  1. Homos are way too high on that list for them... you've insulted squirrels with that one.
  2. I think it was wise that they had it on grounds because what if someone had gotten up to dance? <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
  3. OK you baseball fans... hang tight because Andreas is now signed up for T-ball and the season begins in one week... Yup... the baby is now gonna be in the game - and he's raring to go... (but hasn't figured out if he throws right handed or left handed yet...) Any way to figure out which hand is the best one?
  4. I tried to draft a response to that douche nozzle that you might want to send but the "bad words" filter bleeped out everything... Dear ....face, I'm sorry but I don't recall requesting your insipid opinion of what might be wrong with my daughter, you assmunch. Your opinion is like your .... - it's dirty and it stinks. Bible 101 you ....tard - the adversary doesn't posses people. Go take another class and give a .... up cult some more of your money, won't you? And dreadful choices? Let's talk about those. What possessed you to think your ....y email to me was actually a good idea? You regret you can't reveal yourself to me but that's because you regret selling your backbone, brain, and foot to a corn-field cult so that they could .... you over anytime they wanted. I know who you are and you don't intimidate me. I don't the need the forgiveness you're offering you Pharisee. Remember my husband? You're damn right I do. He's be as equally ashamed to be a part of the feces you're spewing. Get behind me bitch and don't contact me again. Burn in Hell, Shellon I so wish you could read that in the original context....
  5. This isn't uncommon in most work places these days... I don't doubt that some sorta tax write off might not be involved with this... But is this really a bad thing when you think about it? I don't think so. I think it raises community awareness, gives your employer some good PR, and might give you a life-experience you haven't had before. Maybe you can suggest other volunteering options to your manager, if the opportunity presents itself. I hear your concerns about CHOICE but still... what is it exactly that's so bad about this?

    thread

I'd wager this has to do with music... Beatles, Beck, Stones...
  7. "Love" notes from a girl .... though she was writing something about an incident from recess, so really... who knows... A letter from the Principal... it was Andreas' shorts, so I assume he just forgot it was there... he'd only carried it for two days because he thought it was soooo special... Legos.... lemme tell you how many Legos have gone into the washer and dryer.... seriously.... hundreds. Now, ask me what I've found in my husband's pockets.... he's a school teacher... go ahead, guess.... RED PENS....
  8. While we're on the subject of "odd" instruments... Check out this guitar at the beginning of this video... It's a custom guitar made by Hugh Manson and the guitarist of this band (Muse), Matthew Bellamy. It has a built-in Z.Vex Fuzz Factory (basically a midi control pad) which gives Bellamy his distinctive sound and the ability to manipulate the pedals oscillation sounds without bending down. In addition, it has an MXR Phase 90 phaser, a Roland midi pickup and uses Bare Knuckle and Kent Armstrong pickups. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
  9. I'm running Windows 7 on my iMac and finding it's a very "XP-like" in the features. It's not as mind-bending as Vista seemed to be and is much more straight-forward. I think the joke about why Windows 7 has the name that it does went something like this: "It's named Windows 7 because 'At Least It's Not Vista' was too long to put on the package!"

    My new Mac

Congrats on your new ride. I bought an iMac four years ago and it's still running strong. We've upgraded the memory in it and it's still a workhorse. I love it!
  11. Posting on the fly - sorry this is short - but GREAT JOB - WHOOOOO HOOOOOO!

    It's March 4th!

Huh? (Walter was gone before I was in-TWI... ) Please expound.

  14. Hi there, Brainy. I'm married to someone who was in TWI but we were not in at the same time. My husband was a poster on Waydale and went by the name "Mathman". Of course, I was and always will be, ChasUFarley. We're probably one of those normal couples that Krys referred to...... bahahahahahaha - not. (Forgive me, I have a sick sense of humor and don't take myself that seriously...) I started posting on Waydale in 2000, just days after leaving TWI. I had been in the chat rooms, etc., as early as 1999, while I was in, but just didn't have the nerve to post until I had truly left. I had found Waydale because LCM had told Fellowship Coordinators not to go on the internet, which screamed, "I'm hiding something!" to me... I had mentally and emotionally checked out of TWI about a year prior to leaving but was scared to death to cut the ties. Anyhow learned there were a few posters in my area in New England, and one of them was Mathman. He was in from about 1982-1988. I was in from 1988 - 2000. Our paths never crossed in 1998 - we were in around the same time for just a couple of months at that time. Now we're married, homeowners, two children, etc. - the American Dream, if you will. Like other posters have said it's nice not having to explain things about my past to my spouse. I also find that the longer I'm out and removed from that old life, the less I need to talk about it. I now look for opportunities to help other people distance themselves from that life - even it's just to listen and sympathize - or to share what's worked for me. I'm not on this board as much as I use to be simply because I'm pretty busy these days. I do believe that people here on this board should be given respect when sharing about their situation - and I don't tolerate anyone saying they're not "real" victims. We also have a network of friends - his and hers - that are also former TWI members. Some of them have moved on to other organizations or spin-offs, others have moved on to other religions, and some are even agnostic or atheist now. No matter - we love them and don't look down our noses at their diversity. As long as they're respectful of us and our beliefs, they'll get the same back in return. It's never been a problem. And please, don't think of yourself as being "more fouled" than others... you're seeking help - professional help, I assume, and that's more than I can say for many folks who need it but are too ashamed to get it. Good for you! (I mean that sincerely.)
  15. My experience was like Twinky's but my thoughts are like Belle's... No smoking... no drinking... no pot... no fun... "Where's your self control?" when the response should have been: "Where's yours, sir?"
  16. Funny, I looked at the dog/face and thought: "Wish I had chops in PhotoShop to do that...."
  17. It's now February 14 and someone special is 5 years old today. Who knows if he'll be famous, but once you meet him, you'll never forget him! (L to R: Kristopher (8 yrs old) and Andreas (5 yrs old)
  18. I just wiped a tear from my eye because I was laughing so hard at your question.... My answer: Heck no.
  19. Put a teaspoon of rum extract in it - that really brings out the banana-flavor... I make something like this but call it "junk banana bread" - I use up odds and ends of shredded coconut, chocolate chips, nuts, etc - anything that I've got in the baking goods cupboard. Just throw it in... bake it... YUM

    Get a life!

... after all the years we've been a part of this forum or similar ones, it's generally TROLLS that say, "Get a life." I wouldn't bother putting my time and energy into responding to their inflammatory remarks.

Do you have to remove the sheer "entertainment-factor" from everything? I prefer to filter stuff like this through my own beliefs, seeing it for what it is, and go along for the ride. I wasn't tempted to try Eastern religion because I watched a Beatles documentary or drop acid because I watched The Doors, nor did I start singing with fish because I watched The LIttle Mermaid.

    Tracking Santa

We used this last night to shoo the little ones to bed... they loved it and Andreas, our 4 year old, got out the globe so we could show him exactly where "Santa" was at...
