  1. So you don't think God minded a whole tribe catching herpes? And eating pork was an abomination too not of course because of the disease Trichinosis... Just because God hates pigs... No concern was why lepers were quarantined too? How you err...
  2. I once met a very cute guy in a bar. I asked him are you aids positive and he said no. I asked are you sure and he answered, "I'm positive I don't have aids". I said you're positive? The thief cometh... Hosea 7:1 KJV When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered , and the wickedness of Samaria: for they commit falsehood; and the thief cometh in , and the troop of robbers spoileth without.
  3. Ephesians 4:15 KJV But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
  4. Err, don't teach it but practicing it is ok? Maybe... homosexuality is not a sin? Not an abomination. Promiscuity is a sin, spreading disease is an abomination. Abomination is the biblical word for "disease". Disease unfortunately kills people irregardless of your faith.. Remember adultery was considered worthy of stoning as was promiscuous homosexuality because a lover did not confide in a partner about sexual infidelity... So stoning was because a lover did not break up or confide with another lover before committing adultery. Without honesty then death caused by diseased infidelity IS an abomination.
  5. I tend to think the only real struggle today is free thought and considering everything we type here is being recorded by corporations is our thought free? Is not Microsoft not watching us for the government through, err, windows? So it is us boys alone that "know" anymore. Soon we will be shut off from our internet providers if we do not kowtow to their buy only our bread rules passed by err, "congress". The government will be paying for abortions so only the select procreate with their new communist world health care plan. So how important is 4 crucified anymore?
  6. Romans 8:20 KJV For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, Comment: To me the "creature" in this verse was the old testament God. Give that some thought.
  7. After torturing my mind with twisting train wreck logic, stretching verses to their excruciating outer limits, and rationalizing it all with mystical spiritualism, I figured why can't I just "chuck the whole thing"? I love Alanis thanks! And isn't it ironic... :)
  8. The black and white imagery of your dream is to me a sign of possibly an uncompromising personality that relies on superlatives, on ideals rather than the reality of things. To me red is a color that seems center to the spectrum and represents balance and a desire to ground the tendency to go to extremes. I vote for red drapes in the kitchen, anyone second that? :)
  9. I think "hope" is the functional word. Considering if god is not coming soon we will all grow old and senile and the truth will not really matter at that point. Only what we once were. No one knows what the future holds other than to judge by how the past was. Yes love is the only thing that matters and even that is subjective. Face it life is quite often morbid and if faith can help relieve the bitter sting of life then so be it. Maybe Job and his dilemma really is that fear is part of life like it or lump it. Yet we create God to explain and maybe alter what is and may always be. We will never really know the will of God in the face of simple chance. Just as we feel the need to survive we are also predisposed to take a gamble. So shall we blame our parents for our defects and blame spirits for genetic and biological illness? I tend to think not. It would be nice if life was a paradise. I am tired of being led by superstition.
  10. It may be difficult in our age to fabricate a deism because the printed word has eclipsed the trickery of mere word of mouth. Revelation 1:16 KJV And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
  11. I don't even believe in Jesus anymore. Even Paul the apostle and the other disciples/apostles are suspect to me. I see the entire first century church as the product of a bunch of people who realized they could not go back to Judaism and the Romans were too decadent and the Greeks seemed to have a monopoly on knowledge so they made up a story to perpetuate a subset of laws and place the fear of God upon the human mind. So they fabricated this Jesus as the sun going through the seasons to satisfy the pagans they had his fulfill the law to please the Jews and had him speak in parables to satisfy the Greeks and the martyred him to make us all feel "heavy and gloomy" and the world bought it and await his return. We have been raised to depend upon something other than ourselves for our own sufficiency. We are told we all desire eternal life when it is simply the will to survive that we attained through millions of years of evolution...
  12. Romans 8:20 KJV For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
  13. All these years of study thinking I was growing in the word all to come to a state where I don't believe anything. So I am nothing... and only as nothing do I feel that I bear the image of God.
  14. It seems the more forward I walk the more I realize I am still standing still. How do you resolve a contradiction but with a conundrum.
  15. Years of the word and I am farther from the truth than when I started. I don't believe in anything anymore other than I am alive and that is all I know. Religion is nothing but a farce and if God wants to make the truth known then why not show him/her self? Faith in God is nothing more than a delusion that distracts people from the reality that we are really alone.
  16. I thought I had something to say. I think I am the anti christ who speaks in parables... secret societies?
  17. Here are a couple of links I dug up on Google. Yes, I'm simply too lazy to research it myself... http://www.gotquestions.org/angels-sing.html http://www.gotquestions.org/angels-wings.html So it is finally settled! "maybe" they have wings and sing, maybe not. "angels we have heard on high..." :)
  18. Sorry about the typo in the title, my spell check is possessed. Correction angels not angles. :) Not sure why we can't or how to edit the titles of our posts.
  19. I heard "the way" once say in a teaching somewhere that, biblically, angels are never once attributed to having wings or singing carols. Cherubs (closely associated with angels) certainly are attributed to having wings and is seems seraphims (whatever they are) have several sets of wings. Eagles have wings, doves have wings. Why is it such a wide spread belief that angels fly upon wings and sing. Does the book of Enoch perhaps attribute wings to angels? Is it some apocryphal book of gnosticism that attributes wings to angels? Any info on the subject would be greatly appreciated. Thanks It would seem that even cherubs would run out of oxygen if they were to fly too high up into the atmosphere. :)
  20. That is the coolest rock anthem, thanks for sharing it here. I will listen to it a while here then look for a studio copy of it. THANKS AGAIN. :) Bees provoke such a strong visual imagery and imagination in music.
  21. I was once taught that the number three and the bee have some significant correlation. I am sure people here in this thread/forum can help supply some of these facts to further understand why/if divinity and the bee are somewhat tied or linked together. I will dig through my old books and see what I can come up with and if anyone knows some reasons why the bee and the number three are or are not so connected in numerology and science please add what you can to this discussion. I believe the discussion will eventually lead into Babylonian religion, how it exists and in what forms today.
  22. 1 Corinthians 15:53 KJV For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
  23. THANKS FOR SHARING! Did you make that cman? I made this one from all five of the Superman movies :) http://www.metacafe.com/watch/1558085/superman_its_not_easy/ Thanks DrWearWord aka RexRed
  24. What else would we have to liken God to? John 20:22 KJV And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the [swine flu] Holy Ghost:
  25. This current near crisis pandemic has the potential to wipe out many millions of people... What of promises, rainbows and nothing can separate us from... Would an all powerful God of love allow such travesty? Shall we this time paint pigs blood over the door casings? What will hold back the hand of death this time? Shall it not also come down to the fittest survive, and what of meekness, is it the meek who stay fit? Is it the meek who visit the gym several times a week? Those who survive will the be meek because they are genetically inclined to survive? What of those who this virus has already claimed? Infants, the elderly and people struck down in the prime... Now would be a good time for God to show the world his good nature... It seems the God of love is nowhere to be found. So the God of the Bible said he would never again condemn the world to death but does that also mean he won't lift a finger to save us either? What is the meaning of such misfortune and catastrophe? Where is the hope in such darkness? I guess we do best to keep our eye on the goodness and not the adversity of life. Death comes for us all sooner or later and I believe it is such a waste of life to sit and fret about death...
