It was loads of fun! We had an all-about-ME day, shopping and eating what I wanted. If I couldn't be with both my kids, I'm glad I got to spend it with one of them! Thanks for all the good wishes - it's sure fun to be the birthday girl around here! Oh, and thanks Moony! I wonder what it took to get paw to hide in that cake and come out dancin!!! The hidden talent around this cafe... makes ya go hmmmmmmm...

Any dates set? How does this work - when they're ready to announce the decision - how much notice do they typically give?

Just to warn you Floridians - I think we're coming to St. Pete for July 4th. I feel it's only fair to warn you, as we were there for Bonnie, Charlie and was it Dennis two years ago? Last year we were stuck a few extra days during one whose name escapes me right now. Seriously, I'm absolutely praying for no named hurricanes hitting land at all this year. I lived in FL for 10 years and it wasn't til we were moving away that it got so scary so often! I believe it can be calm for several years...

I do believe God talks to us. I'm just not always sure it's Him til later when I see the results IF I listen to what I think is Him talking to me. As far as others go, my question is why would God wake up someone who is sound asleep to inspire them to pray for someone when there surely must be SOMEONE awake who is capable. Right now I'm thinking of a family I know where the mom brags that God wakes her or her daughter sometimes to pray for people in certain situations, like a car wreck or a house fire or once her daughter was 8 years old and she said she woke up from a very scary dream where someone was being chased and shot. Her mom had her sit and pray for the person in the dream and called it intercessory prayer. She told me they are both intercessory warriors and that's how God uses them. I'm not one to give people any guff about their beliefs after the silly things I've found myself believing over the years, but some of this makes me stop and go Hmmmm. I see God as a loving father. I don't know any parent that would awaken their sleeping precious kids with such activities, but I learn something new most every day...

I love my job too. I work part time as a Medical Office Reviewer for a major insurance company. They pay well and I don't work too much. I inspect doctors' offices to see that meet the criteria for credentialing with our company. I speak mostly with office managers and we're all on the same side, so it's pleasant work. I talk with someone from work only occasionally. They're in North Carolina and Illinois. Mostly we email work details back and forth. I also fax in my reports. There's not any real personal stuff - we don't have enough contact for that. But I do sometimes visit with friends while I'm driving from one place to another. It's a great way to get to know the area. Last week I had a couple sites that were 2-1/2 hours from my home. I love getting paid well to cruise in my own car, listening to my favorite music! I also set my own hours. I pretty much work 3 days a week now and it's enough for what we need.

TF - Hope it's been a happy one!

Woo hoo! It's my lucky day! I've got a houseful of stubborn wallpaper - I'm thinking some of it could be almost 40 years on the wall...

Wow! Very cool! You enjoy yourself - your world will be there waiting for you when you get back!

Well, you just get some tires and paint and it's cool as hell! Great idea, cowgirl! My princess would love to do a project like that. I did the Pinewood Derby gig with bow jr, so might as well. Besides, she loves go karting! She had a blast at rascal's littlel piece of heaven, her first go kart experience. You've inspired me - thanks!

How about a Crown Royal and 7 up? Job done well!

I've reconnected with four people I knew once upon a time through GSC - very cool! The new friends I've made between waydale and GSC have been as big a treat as the realization that I really wasn't a lesbian and didn't know it. (Ha ha, I was m & a'd for supposedly being a lesbian and my son a homosexual... ) The info on twi is secondary to me to the awesome kindnesses I've seen here over the years. The weenie roasts have given me a reason to say weenie again! It's great to be a weenie! Hey Roy, have you considered going to the GSC Weenie Roast this summer or fall (date to be announced yet)? If you enjoy camping you'd fit right in! If you don't enjoy camping you'd fit right in!

Silly Belle - you've forgotten so much since you left the walls of Zion! It's six months worth of cleaning limb homes with materials you pay for to show your true commitment(ability - LOL). -
Probably was better to do it the 6th of this month than it would have been to do it next month. Then your wedding anniversary would be, well, you know... You are such a lovely couple! I'm glad you found each other!

I only work part time so I can spend as much time as possible with my daughter. I can't believe she's about 3 months away from her 10th birthday already! I have this on my bulletin board in my office: "The definition of success--To laugh much; to win respect of intelligent persons and the affections of children; to earn the approbation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give one's self; to leave the world a little better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition.; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm, and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived--this is to have succeeded." -- Ralph Waldo Emerson

I discovered that howard allen was a dirty old man back around 18 or 20 years ago. I had brought my then 6 year old nephew along with bow jr and me. Howard offered the boys a ride on his cushman, they went and had a blast. After he dropped them off back where I was waiting, he went directly up to a young lady around 20, I'd guesstimate, and greeted her right there where I don't even know how many people could see, by massaging her tonsils with his nasty tongue. Silly me, I felt sad for "Dr. W" for having to deal with that pig of a person! It never dawned on me that birds of a feather flock together. Ever since then, whenever I've seen red boots, I'm reminded of this disgusting person. -
This is great! I have a 2.5 car garage and 1.0 Ford Taurus. Like David said, it's a storage locker - a fabulous storage locker. It's big enough that I don't need a shed in my back yard. My freezer and all my lawn equipment, Annie's 4 wheeler, bikes and stuff. It's a fun place. There's a wonderful workbench and cabinets for tools, compliments of the guy who owned it before me. They even left an old fashioned dial phone that's attached to the wall. Annie was freaked when I showed her how we used to dial phones, back in the old days... How very cool that you're able to put in a garden and enjoy it this year! Congratulations!

Well, how cool is that, suda! We're vacationing the same time you are! Have a great trip ladies! Am looking forward to hearing about it after we're all back home again, home again, jiggedy jig!
