dang... I just spent $35 to full up a PT Cruiser.... WTF? I bought that thing because I wanted a small car but something the whole family could fit in - I figgured a little 4-cyl was fine... I can't imagine how people with these huge SUVs are faring right now...
-
If you fly to Manchester, NH, ol' Chas can pick you up, as she's only about an hour from there.... :) And I'm a good tour guide! (I know where all the good lobster, tourist traps, bookshops, etc. can be found!)
-
How the heck did they pick some of those places? Fargo, North Dakota Sanford, Maine Boise, Idaho Burlington, Vermont WTF?

Labrador Retriever? Yep. That there's a huntin' dog you have, m'am. They're bred to hunt - especially to sit at a hunter's feet and then fetch the prey when it's down... They can get real doggy smelling when they're wet - they have a lot of oil in their skin because they're bred to be water dogs - they usually love swimming! Well, that oil is the smell your dog is trying to mask... Beagles and Basset Hounds will do the same things - yep, it's gross. But that's what they do...
-
The rolling in yucky things - that's to mask their own scent. I don't know what kind of dog you have, but I would guess it's probably a hunting breed... (a couple of ways to stop them is to put them on a leash or pooper scoop the yard as soon as she goes. The howling - it can be due to the frequency of the noise or it could be he thinks he's hearing another dog howling and he's responding. (Pack instincts.) Some are more vocal than others - again, usually hunting dogs are more likely to howl, but some of the hurding and toy dogs will howl, too.

Do you honestly think the people who just sat at their monitors going, "WTF?" are going to admit it?

Since I read doctors' handwriting all day, that gibberish was a breeze to read!
-
psst - that's because someone got a bigger gift than he did! (as someone who was on the field when that came out - I was GLAD - because if you lived near the limb/branch/twig homes you were getting sucked into everything that came down the pike called a 'gift' - beyond ABS.)

Way Math: Johnny's Way Disciple Team speaks to 14,000 people and 12 people come to fellowhsip. How successful is Johnny's Team? 0.0857% of the people came to fellowship. Outcome: Very successful! ------------- I wonder if they counted every time they said, "you want fries with that?" as talking to people... ?

It hasn't changed. They're taking on a "softer" approach. But the Present Truth is still that it is a sin and those who are or do it should be outside the walls.

Happyasaclam - It was a Corp morning that he said that... it was about that same time he'd go off for an hour or more at luch time with the staff pontificating about his spiritual battles. He believed it. And like you said - we HAD to.
-
He wasn't spending time in those darkened rooms, sweating it out, ALONE.... I'm sure those three-somes were draining.
-
I'm glad for you - I mean that honestly. I've been floundering here and checking out various churches. I can't do the trinity thing - I didn't believe in it pre-TWI and still don't/won't. A good ol' fashioned pentacostal would even be refreshing, but New Englanders are notible stotic people... no luck here. Still... ...A bad church service still beats a good day in TWI!

He's a technophobe - don't count on it.
-
Bolshevik - Profound moment, wasn't it? I don't know if I can dig it up - I'll try - but there was a great thread on Waydale about the Emporer's New Clothes - I think Orange Cat started it, but we're talking 7 years ago now... Lemme see if I can find it - you'd like it - your post just now reminded me of it....

We had just bought some last week for Kristopher. He wasn't too upset when I explained to him today why we had to toss it in the dustbin. Seems like there's a rash of this stuff lately... What could possibly be next?....

Oh, and this guy cashed in honestly? Get real!

Martha Stuart went to jail for her cashing in her stocks at about $50K... big deal...

One of those two women who lived in Rosie-lie's basement was very into the homohunt thing.... She loved smoking out faggots. Oh, does the word "faggot" offend you? So sorry. That was a DIRECT QUOTE! LCM taught that when someone consented or did not confront a homosexual relationship or even thoughts about the act, that they were a homo-sympathizer. He taught that that was as bad as the act itself. The two women who lived in RFR's basement moved out TOGETHER - as a couple. They had even bought each other rings at some point. I'm sorry, but I've had the same best friend for almost 30 years now - we started as friends in second grade - WE HAVE NEVER bought rings for each other. Please! I have NO DOUBT - not one iota - that those two were more than just girl friends. I don't doubt that RFR and DM are more than just friends.... They vacationed exclusively in one bedroom at a resort - that wasn't as good stewardship to save your ABS, my friend. It was for a 24-hr drive-thru carpetburger whenever they wanted it - why else do two adults share a bed like THAT...? Especially when they have millions of dollars at their finger tips.... Gimme a break!

(COPY & PASTE - partial article) ORONTO — The chief financial officer of Menu Foods sold about half his shares in the company just three weeks before a massive recall of its pet food products, Canadian insider trading reports show. CFO Mark Wiens sold 14,000 shares for $89,900 on Feb. 26 and Feb. 27. The shares are now worth about $54,000. "He feels just awful that this link has been made," company spokesman Sam Bornstein said Wednesday. But Bornstein said Wiens faced a restricted window in which he could sell his shares. A blackout period related to the company's fourth quarter results prevented Wiens from trading until Feb. 19, Bornstein said. Wiens sought permission in writing from the CEO to trade then, a standard practice, he said. Wiens currently owns about 17,000 shares. Menu Foods began getting calls about sick cats around Feb. 26, but Bornstein said Wiens would not have known about them due to the size of the company. The calls didn't cause alarm until a week later. "He is a highly principled guy and for the amount of money that we are talking about, for him to imperil his career, it just doesn't make any sense," Bornstein said. ===================== Yeah, right. He feels just awful that this link has been made To the tune of a $45,900 profit he feels bad.... my sweet (__!__) What a choad.... I'm not buying it.

Chef- There's a place you can probably find this in Maine. It's called Tully's Beer and Wine - it's on Route 1 in Wells, Maine, in the Hannaford plaza. We stop there several times a year when we go to the beach (it's just a little over an hour for us.) They have every imported beer you can imagine and tons of wine. It's one of the few places we can find Young's Double Chocolate Stout or Lambic... They also carry local wines - like Maine Blueberry Wine - you'd swear you were drinking merlot. If you're ever in the southern Maine area, seacoast, that's the place to go my friend... Tully's ROCKS!

Last year, when Kristopher was enrolled in a Christian pre-school, I got a little concerned about how much detail the kids would get about what Easter is really all about. Although I think he should know the truth about it eventually, I didn't want him to get a lot of details just yet about the cruxifiction, etc. I remember picking him up one day, just before Easter, and he says to me, "Mommy, I learned what Easter is all about!" I remember sorta biting my lip and asking him to tell me what he learned... (... and I will NEVER forget this.... this is the good stuff in life, this here....) He says, "Jesus got up and Mary was glad!"

You think that's good, you should try it in Greek sometime... (I'll post sometime when hubby has his specs on Greek keyboard.... it's a trip...)

Bol - thanks for the update. I was going by what I knew from when I was on staff... that was some time ago, now. Ted was a good dude - he was my WOW team coordinator in Nashville, TN.

PBS is airing that in my area, too. It's been on before, I believe, but yes, it is very scary... and sorta hits home... :(
