Thanks, Belle - now we know the rest of the stow-ry. Good day! (I have a portable, countertop oven I can easily throw into the truck, so if you'd like to make sticky buns, by all means, please do! It's the size of a medium microwave oven and has two shelves. We use it for cookies and such. It's bigger than a toaster oven.)

Bless your heart! I have two kids, 16 years apart. My son is 25 and my daughter 9. I have told him more than once that it really can be a good thing to get phone calls from school and how thankful I am that his sister has shown me that. Used to be the school principal would call me, all upset, sounding like he had just witnessed THE crime of the century, telling me that bow jr had peed out on the playground right in front of anyone who happened to be looking in that direction. Or another favorite was when he called me, shouting that my 1st grade son was asked to stand up next to his desk and give a word that began with the letter "P." Bow jr stood there with both hands on his hips and said "....." I think he fainted when I said, "Well, it does begin with a "p." No wonder that man cringed each week when I came in to the school for our Cub Scout meetings. LOL I have always enjoyed my son tremendously, but I have to say that my daughter is a piece of cake most the time. (I do realize that I still have to survive the teenage girl years, but hey, it's so nice and pleasant right now...) I'm impressed your measurements were perfect and you thought that quickly to replace the glass. I might not have done as well, especially once I saw the blood on his head. Great job!

Well, happy day, Garth! I'll have one in your honor, as we're visiting my brother this weekend. Sunday of course, we're celebrating Packer Sunday, but now we have reason to party Saturday too! Thanks, Garth!

Belle - Are you purposely not telling what a "grunchy" store is or was that something that simply slipped your mind? At least one inquiring mind would like to know, if it's not too personal. Bow jr. used to pronounce "pretzels" as "kretzels" and for "hospital" he said "hostipull." As a young girl I used to think the one-way signs on the road were a gracious invitation to go in that direction, as if they were saying "Here's one way you might enjoy." (Please read the following in your best Alfred E. Newman voice, as I wrote it.) Trust me. --> See Belle, I'm your friend. I'd love to give you an opportunity to make me giggle. I'm good like that.

Oh Ala, I'm so happy for you! Cracked me up that Amos Lee's name sounded familiar, but you couldn't place him, yet you had seen him within the past year... Sounds like a sign of life to me - those mindfarts don't happen to dead people. I'm dancing the Snoopy Dance right along with ya - have to tell before I absolutely burst! I get to see Paul McCartney AGAIN next month! Just got the tickets yesterday. Will be in Columbus, OH Oct. 22nd. I saw him in Tampa a few years ago and I thought it was a once in a lifetime luxury!!! I'm feelin' lucky today!

Oak & Raf - Please check your PTs.

I was glad you registered at Target - made it easy for me to know something you'd like to receive. Otherwise, I'd just have given cash.

Hmmmm... might just be me, but I can't get into that site on Mozilla. I did get in using Internet Explorer, so all was not lost. I just placed an order through ebay and paid through Paypal. Sure was easy! I put the sizes in the box for extra instructions (along with my phone # and email addy in case...)

Thanks - I got in through your name and see that I only used Oak's 3-letter first name - he's listed as his full first name. Then, however; I ordered the gift of my choice, noting that they have it listed as "Usually ships in 1 to 2 business days." After giving all my information it said the expected delivery date is October 23. I'll just bring my gift to the wedding. It's all good.

I tried to get into your gift registry at target.com. I got the following message: No Search Results Found For *** Joyce in NE We're sorry; we could not find any Registries that matched your search. Please check the information you entered and try again. If you're not sure of the spelling, try entering just the first 2 letters of each name. Or remove the location state or event date to get more results. NOTE: New Registries may not be visible online for up to four hours after they have been created. Registries without items will not appear until items have been added. If you still can't find a Registry, it's possible that the person does not have a Registry or chose not to include their Registry online. You can e-mail them below and ask them to create a Registry. I'm flexible enough to figure something else out, but I wonder if you're using their registry.

Raf - Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get ya!

That reminds me of a stow-ry: Once upon a time I got married and went on a honeymoon trip with my new husband. We gave our house keys to our trusted friends (the ones that stood up for us in the wedding and signed the marriage license) because they were taking care of our dog and plants while we were gone for two weeks. We came home a day earlier than we had planned and found that our house had been vandalized by our friends. There was Vaseline on the doorknobs, saran wrap across the toilet rim, all light bulbs had been loosened so they didn't light, the bathtub was full of jello (hadn't quite set ye), our waterbed was short-sheeted and filled with corn flakes, as well as the heater unplugged (late November in WI), each of our approximately 500 record albums were switched around to other album covers, cassette tapes all in other cases, even our spices were destroyed by being switched into other containers. Our washer and dryer had been placed up in the living room and the living room furniture was down in the basement. The empty beer cans from the party they had while they did all this were placed in the dryer! But the worst part was the removal of the labels on the canned goods. What a pain in the hiney that was for a few months... Sure Shell - I'll be glad to send you our Campbell's labels. I used to save them for the princess' school, but they don't collect them here. Don't have any now, but will collect them as they come along.

Thanks for the update, paw. I'm not surprised it got postponed again. Personally I'm glad - I really want to be there and this week turned out to be incredibly busy for me. My prayers continue for the Peeler family and all involved on their "side."

yep, I'll bring plates and silverware - I still have a bunch left over from our 4th of July picnic - even a couple dozen plastic cups (the big blue and red ones - I think they're 16 or 20 oz'ers). I'll also bring s'mores fixins ('tween me and abi we oughta have about enough), a boom box and a bunch of cd's. I'm bringing a tuna macaroni salad that would be good with whichever meal is the sandwiches and chips... oh yeah, and some sunny d and juice boxes for the kids. this was just off the top of my head after flying home from VT, so I may not be thinking of all I have planned so I may add to this list tomorrow.

The princess and I have a room Friday and Saturday nights at the Villager. I just noticed that I hadn't posted that we're coming to the wedding. We may or may not bring along a teenage friend of ours, but Annie and I will be driving up from the Kansas City area.

Sounds great to me! I may even be able to pull off a babysitter so I can attend, with this much advance notice...

I open them in Paint. Paint has come on every computer I've ever owned. It's under Accessories. (START, ACCESSORIES, PAINT) Then I go to Images and click on Stretch and Skew. I see the number 100 highlighted next to Horizontal. I replace that 100 with 50 to shrink the picture 50%. I do the same with the Vertical 100 that is below the Horizontal one. I change both those numbers to the same number. Sometimes I use 75 for both or 60 for both. The first few times you do this I suggest you copy whatever you're trying to resize and experiment with the copy, leaving the "original" in case you don't like what you end up with...

Well, that's sure easy! The directions are clear and do-able. I uploaded several pictures with no trouble. Ron - It's way simpler than FTP-ing. Try it, you'll like it.

The princess and I will be tent camping. We'll gladly bring paper products. We've got a start with the leftovers from our 4th of July picnic... We'll also bring more stuff, but it's late right now and I just wanted to be "on record" responding to the tent camping question. xoxo
