I find it rather interesting that someone comes on here worried about the relavancy of a topic, like he has the best interests of this forum at heart, and then manages to break some of the very basic rules we have for this forum. Mr. Lingo has every right to start this thread. Mr. Frisco has every right to wonder about its relavancy, in a rather rude fashion, I might add. Other posters have every right to defend the thread, topic, add information, and give their opinions. A little prickly, yes, but okay... Then, Mr. Frisco jumps on a bunch of posters who take issue with his response, starts name-calling, and having a hissy fit... over WHAT? A subject that he thought was irrevelent in the first place! My advise to you Mr. Frisco, whether you asked for it or not, is to find the back button on your browser like everyone else here knows how to do for those topics that are just so "beneath you".... your opinions will be welcome but your rudeness and namecalling WILL NOT. I can guarantee that! Edited to add this: If you've read much of Sudo, his post was rather tongue-in-cheek. I usually don't stick up for anyone here, but your response is out of line. Lighten up, dude. Life is too short for this!

No, I'm just wondering why someone isn't going after the pet owners on that one... People get more worked up about bicycle helmet laws and smoking bans but nada about the animals because 'oh lookie! a wolf!' (My dander ain't up with you, Hon... it's the idiot pet owners who don't deserve a wonderful Pug like that!)

Garth - you gotta go INTO their profile - like you wanna snoop about what their last post is ect. Next, hold your two hands up in front, palms towards the screen, with your fingers together and your thumbs sticking out at right angles, opposite of each other. :) The hand that looks liks it's making an "L" with the thumb and index finger, that's your LEFT hand. LOOK on the left side of that person's profile info and you'll see the word OPTIONS. Using your mouse, click on the word OPTIONS and you'll get a drop down menu. It's the first option in the drop down.

But if idiot dog owners - who own small breeds like Pugs - know this wolf is around and that he prays on small dogs, why the #%@$ are they there with their small dog? Do they like offering up their pets as wolf kibble? C'mon!

I'm not a mod but I can help you... Click on that poster's profile (click on their name, in other words.) Look on the left-side of the screen for Options - Click on it - and you'll get a dropdown menu. Select the "IGNORE" function on there. You won't see them when you're logged in. If you're viewing the board as a Guest and not logged in, then you will see them. Happy blocking!

Yeah, it was the parents' responsibility to teach the Word.... WHEN? You were at fellowship 3 nights a week, when a class wasn't going on. Then there would be a witnessing night, a phone-hookup with HQ, a public ex, and maybe an emergency meeting because someone had to be reproved in front of the whole fellowship for not dusting the top of their refrigerator... Plus, you had to work full-time, take care of the kids, the house, etc. - at least there were no major pets to get in the way. And let's not forget listening to the STS tapes over and over and reading the Way Mag to be up on the Present Truth. Oh, and don't forget to take the time to write the Spank You notes for the crappy class you just wasted 20 hours listening to AGAIN... PHEW... By then, the kids are 19 and have LEFT the house.

Ruby Bridges spoke at my son's school this year - she was a speaker that the kids and teachers there will NEVER forget!

I loved listening to him tell stories - he had the biggest heart... He'd grab you by the shoulder, get right up in your face to tell his story... saying stuff like, "Oh man! And you just wouldn't believe how BIG GOD IS, man!" in that deep voice of his, but looking like a kid on Christmas morning the whole time - it was infectious! You couldn't help but love the dude because he was so turned on by the Word and God. I hope he's doin' well... I really do.

I love that - the tongue-n-groove pine you see there is what I have in my cathedral ceiling in my home. I wish there was more of it, like in that pic... hmmmmm.... Power tools make good Father's Day gifts, don't they?

Belle - Wild you should bring that up... Similar thing with my ex - I had pretty much forgotten about it. I remember he was excellent at drawing - but we'd been married for years before I ever got to see any of his work becuase he just put it last on things to do. I remember he produced some wonderful drawings and was good at capturing faces - something I've always struggled with - and I wanted him to work on drawing more. He had a gift! But he's still in.... I bet he hasn't drawn in YEARS.... More talent squandered. How sad.

I was thinking the same thing... I had some good leadership when I was in, too. People who honestly cared and loved God. They were a joy to work with but as the screws got tightened, people got the boot or left on their own, these sorta people were scarse. It's sorta sad that the ones that come to our memories first are the ones who did the most harm. It's even sadder that it's practically the SAME person for a few of us here - that speaks volumes, doesn't it?
