  1. you are not alone. all of us are broken. some by the corps and the taskmaster TWI provided, by life, some by other means. the broken have a savior. the haughty reject him thinking they are past needing him.
  2. And this is the fruit by which Jesus instructed his followers to know people. Wierwille and Okie had the outward appearances of the tirades, curse words, and verbal tongue-dressings. The current administration has it with extreme administrative actions to denigrate, slander, blackball all done behind closed doors and via henchmen, with meetings in private and silent of director's boards where they conspire to perform the evil in their hearts. A mature genuine Christian leader in a situation like that would have joked about "how did those crickets get radios?" and moved on with compassion and grace. A mature genuine Christian leader does not hold grudges, compile blacklists, and move in their heart to conspire against their brother or sister, to bring up false testimony and to execute false judgements. They would not verbally embaress a right hand supporter in front of an audience causing them to experience that level of shame and embaressment. That is not the fruit of the spirit. By their fruit know them. The fruit of TWI leaders is that of spoiled little children not accustomed to disciplining themselves to have a moral Christian character, but living by their spoiled little consciences.
  3. <sarcasm> My God, who could not be attracted to want to live in an environment and under an authority figure like that? </sarcasm>
  4. It looks like that 2007 Amendment article TWI filed is attempting to state that all of their investment and interest income from their investments are related to their main purpose. I think this distinction is there to avoid having that classified as "unrelated business income" and thus requiring the 990-T that anyone can investigate. So in other words Rosie and Gary F have a nice little $24M investment fund to manage all protected by the 501c laws.
  5. Very interesting. The amendment states "...the right and power to receive gifts, devises, bequests and contributions outright, in trust or in any other form, and to use, apply, invest and reinvest the principle and/or income therefrom or to distribute the same..." In other words, they have taken full advantage of the right to hoard cash. $24M is a little working capital to invest, reinvest / etc.
  6. Here's a link if you want to check it: http://starpas.azcc.gov/scripts/cgiip.exe/WService=wsbroker1/names-detail.p?name-id=F00256060&type=CORPORATION After 2008 it wasn't required to file financials so they no longer included the balance sheet. The balance sheets are very minimal, but one thing you can see the trend on is a category called "Short Term Investments". That has gone from around $6M in the late 90's to $24M in 2008. Also, Fixed assets has gone from $27M to $17M in the same timeframe. The sale of campuses can be seen there, and real estate value falling. So yes, Rosie is sitting on a cash cow, paying workers slave wages, burning through BOD members, and keeping her own little twisted version of Utopia functioning there.
  7. It always did. You look at how quickly other Christian organizations of hundreds to thousands times the size of TWI can change to align with a new strategic direction. How about looking at companies and businesses? They change even quicker. Hearing the tripe about "it's a world-wide organization and it takes time to change" is sickening to the stomach. They certainly can pass decrees on what they want to fast enough. However, changing to do things right requires a lawsuit and the threat of personal imprisonment for a high level person. It's stubbornness, hard-headedness, hard-heartedness, and flat out lies and manipulation. Why anyone would put themselves under that kind of authority is just mind-boggling.
  8. I also remember during this time that after collecting all the complaints, rather than taking any action on them, it was addressed on Corps night that basically all of the US Corps were "unthankful for the Word" compared to the internationals, who they said suffered through great hardships to even get the most basic Word that was presented freely to the US Corps. Also, with Rosie, this served to be a source of a list of dissenters, much like the Communist leadership of Stalin and Hitler used. The Communists would periodically open up speeches and lies that they were trying to change, thus soliciting opinions on how they could change. Once all the opinions were collected, they executed the people with differing opinions. Rosie did and does this by blackballing those who disagree. She won't do any of the dirty work herself, but has henchmen to perform it for her. People are kicked out, demoted, moved, "placed on probation", and this is done in complete silence. They stopped answering any questions about these actions that were performed in the night with no witnesses, and this produces the appropriate fear in the ranks of the followers to comply or end up like so-and-so. It's a reign of fear and terror, all governed by the yearly "placement meetings" where those involved partake in that evil. This will be dealt with when Jesus Christ returns, as there aren't any followers with the b@ll$ to do like the inhabitants of the city Jezebel was staying in did and throw her over the wall. All a bunch of eunechs.
  9. That guy's whole existence centered around his absolute blind obedience to LCM. In times where okus prime was on a rampage and axing his peers in leadership right and left, that guy was the prime example of "who do you stand with?". He would sacrifice anything, even his own wife, to solidify his relationship with that man. He knew that was his ticket up in the organization, and he played it well, surpassing his peers and other leaders who had been around longer. It was only when the lawsuits came out, and the lawyers forced the "confessions" of LCM that JH's deeds came to light, then he was blackballed from higher levels of leadership.
  10. You know, clinging to this simple truth has been pivotal in my recovery from the negative effects of this bunch of Pharisees. God is a just God. Do you think when Jesus Christ comes back He is going to say "well done" to leaders who manipulate others for their own gain and their own personal advancement? Do you think He is going to overlook the lust for power and position in their hearts that motivates them? Do you think He will tolerate those that turn a blind eye to the evil functioning in their peers and overseers and do nothing or go along with it to preserve themselves? Do you think the voices of those they have slandered and shunned will not cry out for help? Will He not hear them? No, He will stand for those that speak out and are persecuted.
  11. He must have got it mixed up with his revelation at the county fair on "white hearts" and "black hearts". The face he put on for others was white as snow, his heart was black as coal tar.
  12. That's kind of funny. Of course the allegations from TWI about GSC are that we are running people off. That couldn't be further from the truth. We are speaking the unadulterated, uncensored truth here. The way you know it is the way it is real, and doesn't sound like one of the Stepford Wives robots. It is backed by account after account of facts regarding the leadership of TWI. Individually, those accounts are stifled, and the shunning practice keeps TWI followers from hearing them or thinking about them. The shunning also keeps patterns from being seen. Collectively, in a place where all get to tell their story freely, the voices are not shut down by the Pharisees. The truth is that the buffoons in charge of TWI are running people off. Their morally reprehensible behavior, which they hide behind closed doors, and the putrid fruit in their lives shows forth truer than anything. Their knees, on which they prostrate themselves, and their lips, which continually kiss the ring of the current "pope" are full of idolatry being putrid to God. If people see that unmasked, and leave TWI because of an upset spiritual stomach, that's not the fault of those telling it like it is. That's the fault of those not living it. Those who as Paul said "seemed to be somewhat, but added nothing to me". Their pomp, position, and treachery will all be brought down by Jesus Christ one day, and they will be ashamed. We here at GSC aren't sucking the life out of the teachings at TWI making them worse than processed elevator musack. They do that all on their own. We don't have onerous rules governing each other here. They do that. What should you expect out of the Advanced Class run by that group of morons? Duller and Dullerer
  13. Yeah, that sucks. The only way that would be better than TWI is that there's only one hot dog, not a hierarchy of them. Yeah, no doubt. Didn't any of these fools read the verse in the Bible that you can't put new wine into old wineskins? They probably delude themselves to think their little 501c is a new wineskin, simply because they have no other credentials to get a job in the real world and no mainstream Christian organization would employ them.
  14. Any house church responsible only to God and the collective conscience of the attendees has to be infinitely better than one under the heavy hand and false leadership of TWI.
  15. The AC is another exercise in indoctrination. 2 weeks living under the rules, authority in all little things, and power of those at TWI (or whatever other root location holding the class). Away from family, friends, a job, and external reality checks, the AC student is "immersed in the Word". When you look at the subject matter taught, basically the largest portion of the class is the reading of OT records. These are purported to show OT believers operating the 6 manifestations. There is also the formulaiac approach to manifestations. That leads to ego. Oh, and don't let me forget the devil spirits field. The vast majority of that is superstition accompanied by various adjectives in the Bible. a "jealous" spirit, a spirit "of error", etc. You also have small group types of "exercises", designed to share to help learning. These are closely controlled, and anyone getting too far off track in what they are sharing will be confronted by the group coordinators - Way Corps and leadership in TWI. If someone holds to a thought contrary to TWI's doctrine, and voices it and doesn't repent, they will be kicked out of the AC, leading to being shunned in the local fellowships. So skipping all the mumbo jumbo, egotistic formulas, and witch hunting enabling adjectives, you basically have a period of time listening to someone read OT records. Are OT records inspiring and do they teach how to walk in a relationship with God? Sure they are. Are the clowns at TWI running the Advanced Class inspiring and do their lives teach how to walk in a relationship with God? Couldn't be further from it. The higher up you get in the organization, the worse people you run into. Those at the top would throw their brother/sister under a bus in an instant to preserve their position, prove their loyalty, and advance their personal gain. My advice? Stay home, read the OT records by yourself. Live them. I didn't need the hoopla surrounding teaching records of Elijah and the still small voice to know the many small ways God talks to me. He's been doing that since I was a child. The same with any Christian with ears - He is not a respecter of persons. If you do that you won't be sucked in to all the hoopla surrounding the ministry and its leadership, causing you to sell your soul, your family and children, and future to further a cause of false apostles and prophets.
  16. You know, I think that this type of thing is an indicator. A lot of the people who remain in TWI are those who do not want to think for themselves and want someone else to make decisions for them and carry some of the responsibility for their lives. Freedom is a double-edged sword. You don't have anyone else's hand in your life dictating what to do, but you also don't have anyone else to blame for decisions. For the thinking, hard working, and resposible this is a very worthwhile tradeoff and one that they would not trade for giving up control of their lives to some other person or group whose motives are dubious at best. However, it is much easier to be a sheep and listen for the bleats of the fellow sheep and guidance of another to live life.
  17. Dude, that place is so spiritually dead nothing genuine has happened there for years. IF anyone got healed there it would be more of a "Leap of Faith" Steve Martin movie type of thing where a kid walks off his crutches in the middle of the false prophets selling aluminum siding and collecting money for words. And it wouldn't surprise me if God would just hold off from that until they were off grounds to make a point. That place is like the fig tree Jesus cursed. You won't see anything happening there again. You know most medical doctors who really care about their patients have more healing in their little fingers than those pompous jackwagon Pharisees have in their whole bodies.
  18. I have had a few situations that have involved healing. Some predate TWI, a few in, and one after. I've seen a broken bone set and healing extremely accelerated, a woman recover from a stroke and the effects nullified, a bad flu sickness where the cause/virus was removed and recovery happened over 4 days the body recovering itself. A few others, nothing of extreme notability. This stuff is nowhere near everyday, but spread out a lot over time. When people would ask me "will you minister to me?" I would just pray for them out loud. The times I experienced real healing in the process I kind of felt like the person would have got what they were seeking whether I was involved in the process or not - me being there was kind of secondary - it was mostly a person and God thing between them. Most of the time people asked that though it was just a religious phrase, nothing behind it at all. So I believe it happens, God is involved. I don't confess to know all the elements involved, and I certainly have stuff I take medicine for in the genetic and long term physical ailment category so I am no expert on the process or example of personal healing. I've had another genetic weakness that has gotten better through nothing but hard work, good diet, and proper exercise. If I'd neglect the three or one of the three it gets worse again. What's tough about all this is you think if God does heal, what about my situation? Does God randomly grant requests? Am I not good enough for healing? And the comparison stuff too - why the other guy but not me? Or the other way around? All I know is God is good and there is no formula there. I have no better answer than the standard Catholic one - "just have faith my son". I guess if God cured every sniffly nose immediately there would be no struggle in life. And sometimes to me the struggles help me appreciate things more and gain strength of character. Just a few one line stories and opinions here.
  19. What I think of it? The writeup is overt idolatry towards a cult leader. What were VPW's "principles of research"? 1) See material you can use 2) Copy it 3) Leave off the source attributes 4) Call it your own
  20. Dude that is TWI 100% I applaud your "closet" Christmas spirit even in TWI. Those still in TWI - get yourself some "Christmas Spirit". If you are still singing "SIT, SIT, do it everyday", you are MISSING OUT, both on the Christmas spirit end of things, as well as the true intent for SIT - if you have a rich prayer life with our Heavenly Father, you don't need the reminders. You are praying in the spirit and by petition with your understanding already. You don't need the Pharisees to ruin your Christmas!!!!!
  21. Nice writeup sky. Reflecting on all of the braintime and lifetime I spent on those moronic endeavors makes me want to invent a new type of "Newspeak" all centered around the word ..... ....ity ....ity .... .... .... .... a duck .... ..... ....ity ....ity .... .... .... .... a duck .... ..... ....ity ....ity .... .... .... .... a duck .... ..... ....ity ....ity .... .... .... .... a duck .... ..... ....ity ....ity .... .... .... .... a duck .... ..... ....ity ....ity .... .... .... .... a duck .... ..... ....ity ....ity .... .... .... .... a duck .... ..... ....ity ....ity .... .... .... .... a duck .... ..... ....ity ....ity .... .... .... .... a duck .... ..... ....ity ....ity .... .... .... .... a duck .... ..... ....ity ....ity .... .... .... .... a duck .... ..... ....ity ....ity .... .... .... .... a duck .... ..... Now it's time to go have a rum and eggnog or three, go attend a hardcore mass for Christ (in Latin of course), and go out singing Christmas carols with my neighbors, none of which being the retarded variations of Christmas carols bastardized by Wayspeak modifications.
  22. And no, the irony of this is not lost on me either.
  23. Yeah, really. I don't drink a ton or get out of control, but it's nice to know I don't have to have some dumb@$$ legalism governing my actions. I'm better off without that. Interesting - the veepster would blow by that out of his Drambuie bottle whenever he felt like it. Rules for the masses to keep them controlled, but don't apply to the elitists.
  24. That pretty much is EXACTLY what it was. In fact, that's pretty much what placements were too. I'm certainly glad some of us got enough self-respect to leave our pimp and denounce the lifestyle
  25. Yes that is an interesting comparison. You can read more about them at http://calvarychapel.com/. Their tag line "simply teaching the Bible simply" explains a lot of the origin. They promote simply reading and obeying scriptures - their teachings (at least from the few services I've attended of theirs) usually are in series covering whole sectors of the Bible and have a lot more reading and a lot less commentary than many other approaches. You can look at their numbers in the "Find a Church" section of the website - there are churches in all 50 states and internationally. Oh, and the churches are not like TWI "work" in that it's 2 families or 8 people in one house that's work in a state - they are full churches with buildings rented or owned with a presence in the community. They are a mainstream Christianity alternative, much as other denominations are. They are growing. TWI is dying. Well, once you've screwed up 2 splinter groups, selling over the internet where you don't have to actually deal with people is probably JAL's safest bet.
