Oh I didn't know I was up sorry. I'll be back with one soon . Ok new Song I like to dream yes, yes, right between my sound machine On a cloud of sound I drift in the night Any place it goes is right Goes far, flies near, to the stars away from here

if he was in Faces then it has to be Rod Stewart but I have no idea of the song since I've tried to tune him out for 37 years it seems
-
Just got back from his Concert. It was great!! I cried at times which is what his songs are meant to do I guess.

my Great- grandfather supposedly was a captain in the civil war that lost his ear during it. I believe his last name was Stanford. supposedly a brother of Leleand Stanford the Robber Baron. My nephew has his sword. This is all the info I Have from my mother. I've never have done any research on that side of the family though to substantiate it.

I assume you are using a windows variant Raf. I don't for the most part. one program I am familiar with comes in a windows flavour is ffmpeg you can find it here. http://ffmpeg.arrozcru.org/ just lower the resolution and bitrate for audio and you will find considerable file reduction size.

songs remembered from just one line
bulwinkl replied to bulwinkl's topic in Movies, Music, Books, Art
My intention when I started this thread/topic was to make it easy for the reader and make it semi difficult for the poster. Just the first line is desired. and I am astounded that you know what my intention was when I started the topic. Can you read what was in my mind or heart???? As i said in numerous posts in this thread the onus is on the poster not the reader. After this I have decided not to bother with this anymore. The Topic is your's now since you know what I wanted it seems. -

well then I'll hazard a guess "Just a fool to believe" by either Foreigner or Journey either way this is supposed to be a thread for songs so well known they are known by their first line. The onus is on the poster to come up with a song that fits that parameter. sorta a cross between the Nostalgia thread and name that tune. -

Sort of. I remeber the Gary Curtis wedding in Seattle, and I beleive the Motor coach was there.
