Dooj - The other day I halved your pulled pork recipe - oh my GOD, that was good! I'd never made it before and was stunned with how easy it was and working at home, I got to enjoy the wonderful aroma all day too... Groucho - I'll try your venison roast recipe real soon - looks good too!

You're right! It was Napolean The 14th, but that's not necessary here to win, just the title. You're up!

Well, you left me anyhow and then the days got worse and worse and now you see I've gone completely out of my mind! (Second line)

Remember when you ran away and I got on my knees and begged you not to leave because I'd go bezerk?

Goodness, gracious! It's Great Balls of Fire by Jerry Lee Lewis!

Should women be silent in the church?
bowtwi replied to wrdsandwrks's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
The First Christian Church Disciples of Christ encourage women to rise up to whatever position they feel a calling. Our pastor speaks often on the subject and welcomes women to participate at all levels. You might check it out to see if there are any near you. They welcome everyone and really have no doctrine beyond the 2 great commandments Jesus talked about: love the Lord thy God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and love your neighbor as yourself. Works for me! -
You all get better lookin' each year! Love the pics - I, too, can't wait to see more!

I wrote to Pa*l M*squeda and he didn't even remember me or how he destroyed us. I had heard that he made it a point to apologize to those he had hurt, but he didn't even pretend to care when he wrote me back. It was insulting.

My ex-husband bought a back copy of Playboy magazine that had a game called "Feds n Heads" with the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers and he laminated all the pieces and the "board" - we played it for years. The idea was to score drugs and get your pieces around the board with various hippie-type bummers and bad trips. It was a hoot to play! My ex always insisted on being "the fat banker". Tons of fun on those long WI winter nights. I hadn't thought of that game in years - thanks for the memory!

FIVE BEST THINGS TO SAY IF YOU GET CAUGHT SLEEPING AT YOUR DESK: NUMBER 5: They told me at the Blood Bank this might happen. NUMBER 4: This is just a 15 minute power nap they raved about in the time-management course you sent me to. NUMBER 3: Whew! Guess I left the top off the White-out. You probably got here just in time! NUMBER 2: Did you ever notice sound coming out of these keyboards when you put your ear down real close? Number 1 And MY all time Favorite: best thing to say if you get caught sleeping at your desk: (Raising your head slowly) '... in Jesus' name, Amen!

Now I'm so confused! What can I do with this image in my head?

I just came across this picture of you from the Weenie Roast a few years back. Don't remember seeing this one before, so I figured I had best post it so you can have it. And here's one from our last visit to your home. Happy Birthday, Darlin' - 29 looks so good on you!!!

Get a load of these high school kids. At the conclusion listen to the high notes on the trumpet . . . played by a high school kid? One of the fathers recorded it, added some graphic enhancements to the recording, and posted it on the web. The song, of course, is the ' Battle Hymn Of The Republic.' Be prepared . . . it will send a few shivers up your spine. Click below! http://www.greatdanepromilitary.com/Battle%20Hymn/index.htm

Thanks, mstar! Between you and waysider maybe I'll get it yet!Cool tune - fun video to watch. Reminded me of this one by John Hartford's son, Jamie. It's pretty rough too, but worth it to me. I love this guy's music. Somebody's Gonna Pay I tried again, and double-checked that I had it all copied and pasted, which I did, but then it didn't all show up when I checked a preview and I tried it twice. No worries - this should work fine.

LOVE the Hooters tune, Dooj!George, I loved the Steely Dan, but look what you went and put in my head. Does anyone know why I can't post a youtube song even though I'm following the instructions to the letter - and now I have 2 line spaces between my paragraphs, but it shows up all as one paragraph?

Wow, Waysider! I'd seen Elvin Bishop at Mole Lake, WI in the early 80s - what a great tune to take a break from work with! Better 'n coffee!
