1. I just played the vhs tape of our commissioning to go wow for my daughter to see what bow jr and I looked like back in the day. I had the tape set right before our team was called up so all we saw was about 5 minutes. I could've used a drink after viewing 5 minutes of that stuff! Oh well, it was great to show her what her brother looked like back then. I'm not enough of a drinker for this game, tho I would love to be a designated driver...
2. All is well. All 4 speakers work and the kids are on their way home. Thanks so much! I'm curious about your personal experience with blowing up a radio - was it a new one? Hopefully it was your own... Again, thanks to both of you - your help made all the difference!
3. Perfect! Thanks so much! He didn't get an installation kit. He just bought a car stereo with cd player. I was with him when he got it and asked if he needed anything else to go with it, like new wires or something, but he thought the new package had all he needed. This color chart seems to include the seemingly extra wires he found. Woo hoo! I've printed the chart and he's taken it out to the garage. (He's working on this in my garage. We thought this would be a relatively simple undertaking about 5 hours ago!) Now to find the fusebox so he can change a fuse too. First cars are such fun - I almost forgot how that was... Again, thanks so much! I had googled installing car stereo and car stereo wiring, stuff like that. You came up with a better chart than we did, by far! It's a 92 Ford Tempo.
4. I have a teenage friend that is installing a radio into their first car. I know nothing about it at all. The box the radio came in says it's for a Ford Tempo, which they have. He has been able to match up all but 3 wires. There are 3 more wires coming from the car than come from the radio. We've been all over the internet looking for a diagram for a 92 Ford Tempo radio wires, but no luck. Does anyone know off the top of their head what one does in such a situation?
5. It worked great for me - what a fun tune!

A couple made a deal that whoever died first would come back and inform the other of the afterlife. Their biggest fear was that there was no afterlife. After a long life, the husband was the first to go, and true to his word he made contact. "Mary ... Mary. " "Is that you, Fred?" "Yes, I've come back like we agreed." "What's it like?" "Well, I get up in the morning, I have sex. I have breakfast, off to the golf course, I have sex. I bathe in the sun, and then I have sex twice. I have lunch, another romp around the golf course, then sex pretty much all afternoon. After supper, golf course again. Then have sex until late at night. The next day it starts again." "Oh, Fred you surely must be in heaven." "Not exactly,? I'm a rabbit on a golf course in Arizona!"
8. Hmmmm, it feels like it's right on the tip of my tongue. It sounds so familiar, but I can't name it. I can hum farther along than the clip goes (or is this what's meant by 'snippet'? I'm looking forward to hearing what it is.
9. Aw rats! Finally, I knew the singer, but then I saw her name on my little toolbar or taskbar, whichever the one is along the bottom - great song, tho! I didn't know if I'd be able to play that mp4 stuff, but my winamp kicked in and took over. Cool. I didn't have time to post earlier when I read what you wrote about Alberta, Alberta, but it's one of my favorite Clapton tunes!
10. Sillies! June 6, 2006 means there are only 4 more shopping days until my birthday!
11. No Morgan, I don't, but I'll look around and see if I can find it. I'm having a blast listening to all this old, good comedy!
12. FINALLY, here's that song I wanted to post earlier. New Years Day Song
13. Could ya hear it verb? Could ya really hear it? Now to get how to put that spiffy HERE! stuff there instead of the pesky details of the URL. I crack myself up sometimes. We're off to the Mexican restaurant for the last time this year! Life is good!
14. Okay, lemme try this again. This one isn't a song to guess, but a comedy routine to enjoy. Bill Cosby on Tonsils. It's about 15 minutes long. http://www.mom.baygeeks.com/Tonsils.mp3 Happy New Year! Ala - you're next!
15. sudo - yes, please. I'd love you to send me that recorder program. Sounds like exactly what I've been looking for for a long time!
16. I began a subscription to Rhapsody with the intention of legally obtaining good copies of songs to post here and burn to cd's for my personal enjoyment. I have a large collection of music and most of what I wanted rhapsody for was to conveniently make copies of what I've already bought. My point is that the first link I posted is to a song I bought off rhapsody and they have some license requirement that they expect every single listener to that song to pay for it. So, I'm forced to search through my collection to find the cd to copy it from... I apologize. I learn something new every day! I'll cancel my subscription before they charge me (in two weeks). Moony - The other one is called How Much Tequila Did I Drink Last Night by Steve Goodman.
17. The princess and I will be playing backgammon, scrabble or crazy 8's while watching the show leading up to the ball dropping. We've been playing Bejeweled on our computers lately too, so I imagine we'll throw that in for a change of pace... Of course we'll be watching closely for GreaseSpot T-shirts in the crowd at Times Square. At midnite we'll toast to the New Year and it'll probably be bedtime shortly after that. Funny, I didn't notice when I quit going out on New Year's Eve, but it's been several years now... :o
18. Bow jr, is working on changing something to fix this problem. I'm laughing tho, cause this song has to do with tequila too, Ala - great minds... Turns out this server space I'm using is set up for only me. I'm sorry. I didn't know that. I thought I had explained what I was planning to do, but now after Bow jr and sudo talked this morning, I'm confident I'll be able to post my next song without any problem. Meanwhile, for the last time this year, Good morning!
19. Here's a New Year's Day song. I have more I think you'll enjoy. HERE! I'm sorry. I'll try again tomorrow after sudo gets a look at what I did. I've tried to adjust it several different ways, but I'm not seeing my mistake.
20. Sweet (means terrific) Phat (pronounced "fat" and is even better than sweet) Downlow (Keep it on the downlow means don't let anyone know about it) Just a few I'm aware of.
21. Hey there, Paw! Great song - I'd never heard that one before. I was just thinking last night that I would love to be a visitor to your home with you as DJ. I LOL'd about the pj's too, DearChatty. I listened, but have no guess to your song, tho I enjoyed it.

Well hell, Belle! My momma said a bunch of stuff. EVERYbody likes a little as*, but NOBODY likes a smartas*. Do as I say, not as I do. (as was pronounced like the word in the above quote) You get what you pay for. (She passed away before the generic movement took effect) She also said "Short woman who put detergent on top shelf may have to jump for Joy." That one really cracked her up. She once named her cat FUBAR! I guess these won't really help you, but I hope you're as amused as I am. If I come across anything useful, I'll let ya know. xoxo
23. I had to give away two very primo seats for the Neil Diamond show in Kansas City tonight. The princess came home from school very sick with the flu yesterday. Today's the first day she's missed this year for health reasons. She's missed a few days for traveling, like one after the Weenie Roast, but none for being sick til now. Fortunately, her piano instructor and his wife will be delighted to attend the show. These seats are 14 rows from the stage. I'm glad I have memories of when he played Tampa a few years back. It makes it easier to be a good sport about this. Jonny - I was dragged to a Van Halen concert back in my way daze. A co-worker bought me the ticket for a birthday gift. Van Halen was her favorite band and her hubby wouldn't take her or let her go just cause she wanted to. But when she told him it was to celebrate my birthday, he allowed it. I had heard of Van Halen, but had not experienced them. I was absolutely shocked at how much I enjoyed their 1984 show! I even bought a Van Halen t-shirt, which got stolen out of the car while we were at a bar after the show. Madison, WI - what a great place to see concerts. The biggest impression I left with that night was that Eddie sure loved what he did and David Lee sure did jump around a lot - musta had ants in his pants. B)
