What was inapropriate about those scriptures oldies...specifically? ...It would appear that they speak of exactly what we witnessed in twi. You don`t like galations...you don`t like the scriptures (from 11 peter?) that cw quoted...seems to me as if scriptures bug you and are considerd misaplied whenever they condemn or warn of the darkness practiced by wierwille and his ministry. I guess what you are saying is that scriptures don`t count if they condemn wierwille and other men of the flesh....If they warn us to beware of the snares these predators lay...

But that is a whole nother discussion oldies...what Shaz said shouldn`t change the premiss of YOUR thread... *Throwing out all twi teachings because of wierwilles transgressions* does not in any way equate with your first assertion that we were *Renouncing the word because of others sins* Two totally different critters. One action makes absolute sense...the other would be an extremely foolish thing to do.

Excellent idea Paw...any thoughts on an apropriate location? We talked about having another gathering in the spring...this seems like just the excu er occasion to celebrate!

Ummm lessee what do we define as truth...wierwille taught so many outragious things in order to justify the sating of his lusts...He had no moral compass...showed himselfto be of very poor character...and was shown to have had very little integrety... It seems very silly to trust anything he taught...or defined as *truth* ...it would be foolhardy to entrust the well being of our spiritual souls to any possible truths that a man such as he might have managed to keep from contaminating.

Very interesting....wierwille came up with a ministry and doctrine that ALLOWED himself and those he chose to indulge in immoral at times even criminal behavior without impunity! Pretty darn clever to find a way to make the indulgance of your vices acceptable and appear even Godly....in DIRECT contradiction of the scriptures that you utilise in order to appear as a spiritually healthy organisation....whew

I have to say though, that I think that you were wrong about birth control...Honstly now...who needed it when there were ALWAYS abortions for those occasional *oopsies*??? I only went to roa at hq starting in 79...LOVED it ...afterwards there was wow training n the big tent started to flood...the teacher kept teaching and the water crept higher up our chair legs....finally we picked up the chairs n marched into the osc building n they set up a stage on the back of a scissorlift dump truck. One year I got a viscious case of food poisoning...was camping too far away from grounds to stagger in for food or drink...was too far from the porta potty.....lord lord I thought I was gonna die....once a day some twiggy might remember to drop by a yogurt or drink......It was pretty scarey to be that sick and not have a being on the planet really care whether you lived or died.... then there was the last roa I went to when the horrendous storm hit....all but about 5 tents were flattened...lightening cracking down around...wind roaring...I could see people running around in the storm in their underwear and jammies frantically trying to set up tents....that couldn`t withstand the sustained winds....wouldda been funny if I hadn`t been so terrified that I was trying to crawl UNDER spouse to get away from the ground shattering lightening...and roar of the wind....whew...where WAS our believing. I loved wow burgers....the tent dances...the music...eating breakfast in the big top.

Now THERES something to brag about....*least we weren`t as bad as them ole catholicks*....pat pat patcherself onna back. It`s the RITUALS and our presumptive arrogance that I was addressing silly! Start each day 30 min. in the word. 30 min in sit for the ministry witnessing x number of hours each week. tithe 15 percent first fruits. attend fellowship as many times as offered. remove all debt Any sin currently recognised by your immediate leadership... follow orders implicitly leadership recomends m&a family members be be they children or aging parents...syblings..spouses. take all classes offered. THEN and ONLY then ... will you be worthey to recieve from God... THEN and ONLY then will you have the strength and capability to defeat satan. hoooo boy n twi used to make fun of the catholics and other denominations for their rituals....

But but BUT.... The power WOULDN`T have corrupted had wierwille been a man of the spirit. ..PERIOD ....yet another attempt to excuse heinous behavior and make it seem understandable.. These behaviors will hold no apeal to one of the spirit...THAT is how you can TELL whether or not someone is *of the spirit*...Duh If you personally feel oldies, that sometimes you have a tough time *controlling yourself* or not exhibiting some of these behaviors....there for wierwilles succumbing is understandable.....that would explain why you wouldn`t want to accept galations explanation of vp`s being of the flesh.....you would prefer to think of yourself.. vp many of his hand picked leaders as simply *part time* sinners...sounds a lot nicer than *man of the flesh with no inheritance in the kingdom of God*

Thanks radar.....n thank your pug buddy for me will you? lol I will tell the kiddoe, though they are pretty much over it...the dr. said the same thing...the poison oak was inadvertantly thrown on the fire...course they all got it in their face and on their arms while they roasted their hot dogs...their mouths ...one poor kiddo had her eyes swollen shut for a day or two....(tea tree oil works miracles) We have decided that the culpret was the kid with the worst of it between his fingers and on the INSIDE of his arms...where it is surmised that he carried the offending wood and plants......Josh (our guest) also the same child that was abandoned in the woods during the snipe hunt at the weinie roast LAST year......but bless his heart, he was so miserable this week that nobody had the heart to kick his bu tt. His mother however might kill me...I don`t seem to take very good care of him when he is with me...lol

Catcup, I am so terribly sorry, the account that you spoke of still angers and sickens me....and to think, that senario was repeated so many times with other young girls....... the man had no conscience... as not only did he deny it...he destroyed her credibility... attempted to alienate her family....the despicable pos defamed her unmercifully in order to cover his own bu tt....it was not the only time either. edited...surmise it to say, our whole difference lies in the fact that A) Rascal heeds the evidence of fruit in wierwilles life Vs B) Oldies who choses to ignore fruit in wierwilles life. It is easier and more comfortable to ignore the evil....lest you have to confront your own demons and culpability.

A) To renounce wierwilles doctrine is not to be equated with renouncing of the *word* B) Wierwilles *sins* condemn his as a man of the flesh thus rendering his doctrine (not to mention character and credibility) as untrustworthey. A + B = C ie...It would be foolish NOT to renounce the (wierwilles) word because of his (wierwilles) sins (fruit)
