  1. And your trying to muddy the water as your interface claim doesn't change the fact, according to you, our spirit can do something God can't. Also, so rather than taking a direct route, God in his infinite wisdom chose to go the long way around?
  2. You don't have to draw that conclusion, it's implied in the fact our spirit can do something God can't. Cop out time. We will never understand the mysteries of God. That's a cop out. More copping out. If our spirit can do something God can't, then it's greater than God and all the guano crazy excuses won't change that. Again, our spirit can do something God can't bloviate all you want, that doesn't change that, by that belief, our spirit is greater than God.
  3. In other words, building up what you think it says. Yah, meekness an training the mind. Two things Saint Vic excelled at. So, once again, if God can't talk to us without spirit, yet our spirit can talk to our natural mind, then our spirit is greater than God, right?
  4. So, as it's been pointed out before, your argument is that God needs us to have spirit so he can talk to our spirit, then somehow our spirit talks to our natural mind. So our spririt, as it can talk to natural things, must be greater than God, right?
  5. This is still no proof that spirit can only talk to spirit. Didn't the other prophets have God's spirit on them? And yet He said He revealed himself in visions and dreams. Why didn't He talk with them face to face like he did Moses? Reading comprehension always helps.
  6. So, how did Satan know what God planned? He would have to in order to counterfeit it. Or did Satan just luck out? As you recall, Paul told us the new birth was a great mystery to those before Christ. Reading the rest of the thread, I see I'm not the only one to notice this glaring error. I also notice you never answered it.
  7. In other words, literally letting the bible interprets itself. Like what Saint Vic did when he stole everyone else's work. He used HIS opinion to decide what was true and what was false.
  8. You really know where your towel is. Watch out for Vogons. I was in a philosophy class and the professor made the mistake of asking the class, "Haven't you ever wondered what the answer is to life, the universe, everything?" Without even thinking three of us answered: "42!" Don't panic. Mostly harmless.
  9. 116. Saint Vic knew how to capture the youth: just pick the most radical theories and make them a part of your spin on religion, i.e., four crucified, anti-trinity, etc.
  10. T-Bone, the reason it was called a donation was to get around tax laws. If they called it a payment then they'd have to charge sales tax and the funds collected would be taxed.
  11. Then it would be deja Vu all over again
  12. What dispensation is this? You mean right now?
  13. Smarter than the average natural man.
  14. That verbal structure's not worth the paper it's printed on.
  15. We got private interpretation in the process. HINT: I won't mention any names, but his initials are Saint Vic
  16. Actually, this is the literal, according to usage by Saint Vic: The bible can only get interpreted properly When you let me do the interpreting By using my materials Which I claim come from within the bible itself.
  17. And just what do you think the protest is over? The phrasing? You can play word games all you want, it just shows your inability to deal with the issue at hand. Note Saint Vic himself used the phrase: https://thewaymagazine.com/scripture-interprets-verse-right-written/
  18. Get out the hip waders, it's starting to get deep. Let's just ignore clipped English. So then wanting us to take PLAF, you wanted us to take a class that had inaccuracies in it. As Saint Vic himself claimed the bible interprets itself. You mean you forgot the bible interprets itself in the context and how the word was used before? And just what do you think the remonstrance is about? The very thing in your definition, they just stated it the way it's stated in the class.
  19. This is an old trick, let's just claim it's figurative language, then we can get people to accept it. In the Way, at least the last time I was there, the bible interprets itself was a literal concept. Refresh my memory, how many hours of the class did Saint Vic spent trying to prove this very thing?
  20. Did I now? Were they "lovingly" condescending like God toward his children? An attitude you seem to think somehow fits into service. Where did that idea come from? You don't have to be around him to pick up his attitude, you only need to know his image. Was he more focused on his needs than the people he was supposedly serving? Really?! Sometimes it seems all you have for Saint Vic is long distance admiration.
  21. And who did Saint Vic serve besides little Saint Vic? My point being: you chose a bad example to teach you what serving other people meant.
  22. Specimen cups at 10 paces?
  23. The first questions I would ask about this story: is it true? Did it really happen? How do we know? When this story first circulated, few knew of Saint Vic's shenanigans. If you divorce yourself from Saint Vic's history, the story makes him sound like a tragic figure, like King Lear: Deliverance, deliverance, my kingdom for deliverance. Or even Jesus Christ: My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me? I'm not saying it couldn't have happened. Just, with stories like the eyes and fish hooks and Saint Vic risking his eye by filming the class over a weekend because the days are evil, I wonder...
  24. 110. PLAF is a gateway class to a multi-marketing style class set up. Not only is there an Intermediate and Advanced class, there's also The Way Tree, Dealing With The Adversary, and Witnessing and Undersheparding to name a few.
