So, as a natural man, you confessed Jesus is lord and believed God raised him from the dead and you feel that act was totally determined and following a previous synapse setting?

And the ability to decide is what free will is all about. You decide whether you believe Jesus is lord and God raised him from the dead. Did you do that by a previous synapse setting?

In order for your conscience to bother you, you first have to be given the option of following it or not. Some will follow it, others will ignore it. Free Will in action.

The very fact that we can go against conscience proves free will, as by going against conscience would mean we went beyond what we were taught.

Conscience implies you have a choice to whether you obey it or not. That, in return, implies free will.

So, where does conscience, you know, that little voice that makes you feel bad when you know you've done something wrong, enter into all this?

Oh, H-E-double hockey sticks, talk about a hat trick, I guess you could say he got the puck out of there.
-
God's foreknowledge failed him? I think you're falling for another one of Saint Vic bull stories.
-
You mean you made up three on the spot. You yourself said they were posted 15 or so years ago and you didn't remember them. So when you made the claim you didn't have an answer.
-
Translation: I was just spouting off. I didn't expect you guys to call me on it. But, I'll make up something on the spot. Mike, you have to be the worst salesman. Next time do your homework before you make a claim. Then you wonder why your credibility suffers.
-
Mike keeps claiming he wants to sell PLAF to us. Here's his big chance for a sales pitch. Name three things in the class we forgot, @Mike
-
In other words. I'm handing you a line of bull, why don't you believe it? Strange, you can go on for page after page about what "cloak" means in Aramaic or whether the free will is biological, but a direct question about PLAF you dodge. Why should Waysider waste a moment of his time backing up a claim you made and refuse to back up? I'm with Waysider, name three things in PLAF you THINK we forgot, if you can.
-
I would think someone so deeply immersed in the bible and the study of free will would have looked into it.
-
So then your saying a born again person's freedom of will is different from a natural man's? How?
-
You see collapse, we see setting the record straight.
-
Wrong again! If free will is biological, how could one third of the angels join Satan? Apparently, angels have free will, too. This is further reenforced by Paul's statement that believers will judge angels. You can't judge the actions of someone who hasn't the freedom of choice, freedom of will.
-
Odd, you can critique my "obsession" but you can't critique Saint Vic's "obsession". It's your standard, babe. Once again you negate PLAF. If Saint Vic was obsessed with academia, then PLAF is not truth because, according to you, people who worship the god of academia (as in applying they went to an ivy league school and insisting on a title they didn't earn (Saint Vic's lies were more important to him than the truth).) are NOT ALLOWED to have truth (as in his claims about PLAF) or to know it if it lands on their lap (if Saint Vic didn't know the truth, how could he write the truth?) Other than what's in the parentheses, that is what you wrote, right? Your Saint Vic worship is obvious, as your rules seem to hold for everybody but him.
-
Do you read what you write? Or do you fade in and out? Saint Vic was obsessed with academia. After all, he implied he went to Princeton university and insisted everyone call him doctor. I doubt he had a TARIS hidden somewhere. So, considering his obsession with academia, by your own admission he was NOT ALLOWED to have the truth or know it if it was in his lap.
-
And genuinely intelligent people don't need to brag about their intelligence. If you're intelligent people will know it soon enough.
-
I figure it's some sort of weird reverse psychology: Mike thinks he can make people want to take PLAF by alienating them.
-
Sorry YOU don't get spared. How do you know you don't THINK God is verifying the truth to you. Plenty of people have claimed God verified the truth and it was proven their claim was them lying to themselves. Besides, you've never heard of false prophets?
-
So, it's your contention that after a short conversation on the phone this superstar brain scientist decided you were worthy to join there group. Did you converse with him the way you converse with us? Did you try to teach him anything? Did you withhold information that would have contributing to your postulate making sense (you remember you were asked if the original was written in Aramaic, your answer, no, failing to mention there are Aramaic manuscripts)? If you didn't why are you communicating differently with us then you did with them?
-
The first flaw in your theory: how would you know you have the truth? And spare me the you have the Word bull. Catholics have the Word and they claim the have the truth. So do Presbyterians. So do Baptists. So does any one of 2500 Christian religions, all claiming they--and only they--have the one true truth. So how do you know when you have the truth?
-
What number are we on? Oh, well... xx. Teaches you to project as if you were in a movie theater. Because of black or white thinking, you wind up compartmentalizing your shadow self? After all, in your mind your all good, do all bad stuff must've in someone else, right? You see that with accusations of others being hostile or others being afraid.
-
I doubt it. Fool me once, shame on Saint Vic...
