited other market there anyway. Mostly hunters in the fall. Who bring trailers with ATV's, largely go without showers, and have a large artillery so are not very easy to order around. Plus that crowd loves cheap. Like Motel 6.

While that is true, think about it. Of $50M in assets, $25M is investment capital - the market isn't doing well at all lately. Converting $1M in assets to investment capital isn't that attractive. Fixed assets including equipment increase the property value of things like Gunnison if they decide to sell it off due to high cost and lack of use. Renting equipment out. To who? Other landscaping companies in rural Ohio? Really? Where are they? Farmers just attach a mower onto their tractors. No - when you start to look closely at the money, many of TWI's actions becomes much more clear. Very clearly by their actions as skyrider pointed out - they LOVE THINGS, and USE PEOPLE.

I'm sure that threatening you guys was the intent. They already have invested capital in the equipment. They could not recoup that. They already have the storage facilities. Their only equipment costs they are really paying is new equipment (which they seldom purchase), and parts and materials for maintenance. Maybe electricity on the storage facilities. Really minimal ongoing costs. Those costs are there including the cost for equipment in paying an outside contracting company. In the real world people have to recoup their costs on their equipment. Plus in rural Ohio I'm sure there's not a lot of companies that maintain grounds on that size facility. Their ability to deliver on that threat is IMO very low. Housekeeping would actually be about all they could outsource. With the people cost - they do as a corporation incur the meal cost of the noon meal for Staff every day. For other meals, they recoup cost by charging Staff, right? They charge rent, and have raised it after raising wages from minimum wage to just a little above. No, I think TWI's Staff is about the least cost solution they could possibly find. In many of these areas. And I will guarantee you that BOD and others have researched these things. Finding poor unsuspecting dupes to fulfill slave labor positions is their least cost solution.

There is no possible way a landscaping company would be cheaper than paying grunts basically minimum wage to work grounds. Unless they would hire illegal aliens and pay them under the table.

IMO LCM became EXTREMELY paranoid after POP. This paranoia was very heightened around any of his peers, or people he perceived as having some kind of power. The very few that showed extreme loyalty in those situations were promoted up the ranks very quickly. (P@n@rell0, H0rney, others). Others he axed really quickly if they showed any semblance of not having extreme loyalty. Things as simple as "I stand with God not any man", or expressions of loyalty being with God, and the Bible as opposed to a single dictator. That would get people axed. Yes - that is insane behavior - power combined with extreme paranoia. You see that combination in so many countries with leaders who are dictators. Then you have the whole deal with Rozilla and his wife conspiring to oust him over his sexual behavior. Well that certainly wasn't anything like Mrs. VPW acted. And then to have basically his wife leave him for another woman? Yes, there are many direct indicators and triggers that could support him being diagnosed with clinical issues in several areas. And VPW shared many of them. And Rozilla certainly shares the same power and paranoia behavior. Yes, extreme. Actually, while there may have been a time that had a little truth to it, the more we get into a world with Wikipedia and other growing online resources it absolutely is 100% false. You can prove it easily. Printed works always have some kind of updated errata that is published later, or available. Bibleworks resources, which actually most of them are full open source licensed digital versions of the Bible, or Greek / Hebrew text, are updated much more frequently due to it being much easier to do so. How many times a year does Bibleworks connect up to their servers and download an updated version complete with corrected material? I'd say I've seen it at least 3-4 times a year. Printed books? Nowhere near that frequency. No, researching the Bible with a small limited printed library of works is like doing a book report only using materials you can find in your local small town hicksville library, as opposed to using more global resources. Just because the Internet as new technology has had a gap between free usage and regulation and "post anything" vs. peer reviewed sources is ABSOLUTELY NOT a reason to bury your head in the sand and not use digital media. The Way's approach there is very similar to their surrounding neighbors at the Indiana campus - the Amish.

God Not Government ????!!!!! Hilarious!!!! TWI basically is showing their hypocrisy right out in the open for all to see!! They could have chosen ANYTHING for a bumper sticker. However they chose this!!! Let's examine: 1) Current organizational leadership structure - God or Government? They moved from a "Board of Trustee" arrangement to a "Board of Directors" arrangement due to this being a more normal 501c organizational structure in the eyes of the government - so as not to raise any red flags with their tax exempt status. 2) Lawsuits - God or Government? When faced with illicit sexual behavior, did they act morally out of a sense of God and His laws? No, they took NO action until forced to by a government judicial arm issuing threat of legal consequence. This practice is continued - they take NO action until the threat of legal action forces them to. 3) HQ Staff Policies - God or Government? Many places here it is highlighted how Frau Q-tip - whole lotta Rosie prefers "the old days" where Staff were not required to be paid minimum wage, where additional responsibilities were assigned, where they were not required to abide by a Staff Handbook policy on sexual and other harassment. Government - Law changed this. Also, as noted here at GS, they "counsel" people with medical needs to go to the government to get them met through WIC and other welfare programs, rather than the BOD believing God for proper medical coverage for their Staff people. 4) Mark and Avoid / Probation / Ex-Communication - God or Government? This has gone on since the beginning of TWI. People are placed on probation for one year. This coincidentally corresponds to the statute of limitations in most states for people being able to take legal action against them for slander and libel. 5) ABS Processes - God or Government? Quarterly people are sent charitable giving slips which serve as proof of contributions for the IRS. On these forms, they state "the government requires us to inform you that you are not receiving any tangible exchange for your contributions". O Rly?????? Well then if God is your sufficiency and not Government, and you don't believe that, then remove it from your letters. The bumper sticker is a cute little slogan. Unfortunately like so much else of the Bible, TWI and especially their leadership headed up by the BOD doesn't practice what they preach and do not live the Bible.

TWI confrontations aren't really much different. They may not call things "prophecies" but they certainly sit around in councils comparing "impressions". And trumped up inaccurate reports. Then likewise those "findings" are presented as God's truth and judgement to the person being "helped" without the source of any of it being revealed.

IMO, Christianity is all about a personal individual relationship. I believe that is God's design. As such, it is not empirically provable. Newtonian physics is a science that describes certain aspects of the world around us. It is empirically provable. I can totally relate to you with being disillusioned with "religion", as can most on this site. The problem with "religion" is IMO that it takes something that is designed to be a personal individual relationship, like Christianity, and inserts mankind into it. When that happens, there can be great things which you see with the better side of humanity, like people being kind, charitable, helping one another. However, more likely than not, you see the dark side of humanity involved with "religion", people judging one another, politics, posturing, slander, evil, stealing, murder, etc. The question to me is do you allow the dark side of humanity to affect your personal relationship? Some do. I don't. But it's a personal choice, and not one I believe makes anyone better than anyone else. I don't judge where people choose to get their inspiration.

That whole thing was like a version of the Salem witch hunts for gays. Which targeting a group like that is just retarded. Show me where Jesus ever did that on earth. Or any of the apostles. And whenever you have stupid people on a task of narrowminded witch hunting, you think they will ever make a mistake? You guys were collateral damage.

What more direct proof do you need that God is not working in these people? Jesus actually had the spiritual power to cast out devil spirits and heal people. With a true movement of God you see this type of thing as well genuinely happening. No condemning of the people, just delivering them. However, in TWI these people do not have spiritual power over the adversary. God is not working in them. So without this power, all they can do is label the people and stay away from them. It's not that God doesn't have the power to deliver people, to heal people. It absolutely is that these people by the fruit of their lives have departed from God and performed atrocities against God's people. God will no longer work in them. They have no spiritual power - they are running completely by the 5 senses. They cannot cast out spirits. All they can do is mark and avoid people, place them on 'spiritual probation', lie about them and warn people away from them. The Way - NO power over the adversary. If you want deliverance from something - look somewhere else.

With a family like TWI, who needs dysfunction?
