Our front porch tonight. We also have a plastic jack-o-lantern with a Christmas light in it in a front window. We give away little 3 Musketeers, Snickers bars and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, so we're not totally lame on Halloween.

I'd buy some hard rolls at the deli (or a loaf of french or italian bread) and get some sliced meat and cheese there too. Bring along whatever condiments you like in small plastic bottles. Bring some fruit and a couple trash bags. Potato chips and cold macaroni salads always go good with sandwiches. Pickles, sliced tomatoes, sliced onions, sliced peppers all travel well in baggies. You can preslice them at home so it's simply a matter of building the sandwiches before eating. You can make punch and spike it anyway you choose - fill up a thermos or a jug. Paper plates, paper napkins - you're good to go with an easy cleanup. Maybe for a snack later after the meal's done, some nuts and m & m's, raisins, pretzels-type snack in baggies. Be sure to bring along plenty of bottled water - never know when you'll need some water at an event like that and you sure don't want to pay $4 or $5 a bottle! I can't wait to hear what you end up bringing!

This is great news - a new home for your new start as a married couple. I wish you many, many loving years together. Your travels are in my prayers. I'm looking forward to hearing you've arrived safely...

I was raised in Packer country too - and I've grown to know there are only two kinds of people - natural born Packer Backers and them that wish they were! LOL We dress for Packer games too when we get together with family on Packer Sundays, which are every Sunday they have a game. That reminds me - I'll have to see if the princess needs a new jersey. This year I probably will buy some cheesehead hats - they're $35 or $40, but we're worth it! Football? I don't know anything about it, but being from WI - it's fun without even knowing how the game really goes.... GO PACK!!!

Hey! That's exactly what happened to bow jr and me! This stuff is great! ROFL

Now's the time for all good culties to add their contributions to the 65th anniversary edition of the Sing Along the way. Entries must be submitted by Friday noon so the BOD has time to get drunk and make fun of them - or, I mean pray over them and get clear and concerned while they ask God's will for which ones to select, sorta like they claimed to pick our wow locations... Here's a rough draft of a start for a song, so you get the general idea. Feel free to improve on this. Who cares if we have to slur some of the words to make them fit - we've got drambuie-a-plenty at the way if you need some help either slurring your words or your thoughts, whichever it may take. You all know the routine, change a word, add a word, leave out a word - just make it rhyme! There's No Two Ways About It There's no (clap) two ways about it when you're slave labor at the way Using two squares of toilet paper sharpens you spiritually every day. Squeeze 3 gallons of coffee from 3 tablespoons of grounds You'll be the most beloved waybot ever to be found. There's no (clap) two ways about it when you're tapped into the root Working at McDonalds will surely bring in loads of loot. Don't insist on knowing Jesus and force them to give you the boot. Just suck up to the mwog-fo-dat – pretend you think they're cute. There's no (clap) two ways about it when you've given your all to the cult Retiring penniless without a home will be your proud end result. God won't spit in your direction if you don't do what they say Well, He'd never spit on you anyhow – He wants you to enjoy your day! There's no (clap) two ways about what they call worship in the way Smile while you vacuum in perfect way lines and then pull out the rake Spotless apartments, robots for children, we don't care that it's all fake! There's no (clap) two ways about it - life at HQ is a piece of cake. You must decide - or stay outside - the walls of Zion only go one way Stand up and say, each and every day - gonna give all my money to the ones who'll take it from me - Hallelujah! There's no (clap) two ways about it when you let the BOD take vacations for you No need to see the world yourself - or get a cool tattoo stay back and run a stolen class - there's heavenly rewards for the crew There's no (clap) end to the torture that is waiting just for you. There's no (clap) two ways about it when you live on mac and cheese Give 50 percent of your pretax earnings – if you love God you'll do that with ease. Be spiritually mature like Donna and Rosie and live in the Corps chalet -oh, doesn't it all just sound so cozy – they're the only two left in the way! The - only - two - left - in - the - way . . . (Will the last one out please remember to turn out the lights.)

Thanks, dooj! I really enjoyed that song and wanted to share it here. I can't understand why, although I do all the things the instructions say to do, I can't post songs. I'm sure glad you can! I tried to listen to that Faith Hill song you posted, but it's unavailable now. I'll go to youtube.com and see if I can find it there later. Much to do today while it's still daylight. Again, thanks!

My former mother-in-law had a few that I find myself using at times. When someone else might say "helter skelther" she would say "Emmer go hett!" Instead of "Oh, for crying out loud!" she'd say "Oh, for cry eye!" My mom would say "Jesus, MARY and Joseph!" with the emphasis on Mary. Why, I dunno. Or "Judas Priest!" I've always wondered what the H in "Jesus H. Christ" stands for. I love that "Shut the Front Door" - I may have to try that one out...

Mmm, mmmm, that chicken buffalo burritos recipe sounds good! I'll have to try that soon. We're having this tonight at our house. EASY ITALIAN CROCKPOT CHICKEN AND VEGGIES: 1-1/2 lbs. boneless, skinless chicken breasts 1/2 cup zesty Italian salad dressing 1/8 tsp. pepper 4 cloves garlic, minced 4 potatoes, cubed 1 cup baby carrots (optional) 1/3 cup diced onion (optional) PREPARATION: Combine all ingredients in a 3-4 quart crockpot. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours until chicken is thoroughly cooked and potatoes are tender. Serves 4-6 (I changed the name so it's easy for me to find again - I have a lot of recipes on my puter.) http://busycooks.about.com/od/chickenrecip...alchixpotat.htm

My heart goes out to you and Mr. Garden, and of course, Maxx. I'm sure you'll know when it's time and I'm glad that today doesn't feel like it. I've had to take 2 dogs for their last car rides myself and as tough as it is to physically do, there's a certain peacefulness to knowing it's the most loving thing for them to let them go when it's time. My prayers are with you.

Here's one from www.cooks.com that looks pretty simple to me. BUTTERNUT SQUASH SOUP 6 to 8 servings. 1 med. butternut squash (approximately 1 lb.) 3 tart green apples, peeled & coarsely chopped 1 med. onion, peeled & chopped 1/4 tsp. rosemary OR marjoram 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 3 (10 1/2 oz.) cans chicken broth 2 soup cans water 1/4 c. heavy cream (OR half & half) Chopped fresh parsley (garnish) Peel squash and seed. Cut into chunks. Combine squash with apples, onions, rosemary, salt and pepper, broth and water in large heavy saucepan. Bring to boil and simmer uncovered for 45 minutes. Puree soup in blender or food processor. Return mixture to saucepan and bring just to boiling point, then reduce heat. Before serving add cream. Serve hot with chopped fresh parsley sprinkled on top. Can be made 2 days in advance and reheated.

It's been 13 years since twi threw me out and turned me over to satan. That devastating blow crippled me in a few ways for a long time. Today, I believe I've gained back the last of what I lost in that act. This evening I attended and took part in my first actual bible study since that day. Oh, I've attended church a few dozen times since then, mostly in the last few years. I've just never found a church I felt comfortable with. Til now. I attended a 3 session class of Dale Sides' ministry, bought a bunch of his books and tapes, but never really worked them or did more than read some of the books. I listened to one of CFF's teachings in my car during part of a 6-hour drive. I've bought about 20 different versions of the bible since then, all in hopes of finding my place as a Christian that wants to study. So, after attending church today at my local Disciples of Christ church and hearing they have a bible study that meets at 6:30 pm Sundays, not 7:30 as I had previously been told, as the mom of an 11-year-old, I decided I was going to go tonight. And I went. They didn't mind that I had my daughter there with me. We were home by 8:15. They were studying, of all things - Revelations! LOL It was an hour-and-a-half. It was great. There was discussion and there was the instructor reading and there was more discussion. While he read, people were free to say what they wanted to. It was awesome. I'm going back in two weeks when they meet again. In the meanwhile, I plan to read the material they handed out, as they ask everyone to do. Who knows, I may even attend the Sunday School class next week before the service! I really, really enjoyed it.

LCM info I thought everyone might be interested in

Considering his Baptist upbringing and intense involvement in that training program, I find it total crap that he doesn't feel he did anything wrong. Can he really be fooling himself to that degree? Also, didn't someone post here that vpw had to work with him to loosen him up sexually so he could get to where he could slut around with a view toward making him a more effective mog? I wonder if anyone here ever dated him before he married - before he had his sights on the presidency. I would imagine he was a relatively decent, normal sort of Christian fella at some point, what with his background of being a Baptist youth leader.. I remember Advanced Class 92 at hq - he spat out the words "Divorce is SIN!!!" I was contemplating divorce and I felt like he was staring right at me as he shouted those words. Today I wonder how he could say these things from that stage and not crumble on the spot knowing all the sin he was up to. While I'm thinking of it, I also remember (possibly at that same event) him boasting that he was so spiritually sharp ALL THE TIME that he could allow his kids to have those McDonald's happy meal toys and all the gifts people lavished on him - could bring them right into his home as he was steadily spiritually cleaning out stuff - it was in the context of how devil spirits traveled on our stuff and everything gives off something. He considered himself so superior to us all. It's nauseating to try and recall that stuff I sat there and took off that arrogant so-and-so. Maybe we should play the everpopular bored game, "Name Craig's Devil Spirits" see how many we can come up with, using his own teachings on the subject. Spriits of Lust, Slumber, Strife, Oppression, Depression, Obsession, Murder, Sordid, Whoredom, etc. Oh well - that's all I have time for this morning. I bet it really does suck to be him.
