Behind someones back??? This is an open forum, any could be here if they chose....lol No doubt if they didn`t DO these horrible things....things that prove them untrustworthey to be stewards of ANYTHING.....then there would be nothing to talk about I guess We are examining the fruit THEY manifest in order to determine whether it is spiritual or fleshly. ALL things that are encouraged scripturally. I am sorry that the leaders of so many of these offshoots do not meet the scriptural criteria for one who claims to be of the spirit....shrug. I think that money sent to them is fascilitating further evil and hurt to be perpetrated on innocent people.

Well duh....nobody THINKS that they are being decieved...that is why it is called deception... and as far as I know my money is not being used to promote evil. Ahhh there is the key.....However, the man that is currently in cgarge of your group was one of the great facillitators of evil...somehow I doubt that his motives have become altruistic in the ensuing years.... Unforunately you are not only concerned with where YOUR money is being used; It`s called accountability jean. you have taken upon yourself the responsibility to decide how other people's money is being used, and apparently decide that it's being used for evil when you have no idea if that is true or not. Those are your words not what I said at all Maybe you should confine yourself to finding out how your donations are being used (if there are any). If there is any??? Was that supposed to be an insult?? No doubt you wish that I would so that nobody holds the people that are decieving accountible.... Well seeing as MY money WAS used to fund abortions, shopping sprees, exotic vacations..buy the motor coach that women were raped on, no doubt even the very drugs that were slipped in the drinks......I guess that it DOES matter where my money is spent and how it is used. My money allowed evil men to sate their lusts of their bellies. My money allowed them to buy property and put forth a facade of respectability. Without our money to facilliate their activities...evil could not have thrived. I`d say that IS my business. That people are still being decieved and used is my business as well. I wonder if you would say the same thing about the money the christians gave to THEIR church for God`s use in Jones group..some of which bought the cyanide that was force fed to the children, that bought the bullets and guns that assasinated the government officials who were trying to get people out.... I think that it is our responsibility to ensure that our money is not used to promote evil....shrug

There have been 5 weenie roasts to date. All you have to do is declare a place and time, appoint a benevolent dictator for final say so in all decisions, appoint minions to carry out the details of time, place, gather information, assign meals...etc Reading former weenie roast threads could be considered helpfull in order to avoid the dangers that can befall participants.... You can pick up usefull hints such as state parks are NOT appropriate if you plan on indulging in adult beverages, as it is illegal and the local law enforcement takes a dim view of such activity. Carefully inspect any logs thrown on the fire for evidence of poisonous ivey or oak, as the smoke will definately coat every member present, creating serious difficulties..... Never allow the children in camp to accompany the adults in a snipe hunt.... Carefully check to make sure that you havbe all ingredients necessary for the meals ... Chocolate brownie mix is NOT an appropriate substitute for the forgotten sugar when making biscutes.... To mention a few general rules of thumb. :)

I thought that we really were in a spiritual battle, that God needed me on the front lines. I was resolved not to weaken no matter what the physical circumstances were. To consider or do otherwise, was to be defeated by satan.

True highway, I didn`t mind everyone having fun...you all really are very funny. I just couldn`t get past thinking of an elderly woman, how attached to that little dog she would have been. Usually those little dogs don`t wander far from their owners. It bothered me to think of her being denied the pleasure of her little dog`s company. Sorry to be a damper.

Agreed Bow. They develop a product and convince people not only that they need it, but even get these people to convince OTHER people that they need it as well. They then are able to convince people that God needs them to give a percentage of their money to these people for the rest of their lives in order to prosper.... God is the pretty shiny wrapper that they place around their product to make it and themselves look legitimate. Having been scammed once, people don`t want to have to admit that it happened again.

I am sad thinking of Mrs. W being deprived of something that brought her so much pleasure, simply because it was an annoyance to vp.

Pipes, you make some pretty harsh accusations. Folks here are trying to get to the bottom of things. To give everybody the collective finger, even those fighting to get to the bottom of this mess is a shame. People are worth fighting for, this is a place that needs fighting for....I wish that you could see the worth of both to the point of being willing to get to the truth of the matter. I am sorry that you were hurt.

There are some serious misunderstandings going on. No doubt people are working to try to get to the bottom of it. I`ll say this....This place and the people in it are worth fighting for. To give us all the collective finger, even those whom have loved and prayed for, who have cried with and loved you, isn`t right either. The screw you all, your not worth my time is pretty harsh. I am sorry that you won`t stay and fight for the truth of the situation. I am sorry that because you have an unresolved issue with a few people that you dismiss the rest of the folks that have cared. DO what you need to do for you, I am sorry that you have been hurt. I cannot force you to see how much that you are cared for by folks, nor how much benefit we can offer one another, or that I believe that it is special enough to stay and fight for if you have been wronged.

Oh contrair captain....I don`t believe that he is in hell at all...I don`t think he cares one bit about what he has done to others...as a matter of fact, I don`t even believe that he is a genuine Christian in SPITE what he thinks, or he wouldn`t be so devoid of a conscience. THAT is what makes his attempt at a book so laughable. He is devoid of character and conscience. Certainly not somebody I would trust to present Godly information. Welcome thankGodfinally.....They both have a lot to answere for one day. As for Connie counseling women to abort....it seems that even the *nice* limb leaders wives pushed this solution mercelessly. What did this fall into the wife catagory jobs? I know that my lc`s wife that pushed me, had been forced to do the same when she was in the early corpes.

Well, not addressed TO God...but like from God to us....Bob Stanly`s *I love you* song is my all time favorite. It was sung as if God was talking directly to us....... I remember listening to that song non stop ...trying to believe it when I felt I was the most horrible scum on the planet...that I couldn`t go on...Listening to it helped pull me through some of my darkest hours. Sorry ....that wasn`t the question asked I guess.

You don`t think he KNOWS what he did? He knows, he just doesn`t GIVE a damn. If the guy cared, IF the guy had changed..if he had any inkling of what it meant to be a genuine Christian, not to mention a man of character and integrety....he would have contacted people and begged their forgiveness. He would be attempting to make amends to those he so callously destroyed. For him to write a book claiming insight about God or justice is blasphemy. I`ll bet he feels that he has been treated unjustly now that he isn`t a big shot in twi any more. He needs people to feed that ego of his.

I LOVED the music .... still do. It didn`t matter who sang what style, I enjoyed it. Each song ministered to my heart, each inspired me in a way that the dry boring teachings never did (course that was BEFORE singing ladies of the way....THAT was a treat I missed) ;)
