    Human Sling Shot

methinks he might need an intervention of sorts...
  3. Ah... you are most certainly my cullinary soul mate! I can prove you wrong on that in one meal. Or at least make you eat your words. You are invited to Chez Chas' for dinner whenever you are in New Hampshire - I will prove you wrong with food that will make you groan with the pleasure you wished you could have exerienced with Ellie Mae behind the Tastee Freeze.... :)

Nope. No way. No how... But GreasyTech...? HOW DO YOU FIND THIS STUFF? (I'm getting worried about you...)
  5. Since you're a webmaster, I'm sure you know what a troll is, right? You're acting like one. How dare you come on here and ask people to divulge their real names and information for you when they have families, professions, etc., to protect. Shame on you. I'm sure many people could and would confirm what GreasyTech told you. But since your head is so far up your rectum, they're not going to bother. She might even answer the freakin' phone - she's in telecomm - but since you're acting like a twit here, you'll never find out. Ditto for the other staffers you asked about. There's info about all of them. You're being too legalistic to accept it. Those of us with "handles" use them for a damn good reason - deal with it.
  6. I gotta say it... HATS OFF TO YOU - WISH I'D THOUGHT OF THAT ONE! LOL!
  7. ahem... dooj.... are you addressing anyone in particular here? my post was tongue in cheek, dear. i won't be voting. and it seems to me that ol' ducttape is making his own m&a policy.... i want no real part of it.... ($10 says it heads for the soap opear forum before the end of the week, anyhow...)
  8. ...dang! That's impressive! (Where is igotout? I bet he'd love to see this!)
  9. ROTFPIMP - That's rich... I vote the moderators move this one to the funnies section... you gotta read the fine print and links there - its a scream...
  10. I don't go by the composer, as much as I do the player... Anything by Elliot Fisk (classical guitar) is ALWAYS good. Ditto for Yoyo Ma.
  11. Here's what you do until Thursday.... Get a "Sounds of Nature" CD, with a thunder storm track on it... Load it into your nearest CD player or play it on your computer... When the 90lb dog shoves her body under your desk for safety, then you're safe to go on line... Problem solved!
  12. gawd... now i'm gonna be up all night trying to figure out how to vote... gee. thanks.

ROTFLMAO! That beer is so bad I'm in awe...
  15. I second that motion! I know there's posters here who don't "get" you - they're too shallow - and I took one to task on his rudeness to you, which was totally uncalled for. You are you. You are true. And you are refreshing.

    Guitar Talk

HA! Love it! You know, I wondered if there was something like that on the web but didn't take time to look for it... I'd love a t-shirt of that...
  19. I think SIT was genuine, and the interpretations, etc., but what I don't think was genuine was the words the people used in the interpretation... Why, for gawdsakes, did people suddenly start talking in the third person in their interpretations - OR WORSE YET - Elizabethian English - good grief! I remember trying not to giggle my sweet fanny off when I was living down in Alabama and Bubba would get called on to SIT w/ interpretation... "Yoshanta, ta lata, pas sada tomatas...." "My beeeloved children, I haf called theeeee from bee-four the found-day-shuns of the worldah..." The other thing that would get my dander was when ministry buzz words started creeping into the manifestations more and more... "I have called you to walk on the PRESENT TRUTH of my Word and to cross the COVERED BRIDGE into the PROMISED LAND..." (And don't get me started on the covered bridge into the promised land crapola - what was craiggers smoking when he came up with THAT?!) Personally, I miss manifestations - no, they weren't earth shattering, but they're far more edifying than the evening news...

Circle of Fifths: I must admit I don't understand a lot of music theory - stuff like this helps. I'm glad I was blessed with a good ear and some rhythm...

My 1978 Ibanez bass is a Japanese model and it's a knock off of a Fender P-Bass. The wiring was stripped out to make it passive and I'm determined I'm going to restore it to active again (that and a million other projects in life, right?) Anyhow, I found a great forum for Ibanez - I haunt this one also: http://www.ibanezcollectors.com/cgi-bin/discus/discus.cgi They're very informative and helpful on this board - you almost never see a flaming and not much snobbery (check out a classical guitar site sometime if you wanna experience that - holy cow!)

Is that the stuff that has banana oil in it? My dad used to clean his guns with something that had tons of banana oil in it - it was gawdawful smelling but I sorta liked it... (from a distance....)
