Struggling With Basic Reading, Writing & Grammar
JeffSjo replied to Oakspear's topic in About The Way
Lording it over the Lord's inheritance!!!! That is exactly right Oakspear, that's what TWI leadership was concerned about very consistently. IMO scholars of all types are prone to having some form of elitism amoung themselves, it is a very human weekness. But TWI leaders were taught that "Lording it over the Lord's inheritance" was what leadership did to run things. How unfortunate for those who ran things like that when they diden't know their training to dominate and abuse people was a bad thing. But even more unfortunate for those who in the long run prove to having done such things to people and know it was bad. But in TWI's case their promoting themselves as great scholars and researchers was, whether done ignorantly by some or not, pretty much fraud that had the ability to help control and dominate the average Wayfer. -

VPW----polygamist or just another dirty old man?
JeffSjo replied to waysider's topic in About The Way
For the very first time, an old friend of mine has just come out and said it. I heard ABOUT it a little while back, but I just can not talk about stuff that didn't happen to me as boldly as I can share my own stuff, huh? You know what, there is at least one of my former frinds in RRF who have been cruising GSC for more than a year now. And after all I shared that little ____ has not freakin contacted me. Not only that, Dawn told me that he wouldn't even talk to me because he still wanted to help people. So I don't freakin know exactly what these people who used to know me are thinking, but some of them are the very ones who told Granddaughter about how bad Victor Barnard has been with the women. These very same people used to believe Victor when he succesfully had them believing that I was the one that was devilish. And many of them had their hand in helping Barnard break up MY FAMILY and make my life in RRF a living hell for several years. And now the little douchebag GSC lurkers don't even want to talk to me after they made my life hellish.... I don't know what their reasoning is, but IMO it must be seriously messed up, especially the ones who won't talk to me even after they found out how nasty VB is. This rant has been brought to you by a former River Road Fellowship victim. -
Looks to me Cheranne that when it was all said and done you have yourself much better vows than anything TWI would have offered you, I am happy for you and smiling. :) ....see? And the vows you vowed are something that actually are in the scriptures valid and good ones to keep. My experience is that in TWI and other cretinous minds because the leaders have predatory insticts, fabricating vows (supposedly toward serving God) gives the cretinous, abusive leadership the means to control them. But IMO (and I have no plans to change my mind, none, nada, zip, squat....) that if anybody finds that the ministry they bound themselves to serve God in is found to not actually be serving God, but instead the bellies and piggish, foul lusts of those at the top, that common sense would seem to show that those vows to God are truly null and worthless.

John Lynn and STFI
JeffSjo replied to Factfinder's topic in Spirit and Truth Fellowship International
When I first read JL's letter at that website it was pretty big news to me. He described in some detail things that made it clear to me that Wierwille made actually participating in TWI sexual abuse somewhat of a prerequisite for,"getting your ministry really moving" or words to that effect, from Wierwille to Lynn as best I recall now. So what if since that time I have heard many things hear that cause me to believe he has many bad and/or dysfunctional things going on according to old TWI patterns; the man was at least one of very, very few who has given some details of the extent of their own and TWI's pattern of sexual abuse. I think that it is likely that even though CSI has misused prophecy and other spiritual things it is very likely that they dare not deny the significance of the impact of Lynn's sharing some things publically. Even if it is true that he carries on fairly consistently with the elitism, obfuscation, building on a faulty PFAL foundation (Obviously he still believes some of Wierwille's PR and SPIN), and other TWI leadership bad habits at least he was one of the few who pointed at Wierwille being the one that actually encouraged the sexual shenanigans. To me looking back that simple little fact made a difference for me too. -

I wonder if "G" will say, "Shut up, he's not mine!" -

My former splinter group leader, Victor Barnard, has at least ten younger women in his control through vows that were taken in their relative youth. One of them actually came to twig and said,"I'm married to the Christ in Victor." And now I have heard uncomfirmed reports that her parents have left the group and moved back home to Pennsylvania. If I were a betting man I'd bet they didn't leave with their oldest daughter though. :( Yeah, those stinking vows as pertains to a supposed ministry and supposed MOG, not just gaining followers, but messing with young heads for the rest of their life.

VPW----polygamist or just another dirty old man?
JeffSjo replied to waysider's topic in About The Way
With Wierwille and other sexual predators it seems to me that they need to develope the ability to control their victims to some extent in order to keep getting their sick little jollies. And what makes Wierwille especially noteworthy as a dirty old man is that his answer to keep the supply of victims going was his ability to justify his baser habits with a careful groomed cadre of followers that either took part in the carnage or at least used their "ministry positions" to act as his enablers. But for me the single most revolting aspect of his abuse was how he tightly reined in control od TWI by carefully obscuring and twisting the scriptures in order for most of us to not realize that he was a sick, twisted wolf in sheeps clothing. Most predators rely on their abilty to control their victims through simple intimidation or other forms of persuasion. And they learn to very carefully pick victims that are vulnerable. Wierwille did all of that and added religous indoctrination on top of it all. As such IMO, HE WAS DEFINITELY A DIRTY OLD MAN BUT HARDLY "JUST ANOTHER." In my mind he was especially heinous as a predator. Just look at LCM and other sicko tip-top TWI leadership, Wierwille even passed his disease on to many others, whom he called his kids. -

Thanks for the snacks (It's never too late for that IMO. :B) ) And yes, plenty of hugs between me and my lady. And yes, there may be a change or two for me over the last two years. p.s. Just love the emoticons but I have been known to overuse them on occasion too.

What does it take to realize the MOG is really scum?
JeffSjo replied to JeffSjo's topic in About The Way
Hi Krys, To me the sad part about all of this is that I gave my loyalty firstly to TWI and then that nasty little splinter group I was involved in after TWI called River Road Fellowship (Look to the "MY Story" section for the details.) And for me it is evident that not only did I not hold onto the warnings in order to consider them, but add to that that the scum in charge in both cases had my support too. But the especially galling part for me is that as these groups had my loyalty, my natural zeal for spiritual things was totally misdirected in terms of doing much of anybody any real long term good. In other words everybody that I witnessed to I also ignorantly directed straight into the clutches of an abusive organization whose sickos in charge kept their true proclivities relatively hidden. Now looking back on it all I remember many things that should have warned me, but even now there are several people whose supposed spirituality will in the long run end up being simply a product of leadership spin and self-serving misdirection. It would be better to never have to learn to recover from being misled in such an evil fashion. And now for me the same cliches that used to hold me captive now sound as empty and hollow as any other blatant lie. At least something can be said for having the experience to at least possibly giving somebody an effective warning so they need not see the same kind of misdirection that many of us spent our youthful zeal in for lack of wisdom and experience IMO. (A little content was added for the sake of clarity.) -

I think bringung up the weenie roast is funny Ham, especially how you just did, including yourself in the mix. And doubtlessly we are all better of for your determination to not go to the dark side. TWI is one thing, but what I've heard of the weenie roast does and could be some excellent stories IMO. :P to you all! -
I'm hoping for better things for you soon Roy...... Please take care of yourself, OK.

Your post reminds me that among many Greasespotters I am still a newbie. :B) What happened at the weenie roast? It sounds as if whatever it was Ham, you were not either innocent or bystanding. And besides, it just may possibly be in my humble opinion that you are capable of being above average in the provocation dept. -

Actually Jim, I'm just wondering if your kind words are genuine or simply according to old TWI mind games and double speak. But don't let me saying that confuse you as to my intentions, you don't need to feel any pressure to respond because you really didn't say anything directly untoward. JEFF -
Hang in there Copenhagen. You are completely right about these bastards too from my experience. As if doing such terrible things to a family were just a simple matter of excersizing their authority according to their own little twisted world and whim. And after they do it to folks they paint the ones who complain as "haters" or some such thing therebye more or less insuring that nobody still associated with the group will even listen to their righteous anger. Take Care and I truly look to the day of God Bless for you, JEFF

I'm not offended. What I'm thinking about is the emotional aspect of miising something or someone. Whether or not the person is missing something that may not have really been good for them in the first place doesn't change the fact that they are probably hurting. Sometimes people may even be missing something that they know full well to be truly toxic to them. And no matter the issue, it seems a little bit of empathy or understanding will help when it comes to determining what they need from us or what we may truly need to do in order to help them deal with the situation.

Struggling With Basic Reading, Writing & Grammar
JeffSjo replied to Oakspear's topic in About The Way
It seems to me that a certain amount of prideful attitude can go along with ancomplishments in any field and IMO language skills can be just like that too. But still, having the skills is a good thing in and of itself and without any attitude on the part of the one who has gained these skills IMO they are nothing less than very good skills to have. And as I happen to believe that good thinking may have nothing to do with language skills I see no reason to look down on anyone who simply has not learned the skills. But as a matter of general principle Oakspear and Twinky, I agree with both your statements. It seems the common thread involves deception (either of self or deliberately of others, maybe both) involving perhaps a false self assessment that may even reach the point of delusion for some in TWI; IMO. (edited to correct a grammatical error. ) ( YO, and a freakin spelling boo-boo!) -
Thank you soul searcher and you're welcome.

JeffSjo replied to JeffSjo's topic in About The Way
Hi Jim, thank you for the kind words. While I have been considering just exactly what I will or will not do as concerning the folks I know still involved in the nasty splinter River Road Fellowship rather heavily of late, confusion does not seem to be a present concern of mine. The ones no longer directly involved seem mired in some hidden trained response involving in part, me and my RRF history. And their situation, while different still occupies some concerns of mine and at present there is very little frank back and forth communication. My feeling sometimes may be justified by the circumstances but quite often they do not have the most impact on my decisions. I don't trust them, it's just a part of what I work through. And God will eventually sort it all out, for me and everyone else I believe. I often consider that while remembering my many missjudgements. But thanks again for the kind words, I'm just not so sure about your advice. (edited to correct a grammatical error. ) -
The Way thought to be right, turns out they weren't bright. To cause such a stir, make us drink their elixer. To tear people apart, and make families stir, Only to build their own power. And give us a family with a father in the Word, Whose main pastimes, show him him as a turd.

It seems to me in general that if something that is pure like that record seems a little off it may well be that it is my sensibilities that need to be tweeked. I have seen enough to know that in spite of the same human foibles, that expression of emotion between men is vastly different in the middle east compared to the west. Heck, the Secret Service is trained to give their lives for the president of the U.S. but I bet never once in U.S. history has any such conversation occured between a president and a Secret Service agent. I wonder if it because we immediately go to "romantic love" in our thinking. (edited for the sake of clarification)

My time is up in just a few minutes Ham but before I get back online sometime tomorow could you please explain your comment a little for me? I mean, exactly who sees what as it refers to a factor in helping them see the scumbuckets in charge. And when you lace you sarcasm with the truth as you see things, your sarcasm can be quite enjoyable IMO. :) (yep, no surprise, I corrected spelling) AAAHHHH...Cabernet...that explains it.
