Never said that. What I am saying is many people stay together because of what a pain in the butt it is to be divorsed in this country. As I have read in the two posts above MaryPoppins and Digitalis'. Yes I see it as a commitment before God. I believe in the vows. As you can read in the two posts, there were spouses that did not take their vows serious. If that happens and you stay with the person that does not take vows serious. I see a set up for misery and possible abuse. Does God want that? Eff no He does not. God would want you out of that situation ASAP. Commitment takes two people in a relationship. IMHO two people can be just as commited towards each other never being married. I don't think God minds that one bit. Bottom line to get a divorse takes some nads because of all the hoops you have to go through to get out of a bad situation. Ie. I had a couple that lived above me when I was 19. He beat the effn crap out of her time and time again. You would here her say "NO CARL" then a huge thud. The thud was her hitting the ground. A couple of years later I saw her around town. I had moved. She had a bandage covering half of her face. I asked her if Carl had done that. She said yes but he did not mean to hurt her. I know why she was still with him deserves another thread but my point. Did God want that for her? How far should people take a commitment johniam? There are times when it is over and nothing should stop it.

Go back? Never ever I was trying to say that that may start the change in twi to "start" to move things in the right direction. Hell it would take twi 100 years to right the wrongs even if they were aggressive about it. Well they are not going to admit they were wrong any how. twi to me is like a "double flusher" . I read every bit of it. Who did this remind me most of at twi? I have heard what a great person this was when he ran a branch or an area and how most people loved him. Strange what this person must live with today. JAL and M!achel F*rt were the corps cordinators. M!chael F*rt IMHO was the biggest prick. How many tantrums did I see him throw? I can't remember. I do know that when he would be running any kind of meeting you knew there was going to be an awful lot of screaming and belittling of a person or a group. Funny thing I am sure there were times he was nice to us but I can't remember a one. I have read where he really was a nice person but never to any of us who were under his direction in the corps unless you knew him personally. I guess M!achel F*ort has to lay in the bed he made for himself. I will always consider him trash. To set the record straight. He never did anything personal to me. Just the way I saw it.

Also people that are going to be the future leaders are "groomed" to take over. The new leadership that is picked to "keep on keeping on" with the tradition of twi. The people that are going to take over will also be very jaded people and the corruption will continue. JMHO The only way for twi to come clean and to really change is to start with a public apology then start changing their doctrine. I wont for a second believe twi is changing until that public apology is made. Even then I will be a skeptic but it is a start in the right direction.

djs, I would never call you a liar and I am sure things seem a lot better. They probably are from your perspective. Now lets flash back 26 years when I was involved. A pfal grad. Our home fellowships were fun. We did the word as best we could and brought new people to twig. Mean while ole vp and lcm were at hq raping our sisters in Christ. Suicide was going on because of our leaders but I thought everything was so Godly from top to bottom. I left in 86 only to find out in 99 what really was going on at twi. I never knew any of it even being in the corps. I had heard rumors of abuse. Now vp is dead and lcm is gone for ever (IMHO). One thing that still bothers me is the leadership that still is there. It is the same leadership that knew all about the abuses and also helped in those abuses. I guess my point is.............They can change their tune and try and make it like twi in the olden days but just remember how corrupt it was then. I do understand what you are saying and it may seem like things are changing but the top leadership are still the rotten apples that made people die and ripped lives apart all in the name of God. I do like to hear how you now perceive twi now. I believe it to be truthfull and honest. Thank you for comming here and being honest with us.

I too thought I had gotten over twi in my time too. I left twi in 1986. I looked year after year for anything on twi on the web. I found WayDale and was shocked what had happened in twi. It stirred up a lot of emotions and I have never ever had one nice thing to say about twi ever since and never will. I signed up at GSC while WD was still up and running. All the action was at WD. Very heavily moderated as it had to be because of the lawsuite. Well after the lawsuite was over and waydale closed down I came to GSC. I really did not like it at all. I liked the heavy moderation as WD had and its' one purpose. It took me awhile to get used to the more free flowing here at GSC and I got used to it and really began to enjoy GSC. I went away for a couple of years and would check in every once in a while to see if there was any breaking news. GSC had become my link to twi and the going ons'. That was all I needed for that 2 years I was not active on the boards. I am back on posting. For how long? I don't know. I do know that when I want to see what is happening with twi I can always return to GSC. GSC is such a great place where many different ideas are exchanged and it all seems to work. Thanks Paw for an awsome site.

Hi djs. Yes I can see and understand what you are saying about how twi is trying to change its stripes. I see the same people are still at the top. The same ones that stood behind vp and lcm and let them (vp and lcm) run rampent and hurt or destroy peoples lives. They are all still there in their cozy homes with pools and all the comforts. They don't lead the style that they wish for you to live. To the contrary. According to them they will tell you all about "Worldly things" and how bad they are but they live that life style they say you should not live. I really am glad to see you post and give us the insight of how things have changed. It sounds like they are trying to bring back the twi 60's - 70's. Just remember this, it was corrupt then and IMHO still is today. Don't think for a second what your job is to them. It is to bring them money. twi is a scam. It is people like you who do have the love of God in your heart and want to bring people to God. If I read your posts right you are like the thousands of others that truly want(ed) to help people. IMO twi roots are rotten to the corps and that has not changed. I will never go back and will never try to push someone to go to or go back to twi (unless I don't like them, heheheheh a joke) IMO again they have changed their stripes but are the same beast that they ALWAYS were. I would love to see one of the bot's come here and apolgize for the wrongs that have been done. Not for us to go talk to them. True Story. I was working construction. We were putting in the sills on the brick work for the foundation of a house. Had a nice 3/4 inch electric drill. Well one guy was drilling the drill slipped off the sill and ended up wrapping his shorts up in it. almost the worst possible place. Right beside "IT". One guy unplugged the drill and Don who had the drill bit wrapped up in his shorts looked at Jim and almost crying said "Jimmy plug it back in". Jim did and Don put the drill in reverse and baked the drill bit out slowly. Don reached down in his shorts and pulled out a wad (looked like a brillo pad) of pubic hair that the drill bit ripped out by the roots. He sent someone to the store to get rubbing alcohol. When the alcohol got there Don turned his back to us and poured the alcohol on the skin that the hair was ripped out from. He jumped a country mile and let out a loud scream. We all just fell out laughing. So I guess a drill could take the place of a wax job for you girls.
