dmiller - that's my bass amp he's on... if you look closely at the knobs you'll see that it would be unplayable at that moment... He wreaks havoc on my amp - I'm glad its solid state and not a tube amp because I'd probably have to store it in a closet (its a monster to haul around)... --------------- Y'all - Hubby just got great news - his band has been booked for a fireworks gig in July in a great location... (see the gazebo to the left in the picture...?) When they play there, I usually watch them from a boat in the water you're looking at - a piece of heaven. It's a 3.5 hour gig - holy crow! But he's excited - he's already planning on bringing a couple of his axes... (more GAS)....

NOW WHAT? New motherboard and safe mode?!

Sushi - Well, I took your advice and pitched a fit on Friday when I hadn't head back from BB about it. They had said they would expidite things - but wating all that time didn't seem that way to me. So, I called the Corporate Headquarters (Home Office). I asked for whomever was at the top of the customer service food chain and told them my gripe. I wasn't mean about it - I'm just not the type to get in people's faces - but I did clearly communicate that this had been a horrible experience. Satuday I got call from Geek Squad - the Lemon Policy was in effect - I could get a new computer. During this time, I decided that my next computer would be a Mac. Today, I picked up my new G5. (Yup, now we got His & Hers G5s) It's got the 17" screen, Intel 2Duo, 1gig RAM, 160gig harddrive, superdrive (CD/DVD burner), and all the bells and whistle. Hi, I'm a Mac.... Got a new printer for it, too - due to a special going on... All for my old computer (which was 3 years old) and $260 more for the difference. The moral of the story: Geek Squad has slow service and no forethought for the customer, but BB has a good Lemon Policy in the long run, which could make it worth it... -

thank you... that was one of those moments where you don't know whether to pull him off it or snap a pic cuz he's acting like a perfect 2 year old.
-
Not to derail y'all here or nuttin'.... but.... I gotta brag on my youngest - he just turned 2 years old on the 14th (yup, Valentine's Day)... Now, if you're wonderin' about what this has to do with gee-tars, look closely at what he's sitting on in this pic... Andreas is growing so fast - his favorite hobby is knob tweaking!

CES and Momentous

exie - because of the wide range of results people have who take it (which I suspect has to do with the instructors who are allowed to run the class unchecked), Hubby NEVER recommended it for me - or anyone, now that I think about it, in the whole 7 years we've been together. Momentus, done correctly, probably could have been a good thing. Sounds like it was a royal mess in how it was managed. -
I use a ground beef/veal/pork mix that you can usually find near the hamburger section of the meat dept. Try the recipe on the back of the Progresso Bread Crumbs box - it's good and the meatballs come out best if you bake them (less grease) IMHO... Not that I have anything against Grease... Spots....

Details of the lawsuits...

I simply can't IMAGINE anyone ever having an integrity issue with Jeff. A nicer man never walked the earth! I remember Jeff befriended Mathman and I back on Waydale in 2000. He was very sweet and supportive. He cheered us on when he heard we'd met up and were dating. He was super excited for us when we announced we were getting married - he even mailed us a wedding present! I couldn't believe it! When he basically left Waydale to go to work for CES when he retired from the service, we wished him all the best. It seemed to be everything he was hoping for in his retirement. It's sad that it turned out to be such a nightmare. I've never met him face-to-face, but to sue this saint - SHAME on them! What non-Biblical morons they are! Jeff will prevail in this - hell, the man was in the military and retired in good standing. I hope he has some of his brother from his years in the service beside him. MG & KG... they're ministers of a god forsaken ministry that sucks the life blood outta people, at best. People like that give true Christians a bad name. -
CES and Momentous

CES/STFI promoted a lot more then Momentus that they didn't fully check into before putting their stamp of approval on it. Momentus was the least of their problems. My husband took Momentus and got something out of it - overall, he had a good experience, sifting through the Word he knows. He was never a 'company man' for TWI or CES/STFI. His experience was similar to The Evan's experience. But there were some problems with the program and some of the instructors which should have been taken care of LONG before things got as out of hand as they did. Additionally, in our area at least, there was a minister who gleefully took a stolen inheritance as ABS (knowing it was stolen), condemned people who wouldn't sleep with him or let their daughter sleep with them, and got a minor pregnant. Did CES/STFI come up this way to help with the train wrecks this guy made of the local fellowships? Heck NO! Did CES/STFI do any damage control or address any of the issues with those who were hurt? Heck NO! Did CES/STFI try to help out any of the people who were hurt by this butt munch of a minister? Heck NO! They might have good intentions at the beginning but they aren't willing to clean up their messes when a mess is made - hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil... this is where they are WRONG! -
Ron - We buy that stuff by the CASE! My kids love it on popcorn - and it's great on about anything. The salt-free version is good, too!

I like LimeWire for it - the quality isn't always the best. http://www.limewire.com/english/content/home.shtml Be careful of security - meaning, make sure you're scanning your files when you download them that you aren't just getting more than a song. Check the Computer forum here on GSC, too - just because I think there was a thread about this there...

Channel 33 - The Spirit? (I assume?) Here's the programming manager's email addy: thespirit@xmradio.com I couldn't find a programming list, but maybe this will help.

So, do you recommend wearing a collar and leash for this "exercise"? Brings new meaning to doing things "doggie style"...

NOW WHAT? New motherboard and safe mode?!

I got the reformatting disks from HP and took them to Best Buy so they could finish setting it up. I dropped them off and was told it would be a couple of hours, so... I went shopping... I came back 2 hours later, the tech was almost done. Then, the computer locked up and the screen was nothing but lines. Now, the video card was bad... PER THE WARRANTY, I am now due a new computer of similar specs! YIPPEE - I feel like I just won the lottery... I was told it will take about a week, but... I'm hoping it happens like that... -
Yes - I've done it. It's better if you mix the soup up first, place the liner in the crock pot and then ladle the soup in. I love the liners - I'd pay someone $5 to scrub the thing out without the liners, so for me, the $0.50 for each baggie is a steal!

I respectfully disagree with your belief. Meaning, I don't subscribe to the belief of evolution and I think you're a heck of a nice guy. If birth defects and genetic impurities exist because God allows there to be an adversary and allows man to sin, then wouldn't God be to blame for allowing this? (Now, watch this thread take off... ) And something in me says somehow Microsoft would be involved.
-
Did anyone else feel itchy after watching all that stuff moving around inside of the cells? Seriously... thanks for sharing that - it's very interesting. I don't know how anyone could watch that and believe in evolution.

That's an excellent book! Getting rid of the TV is one of my favorite rants but Hubby would never do it. I have taught him how to eliminate it more by replacing it with other pastimes, like playing music, reading, and raising two boys. I love radio - probably why I dig iPods so much - but TV just lacks good content for the most part. I do watch History Channel and PBS, with my guilty pleasure being American Idol, but I could give it all up tomorrow and I wouldn't miss it. That book not only gets into the marketing aspect of TV, but the effects TV has on your brain, body and thinking. It's a great read!

I heard someone once say: America has no royalty, so our celebrities are our royalty. I agree. We're always facinated by the rich and fameous, no matter how tragic.

I learned this from someone who grew up in Guam - When you cook Jasmine rice or any rice that you want to come out kind of sticky... Put enough rice in the bottom of the pot so that it comes up to the first knuckle of your index finger, when you place your finger tip on the bottom of the pan. Add water to the pot and slosh the rice around. Strain out the water. Repeat this rinsing process a couple of times. Then, add water up to the second knuckle of your index finger. Place on the stove top and boil, then simmer. Sticky rice! (I love sticky rice!)

It's being said that it looks as though she choked on her own vomit. There's an article on Drudge Report that is link to the story.

I've never had problems making friends, but never have been able to feel close to people after leaving. What's interesting is I met my husband when he was posting on Waydale, in a thread called "Can't Get Close" that he had started. He had the handle of Mathman. He wrote about many of the same things that you all have, but mostly its a feeling that you just can't find anyone who you really click with anymore. Maybe that's why this little spot in cyberspace is so precious to us... most of us...

I hope the people who have a problem with how things are run also remember to VOTE...

dooj - do you mean, you wanna follow the treasure trail? Kristopher, my 5 year old, just ran by as I was posting and said, "Hey, click on THAT!" (meaning the singer - not the dude.)
