I shouldda left when.... I was declared posessed by a viscious tc`s wife... I shouldda left when (almost did) ... I was told that God required the abortion of my unborn child.... I shouldda left when.... the tc snarled at my 3 yr old for squirming after an hour and a half of deadly dull teaching at fellowship.... I shouldda left before I ever arrived ...sigh

Nope, at 17 my family was totally disfunctional. My Dad had left his wife and 4 young children, she was totally unable to cope....it was a very shamefull thing back then, I knew that Daddy left to live with his girlfriend and naturally concluded that because he didn`t want to be with us... there was something very very wrong and unsavory about us or he wouldn`t have wanted to be away ....I loathed myself, my brother and sisters and mom disgausted me.... I just wished that we weren`t so bad that there was something so grossly wrong about us that our Daddy couldn`t stand us:-( My Mom just kind of crawled into a hole and pulled it in after her.....we basically were on our own....the only time I ever heard anything out of my mother was when I screwed up....now mind you she never gave me any help or guidance, I had to figure things out on my own....and then hang my head in shame while she berated me for what seemed like hours for making stupid choices...telling me that I *must have **** for brains* was about the closest she ever came to saying *I love you*. Suffice it to say ....So I was definatly looking for love, guidance, something to make me feel important. What better to fill the void than a cool instant *spiritual* family and to throw myself selflessly into the *spiritual* battle and strike some blows for God!! It made me feel wanted and noble. There was a villain (satan) to focus my hate and blame all of our troubles and shortcomings on....shoot twi was tailor made for me. Good thread Belle, I thought about it when I read that same line.....

Oh, and don`t forget.... We were told that vpw at ANY time could have changed his mind and decided to live....had one single visitor in his last days asked a particular question....since they did not, he *turned his face to the wall* He died of a *broken heart*....so he didn`t REALLY succumb to death, h chose to because of his dissapointment in us.....I remember that I was stricken with remorse....sigh just one more guilt trip laid on us:-(

Just loafing, I agree, I had a pony, that had a cancerous eye removed. She was fine for almost two years and then suddenly, her symptoms reapeared. She started dropping weight and died in about 4 weeks. The dramatic decline is not unusual...too right, lcm is such a freaking moron.

Vp told everyone at some teaching (musta been roa) that his eye was burned up from the lights on the set when he did the pfal class on film. He talked about how they were on a time constaint so he couldn`t stop to rest, just put cold wet cloths on em so he could continue.... He said that the pain was so bad in later years that he had it removed. He claimed that he had *given his eye for God* (sounds a lot more dramatic than cancer no?) closely followed with demands of what *were WE were willing to give up for God*?

Seems to me that they have been the recipients of earnest prayers from tens of thousands of people for many decades. It doesn`t appear to me that the millions of hours of prayers have had much effect.....they have continued to embrace evil......and continued to hold people in bondage with scripture and God`s name. I just don`t see squandering anything else on these folk, be it prayer, money or time. They are living in darkness and thinking that they are loving it.

The *TRUE gospel of Jesus Christ* as you termed it wth, as I see it, was simply the candy that the pervert used to lure the children into his car. Yeah sure the candy looked tasty, that is why a predator utilizes it to lure a naieve child to them. The child focuses on the brightly wrapped goody and is unaware untill too late of the impending doom.

WTH, I see it in a more sinister light....vpw used the TRUTH of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to achieve his ends.... Look at the fruit if his teaching ....much pain and destruction, I don`t think that comes from the truth. VP was no better than any other wolf in history that masqueraded as a sheep in order to sneak in close enough to devour the flock.

Good points wolf....if we did absolutely nothing for anyone else for the rest of our lives .... we would still be way ahead in the game.....because at least we had not caused irreperable damage and pain to folks in God`s name....that takes a special class of ornery.

Yeah Johnny L, You didn`t fade too far away from your ideal, many of us did not...lcm had the same opportunity but was proven weak. It is understandible that he would then be vulnerable to a strong personality such as vpw.

Thanks Sunises, that puts lcm in a light that I can understand and maybe even feel a little compassion for. I understand being decieved and utilized by a mog that you trust. I understand marrying because the almighty mog said that it was *best* in spite of your feelings and misgivings....just one more decision vpw shoved down willing throats that was tragically wrong.

Naw Groucho, I think they are referring to the enraged husband posted that his wife was discovered to have hpv...(a virus I believe that can cause cervical cancer). It was his contention that she had been infected by her only other partner (lcm).

As far as when I personally look in the mirror? (I am sure that there are many gspotters as well) that rather than having to utilize the epitaph to describe what they see as *I WISH I were the man I knew to be* .... can with all honesty look ourselves straight in the eye and say that I AM the man/woman that I know to be. We do not have to make excuses.

I would think WTH, that as for what folks have to offer, it surely isn`t the pain and evil on the scale that vpw chose to *give*..no? If in looking in the mirror this day, we decide to simply apply the 2nd commandment, and refrain from hurting, stealing from, raping, or destroying our neighbor....even if we never *offered* a single other good to mankind...we would have a far better impact for people and God. He darn sure wouldn`t have so much damage control to deal with. On the other hand, If you teach scripture like vp no matter how much or how accuratly....and then procede maim and steal from people, AND teach others that it is ok to do likewise....using said scripture as a justification for your vile acts, I would think, that rather than having done any possible good for people or God that day....in reality, it gives God a great big black eye. Kindda silly, if God wants us to know that he is love through the bible, and you teach folks the and then USE said bible to control and hurt, it really hasn`t really taught about who/what God is supposed to be. I don`t think vpw did God OR his bretheren any big favors, buddy.

Was lcm just weak and association with twi corrupted him, Was he nuts to begin with, or did intimate association with vpw over a period of time drive him crazy?

So nobody is able to come up with anything decent or specific that lcm did for anyone after becoming involved in twi..... So my question would be...was he evil before his involvement ..... or was his association with twi and vpw in particular what led him down the path of darkness? Was he like vpw a sexual predator BEFORE his involvement and vpw`s doctrine give him a chance to follow his proclivities without bothering his conscience? Or was this something vp introduced and nurtured? Was he a bully and a control freak BEFORE his association with vp or was it something that was developed under vp`s tutelage and supervision?
