(((cman))) You're a good dad... that's why...

I thought it was for the coffee that had been stretched by adding an extra fresh scoop of coffee grounds on top of the old grounds... Go figgure! Seriously... They've had no new light in DECADES - nothing new. The research department has like 20 books now, and that's counting the collaterals. And people are flocking to them for their knowledge? Please tell me he was joking....

KEWL! I'll have to check that out between episodes of Sesame Street and Barney...
-
wow... what wine do you pair with that??
-
But if I sign hubby up for all this, then who's gonna mow the lawn and clean the pool?
-
Onion - do you still do jewlery repair? I have a triplet opal in a sterling silver basket setting that needs to be replaced - the stone fell apart (the top layer came off)... Can you fix something like that? I love the ring - I got it in Bar Harbor like 20 years ago and have worn it almost every day!

mstar1... that was tongue-n-cheek, darlin'... think about it... where else did you hear preachers talk like that EXCEPT in TWI?

WACKY! You are missed! Glad to cyber-see you! How's the big, wide world of Cranberry Yarn and other Wacky endevours? Hope you're doing well - post more, please!!!!

When you shock people they listen better - dropping the f-bomb just before hitting a point home is a tactic of many speakers - especially commedians and preachers. I noticed that Craiggers was really bad with that in the late 80's and early 90's but that he backed off it in the mid-90's - did someone tell him to cool it or something?
-
Oy, Nate! You've hit some good ones there, my friend!

Not a big Wiki fan here but I did check out his myspace page. I dig his work and he reminds me of the beat poets of the 60's. There's a little Jack K. influence there for certain.

Uh, no... The first two videos - in your first post, at the start of the thread... :)

Man, that sounds like a blast! I've done a simple version of that at Kristopher's birthday party last year, but it was more like I just hid a bunch of those little army guys around the property (we have a neat little stone wall that goes along a brook behind the house) and the kids went nuts there. It worked great for the 4-5 year old crowd. But the idea of now doing it with flashlights or making it more difficult is challenging and fun. I probably could have put a dime down for the treasure and he wouldn't have cared - he thought it was great. And I thought it might be a good exercise in following directions for him (something he's sorta challenged with right now...) I will get the GPS in the mix at sometime because the little guy loves anything electronic (like all kids - myself included) and takes to gagets like a fish to water. I think I'll start simple and we'll go from there...

Who is the speaker in the first two videos? BTW - love Dennis Miller!

Hubby has a co-worker at his school who is into it but says you have to have a couple of GPS divices to pull it off... As a little experiment on a very rainy day, I wrote up some "coordinates" in the house for Kristopher to go by to find a prize (a Tootsie Pop) - there was about 20 steps and it was detailed. It was stuff like, "With your back to the TV, take twenty steps. Turn left. Take 40 steps. Look to your right." He was able to read it fine (that little guy reads very well - I was impressed!) and follow the instructions. He LOVED it - begged for more. (Dang he's fun!) I think he's gonna do great and we're gonna have some fun this summer with it....

LOL - i am so sorry....

I had a cat who liked Coco Pebbles Cereal... she'd eat it without milk - I dunno why she liked it, but she did... ... made for some interesting Saturday mornings as a kid - I'd pour a bowl of cereal for both of us and we'd watch cartoons together...
-
What was God smoking when He created cats? Dunno, but it musta been good....
-
You know you were in TWI if you've ever washed and reused disposable plates, utensils, and cups (like Solo cups)...

Could this be it? http://www.cgmusic.com/cghymnal/members/asonginthenight.htm (Sorry, before my time...)

Did you happen to be at the Advance Class Special in TX when that was played? Holy crap... that was sick....

Evan... He was at least a Fivehead, c'mon!

How odd... I just thought of this thread yesterday, before it was active again...
