I had pimped it out - the Cruiser was a Limited edition and had chrome wheels, and special trim. I added a black bra to it, silver ghost flames, chrome grill, chrome wheel well trim - you get the idea. Lots of bling. I added a 6-CD changer to it, with remote. I was just getting ready to put a breather on the hood when we decided to have another baby... Two kids - two kids who can REACH each other in a car is well... MADNESS! If I could, I'd build a brick wall between the two crumb snatchers. The Town & Country has captains chairs in the first and second row - the boys can hardly reach each other - PHEW! (At least for now...) If I had purple, I'd make it a woody - I love those with wood panel. Ditto for the cream colored Cruisers - they look like vanilla ice cream with a waffle cone!

But today I bought a minivan! AAAARRRGGGHHHHHHHHHH! It's a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country (white) and has lots of cool options (leather, power seats, etc.).... It's the "red drapes" edition :) , as Kristopher got his believing. He wanted a van with a DVD player soooooo bad... I really didn't care about that option - but he got exactly what he was looking for! I'll miss my PT Cruiser, but I won't miss the lack of room - our family quickly outgrew that car...

Sometimes it's not what you say but how you say it that counts. A gentle correction isn't a problem. A couple of posters ganging up on someone else and spewing insults about that person's education level is a big problem. I take issue with the latter of the two and do not welcome those who come in here with a "holier than thou" attitude. Will someone get more rewards at the Bema because they used spell check? Will someone get healed faster because they properly used commas? Those who are busy making fun of others need a different hobby and I'd be glad to give them something that will keep them busy for a long time...

Considering that "I am that I am," was spoken to Moses from God... well... I don't see anyone jumping thru any grammar hoops there, do you? <_< So... what's the reward for that? An M&M? (Edited NOT to fix typos...)

my oldest will love the pig candy - bacon is one of his favorite things... and every kid loves sugar!

What *if* the police auctioned the car and gave the money to a homeless shelter? Would that be better for you?
-
you know... i've really HAD it with the grammar police around here lately... dmiller - you know i think the world of you man... but was that really necessary? you all knew exactly what i was talking about - i'm a very busy person and this is about the one social connection i have left in life. if my grammar and being just human is a problem, i can go elsewhere.... i'm really fed up with this...

I'll try - here I go... Many ships have different captains and some of those captains are living, while some are not but Cap't Jack Sparrow is still without a boat in the end. Legends, lore, and myths can end up in the form of crabs. "Do you think he just makes it up as he goes along" wasn't being said about Jack Sparrow in the movie, but the DIRECTOR!

I have NO idea if this is a good wine or not, but there's one that makes me snicker every time I pass by it on the shelf at the grocery store... The label has a cute play-on-words: Screw Cappa Nappa Yes, it's wine with a screw-top... but it's too funny!

Brown bread - yes, you can get it at any grocery store, usually in the bakes beans section. I also have a killer recipe for it - it's my mom's recipe (mom wouldn't be caught dead buying brown bread) and it's also cooked - you guessed it - in a tin can! I'll post the recipe later... hang tight...

I believe that God put me on this earth to accomplish many things and at the rate I'm going, I'll NEVER die... Seriously, I hope I'm never ready but that I just expect the next day to come up and somehow, just sleep thru it...

A sign hanging in our house... Cats are like potato chips - you can't have just one!

I've noticed there's some really cool avitars lately... Why did you pick the one you have? What does it mean to you? I'll go first: When I started at Waydale in 2000, no one had yet adoped the dopey little black cat gif avitar. I felt bad for him... he just sat there, day after day... with his dish of milk. He needed to go places and check out threads. There was trouble to be gotten into, damnit! So... 7 years later... here we are! I love my little black cat and have shared him with Twinky, who was kind enough to return him to me. I love my ChasCat... Just remember... never cross a black cat's path!

I guess it bothers me because I was hit by a car when I was a kid - I was 5 years old. I was with an adult and in a crosswalk. The other cars had stopped to let us cross. I was vertically challenged at 5 years old. The woman who hit me never saw me - she tried to creep thru the crosswalk and then gunned it. I was thrown about 50 yards but because it was early spring and I happened to be wearing a very thick down jacket, I was only badly bruised (couldn't walk for a few days because my right hip was so bruised that blood came out through the skin - no cut - just pushed thru. But I couldn't imagine what a break would have been like... My left knee, which I landed on and skidded on, still has problems to this day. The woman who hit me was devistated - she just didn't see me. She wasn't speeding or anything - but was admittedly impatient. That was a small error, really. What if she had been knowingly and purposefully breaking the law? What then? This guy will kill someone if he continues on like this - and it wouldn't matter if he was driving a Viper or a VW Bug - speed kills - but by him misusing his Viper like he does, I have no sympathy for him at all. He doesn't deserve the car or the privilege of driving. This isn't a case of the guy just going 20 or 30 mph over the speedlimit - he was 100mph OVER - crazy! - That's a deadly weapon!! p.s. Incidentlly, my husband was also hit by a car when he was a kid - the driver was speeding. He was about 15 at the time. He broke his tibia, femer (in three places), and his humerus. He was thrown up over the car - he hit the car three times - and he's had many surgeries to pin the bones in his leg and have the pins removed. He was very, very lucky.

This guy had numerous charges against him... How much longer should he be allowed on the road? Until he kills someone? Because then it would be a case of "oh, why didn't those liberal judges stop him earlier?!" What if he was using something else, say a gun, to break the law? Then what? Let him keep it? Heck NO! The guy is a total moron for driving like that - driving is a PRIVILEGE not a right. Take away his toy, take away his keys, and lock his @$$ up!!! BTW - We have 2 cars that were built for speed - one is a Porsche. We don't drive like that - we belong to a club where we can go to a race track to drive like that, when we want to. It's much safer and more fun because there's no fear of doing something we shouldn't be doing or getting caught....

ROTFPIMP - Love it! Yes, please tell - where did you get that?!

Well said, Mo I'd like to add, that those who are engaging in the personal attacks, which have been noted on other threads besides this one, never bother to try to iron out communication differences but rather seem more content to begin personal attacks. I hate to think the impression it leaves on those who are lurking here but don't dare post because the Grammar Nazis... Why is there an x-way site? Because wonderful people like Pawtucket and his army of Moderators (the KISS Army - LOL!) all take good care of this place so we have it...

OMG - I can't believe I had forgotten about the rec room - man... I played pingpong for hours there... There was some cool stained glass (a la TWI-style) but cool... I wonder what became of that... ?

John - just for conversation sake (and learning)... (read: Chas ain't trying to pick a fight here...) How is it better than Apple? Apple has a new OS coming out and has Apple TV. I've found networking is much simpler and I don't miss the tweaking of the Windows all the time... Since you're a techy, I'm wondering what your take is on it...

Bacon wrapped water chestnuts, soaked in tamari sauce, and then gently saute'd ---- ROCK! p.s. My x was from AL and had grown up eating squirrel - liked it roasted on the bbq.... i couldn't go there... my parents were humane agents and we had raised squirrels as PETS!

Interesting this subject just came back up... Just last weekend I had pulled out the slow cooker and was getting ready to slow cook a pork roast to make pulled pork. I put the stoneware in the cooker, turned on the heat and added my ingredients. About an hour later I heard this awful hissing noise. I checked the cooker and the crock was cracked - almost in two! The thing was less than 3 months old! Ever have this happen? The last one I had was almost 10 years old when it gave up the ghost - and it had quite a busy life. I bet had used this one maybe 10 times.... :(

oooh - that sounds great - I love TJ's and there's rumor they're coming up my way here in NH - we have to go about 2 hrs. south now to get to one...

oooh - Mr. Miller... boy do we love Antiques Road Show! And from time to time they have a great guitar featured - I love hearing about them and any lore that might be connected with them - but then when the final estimated value of the piece is disclosed to the owners... THAT'S PRICELESS to watch!
