  1. I got in an email today and just had to share -- it's a scream! Make sure that you have a full six minutes to watch it, and that you have sound! Enjoy! ....well... here's a DUH! moment for ya... I just went into the humor forum and found someone else had posted it there first... sow-eee! I was just enjoying myself, as everything here at home has been sooooo serious lately... <_<
  2. Shhhhh + Wreck = Shrek (Unless there's a movie out there called Quiet Carwreck, that I don't know about.... good clues! Very clever!)
  3. FOR THE BEAUTY OF THE EARTH For the beauty of the earth For the glory of the skies, For the love which from our birth Over and around us lies. Refrain Lord of all, to Thee we raise, This our hymn of grateful praise. For the beauty of each hour, Of the day and of the night, Hill and vale, and tree and flower, Sun and moon, and stars of light. Refrain For the joy of ear and eye, For the heart and mind’s delight, For the mystic harmony Linking sense to sound and sight. Refrain For the joy of human love, Brother, sister, parent, child, Friends on earth and friends above, For all gentle thoughts and mild. Refrain For Thy Church, that evermore Lifteth holy hands above, Offering up on every shore Her pure sacrifice of love. Refrain For the martyrs’ crown of light, For Thy prophets’ eagle eye, For Thy bold confessors’ might, For the lips of infancy. Refrain For Thy virgins’ robes of snow, For Thy maiden mother mild, For Thyself, with hearts aglow, Jesu, Victim undefiled. Refrain For each perfect gift of Thine, To our race so freely given, Graces human and divine, Flowers of earth and buds of Heaven. Refrain
  4. We were in St. John, mostly. We drove there from NH - wasn't too bad, really. Maine had some bad roads - after you get past the Bangor area. But St John was great - Loved it! Then we went over to Digby, Nova Scotia - by ferry and loved that, too. The people were super nice and it was soooo clean! We still talk about it all the time and what a great trip it was - I'd love for us to have a summer home there or something. It's not like anywhere I've ever been before... One of our favorite things - touring the Tory cemetary in St. John - no kidding. It was very interesting and so beautiful - like a park - with hydrangia (sp - sorry) flowers everywhere, and old men playing chess. We love wandering in cemetaries and that was one of the best! (Sick... I know...)
  5. Brings a whole new meaning to "undershepharding" now, doesn't it? This tells me that they must have lifted the ban on people having "major pets".....
  6. People who think their kid(s) can do no wrong. Unsolicited advice from strangers (my only exception is from elderly people, and that's just out of respect.) Drivers who cut me off and then go slower than I was going before they got in my way. SUV drivers who think that because they have a big car they can drive well in the snow or rain (usually the ones I see on the sides of the road.) When smokers are inconsiderate about their smoke around me and/or my kids. People who talk on the cell phone while they drive - HANG UP AND DRIVE OR PULL OVER AND TALK! Pickey eaters - any age. Can't relate. Sorry. Dentists with hairy hands.

Bluez - I know that of which you speak. First time I saw the title of it, I remember thinking, "How can they get away with that?" I think it was in a Musician's Friend catalog... But then there's other products like "The Perfect Pair" (tubes - for amps), etc.
  8. I was just choking on the line Belle wrote: When I read your post, Bliss... Now I need The Quicker Picker Up-per to clean off the monitor! You've can't be serious! They really said that? (I believe YOU - I can't believe they went THERE!) So.... is "SOLITARY MASTURBATION" better than "NON-SOLITARY"? It sounds like their teachings are "NON-SOLITARY MENTAL MASTEURBATION" from what I'm hearing! Several years ago someone said this, and it's more truer today than ever... (Paraphrased): "What keeps the Fountian of Living Waters running, is Dr. Wierwille spinning in his grave!"
  9. STOP STOP STOP THE INSANITY! If you go to TWI's web site and click on some of the STS clips they have, you'll see some of the highly pasturized music they're playing now a days in The Victor Paul Wierwille Vomitorium!
  10. Anne Murray - I love her music! She's from New Brunswick and you hear about her or hear her music about everywhere you go. We honeymooned there (Yes, Sudo - it's going to be six years in August!) and had no idea that she was still popular... I guess liking her music is sort of a guilty pleasure of mine.... :)
  11. Thank you, Bluzeman! Curious, eh? Here you go: 1. "The Devil's Song" by Marcy Playground 2. "Mephistopheles" by Trans-Siberian Orchestra 3. "Get Original" by Black Eyed Peas 4. "Vortex" by Megadeath 4. "She Knows the Devil" by Toto And don't forget - he's also mentioned in T.S. Elliot's Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats and Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical Cats (The Magical Mr. Mistoffelees.) Okay... my friend - it's your turn!

Scarey -- a synth with a yellow sign that reads: Butt Probe? I don't WANT to know what that's for! (If you look by the dude's knee, you'll see the sign...)
  13. oooohhhhh, man.... I got to see Aerosmith last fall. Perry started out wearing a long duster-style coat, vest, shirt, etc. - by the time the concert was over he was - you guessed it - bare chested. That alone was worth the price of admission! He's got the best chest - yum! Whoops.... Have we de-railed this thread? So sorry.... (not!) :)
  14. George -- Yes, Mathman is my husband. We met via Waydale in 2000. ChattyKathy -- Joe Perry is always hot! Considering that when that video was made, Aerosmith hadn't cleaned up their act, he looked damn good. ppppuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
  15. Oh, CK... c'mon.... "delicately"? Let it rip already, will ya? (I bet it will be fun and funny!) George -- You can bet that Mathman now has a new anthem thanks to your little link to "Mother-In-Law"! LOL! PERFECT! (He's so far in the dog house that his a$$ has a permenant 90 degree angle in it!)
  16. I've also posted this is the Prayer Forum - click here to read it and see pics. Thanks!
  17. You should have posted that link with some kind of warning... It was every horrible rock cliche ever - and the fact Sam Kennison was singing... well... SCREAMING... was just the worst... If there was a tackiness award, this would get the highest honors! And as for the chick at the beginning... Where is she now?

Actually... the guys were in the early 50's and late 40's! LOL! It made me think of the scene in Wayne's World when they're in the music store with the sign "NO STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN" or something like that... One guy was wailing away on a trainwreck version of "Little Wing" - that should be illegal, unless you can sound as good as or better than Hendrix (and if you sound better than Hendrix, you're probably a pro and get your gear from a custom shop!)
  19. I love your work! I see a Celtic influence there - am I right? Can you speak about the mediums you use? What you like to work with best? What you want to learn more about? What inspires you? Very cool! Please share more!
  20. Aye! There is more than one - several, in fact, and within the past 10 years. However, I think this particular group, which was well-educated to beging with - used this first but it's also used in a T.S. Elliot poem. Some of the more recent examples I'm referring to are not main-stream songs for the most part, but someone could know them or the groups (you will recognize the groups)... It's just one of those words that you'd never expect to hear in a song...
  21. I am sorry to hear that the towels you purchased are shredding now. I understand your concern. I think you should let the BBB (Better Business Bureau) know about your experience. This may also help you - it's a Google search on "Complaints against Overstock.com".... rather educational...

Well... I didn't get the Crate amp... I got something better! One of these: Here's the specs: Series: Fender Bassman Circuitry: Solid State Speaker Configuration: 1 x 15 Power: 100W Channels: Not Available Dimensions: Not Available Weight: 65 lbs. Features: EFX loop 4-Ohm Eminence speaker, Piezo horn, Active/passive input pad selector, Gain; bass; treble; parametric mid control (mid level & frequency), Compressor-limiter, Master volume, Tuner out jack, Tuner mute with flashing indicator, Power amp clip indicator (dual led yellow/red), Compressor level indicator, Preamp clip indicator, XLR line-out, Black Tolex, Metal grill. We went to Guitar Center yesterday and decided the Crate was too small. We test drove a Fender Rumble 60W bass amp. It was a very rainy Saturday and the place was packed. We brought my Ibanez Roadster Bass along - it got a lot of looks and comments - I was a proud mommy! Anyhow, there were a couple of choads who were plugged into horribly loud amps with very cheezy guitars - they sounded like cats in heat. The Fender Rumble couldn't be heard above the din, even at the highest settings and with your ear right in front of the cab. We started looking at used equipment, and that's when we found the Bassman - mine looks like the picture - and it was only $325! (They went for $599 new) It sounds great with my Roadster - can't beat the tone - nice and warm, with a crisp edge - just perfect! And for once, I'm louder than hubby! LOL!
  23. Mephistopheles is not your name But I know what you’re up to just the same Bonus Point: Name another song with "Mephistopheles" mentioned in it....

    BBQ-ing

That's what God made TAKE OUT for... Seriously... I'm on strike that day - I'm not even going to my mother-in-law's house. NA-DA. No way. I'm not changing a diaper or washing a dish. No. No. No. If they want to eat that day, the boys can look between the couch cushions for yummies! All I want is a nap that day - I don't need a fancy feed. (But hubby is getting me a new bass amp - whoo-hoo!) I'm sure I'll pay for it on Monday, but SO WHAT.... it's one day a year! And that bbq routine needs to GO!
