  1. Bol - Yes. They had moved to Buffalo, NY and then I got an email from Marc about a year ago saying they were coming back to NH. However, that computer died a horrible death and the email is lost.... I was hoping they'd check in here and find this.... or someone who knew them would drop in...
  2. Just tell 'em you were in the Witness Protection Program and can't give any further information....
  3. The apparent power is is from the Liefrant to be already-set. This sits down from the active power and the reactive power together these around vekoriell to be added and results in as it were the last-finite apparent power. Everything clearly? who knows it better, is to answer me please...
  4. *bump* In light of the other thread by Eyesopen going on right now about LEAD, I thought this might be interesting to bring up again....
  5. Sorry my posts didn't suit your taste, but dude... I think I gave you sound advice for any used car, anyhow... (a couple of others have seconded my advice, so it's not like I derailed your thread.) About the Taurus... Look for some forums about them - post and check into it more that way. Maybe a Google on "Ford Taurus Forum" and see what you find. I know that some of the Taurus' with the bigger engines - Taurus SHO - are used in street racing (the Intrepid I own is also used in street racing - I belong to a similar forum.) Good luck.
  6. (I disagree about the Japanse cars as being better - I've had bad luck with Toyotas - especially a RAV-4 and probably won't go there again. We've done well with MOPAR or GMC, tho.)
  7. The Ford seems to have real high miles on it - I'd be concerned with things like timing belts and transmission going. Suggestion: Check into what the costs are to REPAIR these vehicles before you buy them. Sometimes the parts cost more than you'd be willing to spend to rescue a car with a ton of miles on it that you're making a payment on. Quick story: We bought a Land Rover FreeLander about two and a half years ago. It had only 32K miles on it and was only about $15K - seemed like a good deal, right? We couldn't have gone more wrong with that SUV - there's a class action lawsuit forming now because of all the problems with them! A new timing belt (actually, there's 3 in that SUV) was $2,400. The tranny blew at 47K miles - that would have been $4K if it wasn't still under warrantee. An oil change was about $100 because it took synthetic oil and a strange (non-standard) size oil filter. It was a TOTAL NIGHTMARE! We traded it when we realized it was blowing seals and gakets like crazy. Then engine went at 72K - AFTER the dealer took it in that we traded it to. It would have been $6K for us to have a new engine installed in it. (We traded it for a safe, boring Jeep Liberty.) We NEVER would have expected that from a Land Rover - and one that was in the $24K as a new vehicle. Forget it! (By the way - Ford OWNS Land Rover.)
  8. I remember meeting Kerry at Emporia when I was headed out WOW in 1989... I noticed the nametag and she responded by saying, "No, I'm not his ex-wife. I'm his SISTER," and she pulled her Farah Focette hair-do off her face and THAT NOSE.... Holy cow! That NOSE was a dead ringer... if she'd put on a bald cap she'd have been a skinny version of Craig with boobs.
  9. "Take it to the wall" Wall? What wall? Why would you take it there? What are ya supposed to do with it once it's at the wall? And what's the wall for? Dang.... That's what you get for putting a cape and crown on a dumb Okie jock in a leotard...
  10. Cutting off part of a toe can't be as bad as waiting for this story.... C'MON....! You're killin' me here....

    Wicca

A couple of years before "getting into the Word" I considered myself to be pagan - the reverence of the earth and living things, respect for others, and acknowledgement of the cycles and patterns for life were part of what drew me to it. I didn't belong to a coven or anything of the sort - it consisted mostly of me reading about some of the teachings and practices - integrating them into my life. The "turn off" to me was I didn't exactly buy into the "Earth is our mother" thing - some of that was a little hard to swallow. Other pagans or wiccians I've met - I've had similar experiences with them. Some were very "earthy" people, hippie-like, while others wore suits. I've met some who are certified clinical chaplains - so there is some organization to the wiccian group, but I don't understand exactly how they achieved that. Anyhow, they were a joy to talk with and learn from - they were less pushy than some of the "Christians" I've known and some even believed in God, as well as the wiccan/pagan beliefs.

    Men's Cologne

OMG - I was in a health food store yesterday and someone in there REEKED of that stuff! I like it - in small doses - but hubby HATES it - that's grounds for divorce in this house!
  14. DON'T DO IT! It takes a while to get the movies to your house again once you send them out - and we often got 2 out of 3 with noticable scratches. I spent HOURS fixing them with that CD/DVD scratch liquid junk (As Seen On TV) so we could watch what was sent to us. We got maybe 6 to 9 movies a month at $24.99/month - almost the same - sometimes MORE - as it costs for us to rent locally. They're a pain in the a$$ - and if you loose the little envelopes they came in, that makes it tougher to send em' back. All in all - no worth it.
  15. Man, if Eve was alive she could sue for slander...

    Men's Cologne

Belle - I know you'll relate to this one... as a child of the 80's... Drakkar and POLO - remember Polo? Nothing screams yuppie at a high school dance like a dude in a Izod shirt - no, make that TWO Izod shirts - wearing Polo....

(Chas was in 1988-2000...) ------ I was thinking it would be cool to have a Guitar Thread CD - maybe some of the great songs we've talked about here on this thread... What cha' think? Could be a neat project.... :)

  22. I know what MIDI sounds like, but what does *MIDI* mean?
  23. Thanks for the advice that those of you gave here earlier - sorry I'm just now getting back to you... If someone gives you a used bowl and accessories, should you clean them with bleachwater or something first? Just wondering...
