In a nut shell, as many have heard this before...adnausium.....and lest others claim I am waving the victim banner in a bid for attention yet again ...sigh. I was told by my lc and bc that God required this of me because I had made a commitment to go into the corpes. I was told that if I broke this commitment because of a pregnancy, that I would be breaking a vow to God. I was told that I would then be a dissapointment to God and be outside of his will and ability to protect me. I had also been taught that obediance to leadership was a requirement of one who wanted to serve God.....and so...I followed leaderships *recomendation* and aborted the child believing that God required this of a faithfull dulous....to do anything less, I understood was to turn my back on God.

herbal, you heard pawtucket....n HE says that you cannot step down.....nyah nyah. You are STUCK with the job friend;-) THATS the price you pay for being a SUCCESSFULL Benevolent Dictator....sorry!

Paul condemned christians to die in the name of service to God....I condemned my unborn child to die in the name of service to God.....some abandoned their ailing elderly parents ...in the name of service to God....Some of us threw unruly children out on the streets in the name of service to God.....no, not equal, but yet mabye similar....the burden of knowing that one has committed an evil that can never be righted...and yet have God forgive and work within you to become a productive force for good....to struggle to spend the rest of your life in atonement for what one did when ignorant of God....that is where I thought maybe we held some common ground.

I think ya make em squirm mentally ex, if what you say is true...everything isn`t in such a nice neat tidy little package anymore. Folks would rather believe you mistaken or at fault than to have to emerge from their comfy little cocoon, imo. If one is to accept your account, one is forced to reevalute a whole life time of perception. It is easier to try to make you a villain, and what happened all ok somehow.

Only by those few who don`t get it (((ex))) There are many here who do understand, and who have benefited from your candor. I often wonder if those who are the most vocal about wanting folks to forgive and shut up ....are simply uncomfortable with the stark reality of what was endured...and what it says about those wom perpetrated that abuse. Acknowledging the evil opens a whole new set of problems to be addressed.... maybe, folks get mad because they would rather forget so they won`t have to alter their comfortable little world.

Maybe Paul was like the rest of us, in the fact that he, and many of us did awfull, unconscionable things in the name of God, fully bellieving these heinous actions to be our spiritual duty, only later to found out that we were dead wrong.... In Paul`s case and ours, God was able to break through our false religious training and wrong doctrine to rescue us, help us see our error, and to help us change...... In Pauls case as in ours, perhaps God was able to forgive us the great evil we practiced...and help us embark on a new spiritual journey of growth and learning....one where we make mistakes and stumble...but now that we are able to understand a little better, able to grow and change, become more spiritual people....maybe

...that or cause I never shut the heck up...lol thanks sky.
