  1. Welcome Heartbroken,

I hope that the Greasespot is good to you.

  2. Great post Jim, For me, these things seem as if they were written long ago, judging by style anyway. Do you have any reference at all for this? I think that it might be a nice read. (a little added for clarity)
  3. Thanks Rascal, I've been thinking about what you shared here and then I realized that everything that I've learned I learned from someone who knew something that I did not. Sometimes thing may need to be smacked down, but given human nature I'm certain that the vast majority of smack downs (so to speak) are wrong headed. But, then again, IMO lies and spin deserve to be smacked down if they interfere with helping folks. I guess everybody has an agenda, and that steers their conversations. But if it comes to "wickedness" or "evil" as that part of Psalm 64 talks about, then I just hope that my understanding of good and evil is such that I'm a part of the solution and not part of the problem. But if we can keep everything as out in the open as possible here, then everyone can judge for themselves.
  4. The joke made me chuckle. Thanks Dmiller.
  5. Well, if he was an angel then how would Jesus Christ be greater then him? I don't think Jesus Christ would be called to an order of priesthood originated with an Angel when Heb 1:4-6 shows all the angels to be called to a subjective state compared to the Son. The scriptures say that Melchisidec was "king of Salem" (Heb 7:1) The best work I've seen indicates that this was an actual town. Most folks agree that it was where Jerusalem is now. If these things are true then I believe that it's more than reasonable to assume Melchisidec was a man, like any other, with a mother and father. After all, wasn't he right their with Abraham and the king of Sodom. To me that sounds like he was right there just like the other king and Abraham, and at least in that record even though Abraham treated the two kings very differently they were spoken of as simply two different kings. The thing that I feels make all "spiritual being" opinions weak is that the scriptures do not SAY it. So it seems to be a much more speculative opinion than the simplest one. (a little added for clarity)
  6. I enjoy humor as much as anybody when I recognize it WhiteDove. I still like to think of good things coming from you too. As long as you use words like,"the day to day drone of Save Us from the Way" it seems highly unlikely that we'll be on the same page. This seems to be the type of comment that I categorize as FULL OF SPIN. (A little added in editing)
  7. I forgot the Pack and brats!? Now I feel stupid.
  8. Very interesting thread Dot, I don't have time to go through all that you've said, but I'd like to share some of my thoughts. I think it's fairly evident that Melchisedec had a mother and a father. IMO he's spoken of this way to point to the priest that would once and for all be a priest aftert his order, Jesus Christ. That's how I understand it the best. Since it doesn't say who he really was, figuring it out is a somewhat speculative consideration. As such I don't think anyone needs to argue about it. I have not seen a definitive answer to this question. My first choice is Noah's son Shem however. If I'm not mistaken, the years that it's written he lived through went into Abraham's journey and then some. I find this POSSIBILTY to be an exciting consideration. Personally Dot,I don't think that it's possible that Jesus Christ's coming would or could have happened outside of all the scriptural predictions that were fulfilled when he finally did come. And why would he be called a priest after the name of his own order? Still, IMO this point is not worth fighting over.
  9. Thanks BOWTWI, They were really good, better, and best. As a Wisconsinite I feal that there should at least be one reference each to beer and cheese when refering to the badger state, then they might have been perfect.
  10. Welcome to Greasespot Grumpy.

  11. Hi friend,

    I like the picture too.

  12. Friend it is then RottieGrrrl, I guess that if he really was an azzhole then someone's got to say it.
  13. To quote some of psalm 64,(KJV) Hide me from the secret councel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity: Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words: That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him and fear not. They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, who shall see them? IMO this is an ancient example of spin. This is why my name is out, I'm not hiding. This is why I say openly that TWI did wicked things. This is why I get angry when some people seem to object to the truth being told, they are the ones who are SPINNING the matter. From the very first here on this site I've objected to the victims of TWI being put down. I'm as certain about the truth of these things as I can be. P.S. Dear Rascal, not if I can help it. But these type of boogers are not easy to deal with and they'll gladly put you down for any error that they can. They are not concerned with truth as much as their imperfect agenda.
  14. So, was it the MORTAL bard who wrote the play,"Much Ado About Nothing." Still, I'm glad that I thought about the things that I did this weekend. I think that they might come in handy later. Dear Waysider, As always, great song choice. LOL Dear Psalmie, That's o.k., sometimes I really want to see the day when pigs fly. That is until you so ably pointed the hazzards out to me. I'M HUMBLED YOUR MAJESTY. :) Dear Excathedra, It'll take an awful lot more than that to offend me when it comes from you.
  15. Dear Whitedove, I have not read where this thread has gone yet, no really, I've only browsed it to find out who has responded. I'm eager to take it in however. I see that some folks that I'd like to think of as friends have posted too. You see Dove, my best friends tend to be the ones who I know that are capable of humbling me and do so out of concern when I step out of line. I've already told two of them that they've brought me to my knees. IMO this site has many people who are more than capable of doing so, but sofar, Whitedove, you seem to be best at trying my patience and raising my ire. To echo the sentiment of a certain King who God backed up on that day, (even though he did much evil at other times) don't boast when you're putting on your armor like you can when you are taking it off. p.s. I think that I'm probably going to want to respond to these posts after I read through this thread.
  16. Recently I've read through Ezekiel, chapter 23 and the surrounding scripture. I find that in the scripture that when "groups" of God's people sin he has catigated them with VERY HARSH language to try to bring them out of the vile and nasty things that sometimes people do. I simply say in this thread that I want truth and not spin. THESE PEOPLE HERE THAT TESTIFY OF TWI'S CORRUPT PRACTISES I BELIEVE. I remember teachings and practices for myself that add to my certainty of the truth of these things. Since I believe these things to be true I believe that attempts to doctrinally or morally "spin" these things are done through ignorance or deliberate deception. I think that anyone who spins these things is AT BEST decieved and wise in their own conceits if they do so already knowing that these vile actions in TWI really happened. I am not "spinning" any of these things that I say and am only looking for discussion and learning. What do I have to be concerned about Dove? (edited for spelling)A little added for clarity too.
  17. Dear Ex, It doesn't have to be deep IMO. I am looking to "help" in general however. Dear Dove, Who or what is Psalmie? Do I seem concerned? The answer is NO I assure you. Dear Waysider, Not those Spin Doctors, I like their sound. LOL
  18. Awsome reference Ham, Paul recognized and even utilized what he wrote. And it's written down for us to see how it's done. Good, good reference.

    Song of the moment

WOOHAA, WOO, WOO, WOO! I'LL TAKE DEM BLUES ANYDAY Love the contrast too Waysider.
  20. Dear Steveo, I can relate to your perspective and I'm glad that you do not condemn anyone here. If there are errors in what TWI taught (just to remain objective, I say it like that.) then it would be good to FACE the errors for all involved. I have to agree with Jen-o in her points. I deliberately left names out of this thread so that the chances of a pointless brawl would be better. Oldies took some exception to the thread however and then I did, and will, keep encouraging him for his input on the topic. Who knows, we might all learn something.
  21. Dear Waysider, Thanks for posting the song. I laughed out loud throughout. Although I'm sure that many of the laughs were merely muffled snorts here in the old library. Oddly enough Brideofjc; or then again maybe not; I thought of "Happy Days" too.
  22. Dear Oldies, That's where you're coming form? What was that again? So, do you think that putting spin on TWI's disreputable actions is ethical or not? What is your opinion on that? C'MON OLDIES This is a real simple question.
  23. Hi Everyone, I added some content to my last post on this thread, just so you know. If anyone wants to continue this after I go, I'll be happy to read and catch up with where you all took this one. BYE FOR NOW.
  24. AAWW C'mon Oldies, This isn't difficult. I made scriptural and ethical statements concerning spin. If your response to me is that spin regarding TWI's actions is ethical, that is straightforward. My opinion is that because of the damage that the truth has on TWI, the truth is honorable and the spin is b.s. There we both know where the other stands. SIMPLE, SIMPLE, SIMPLE (added in editing) These days spin is common. In general I do not like it. I think that in terms of ethics, spin and Biblical topics need to be diametrically opposed even though because of culture and/or human nature that is not an easy thing to accomplish. It's something that any of us may at times fall into, but is that how TRUTH really works? How about it Oldies?
