I remember being told that homosexuals called heterosexuals "breeders" because that was all we were good for - the propigation of the human race. Right...

It reminds me of Jim Jones and the People's Temple and their homes they set up for the elderly, who in turn willed their money to the church... Might want to think on that for a minute, and then get the heck out of that church, or confront them with the similarity.

And.... if as TWI teaches, Lucifer only took one-third of the angels with him when he fell, then why is so much emphasis placed on the "devil spirit realm"? And why is it that it is taboo to speak about angels (who are godly)? Why is it that guardian angels and angels that are talked about are considered to be devil spirits?? Hmmm..... And why is it that VP thought the word "demon" was too "cute" to describe "devil spirits"?? The whole thing is wacky.

I heard from a coworker today that she is giving her oldest daughter who has behavioral problems to a Christian home to be raised for a year - she will get counselling and help to overcome a lot of difficulties in her life from her mom's two failed marriages and being rejected by her father. It broke my heart. She won't be able to even have a phone conversation with her mom for 30 days. As a parent, this would kill me. Maybe it's because I was separated from my family for so long (even though I was an adult, it was horrible)... I can't imagine being separated from my child like that! I suppose a lot of my concern in this category is caused by my experience in TWI. Maybe I will become too clingy to my kids in response. I hope not.

One of my siblings and I were talking about this very thing last night. I "marked and avoided" my family for five years after they were kicked out of the WC because I believed the lies Mosquito told me (he was on the phone with my LC the MOMENT he had them pack up their stuff and leave, and my LC was on the phone with me IMMEDIATELY after - they missed my parent's call to me by SECONDS... How is that for trying to break up a family??) They never specifially told me to M&A my family, but it was encouraged, and I remember having meetings with my LC where he told me that it would be "best" to limit my contact with them because it was effecting me spiritually. Prior to this in preparation for inresidentured training as WC, my parents kicked my 16 year old brother out for being "rebellious"... kicked out as in threw him out on the street with NOTHING but the clothes on his back. He lived under a bridge for a while before he took up dealiing drugs to make enough money to live - because no one would hire a 16 year old at a legitimate job without an address or parents' permission. He is still recovering from that. Well, it has been seven years since I reconciled with my family, and three years since I left TWI. My family is still effected by the whole situation - they keep major life events secret until they absolutely have to tell someone else (major life event like marriage, divorce, "I'm going overseas for the next six months and you can't contact me", major across country moves, etc.) The entire family is disconnected. We do love each other, and I have one brother I am very close with now, and for that I am thankful. But when you compare that to my husband's family (and according to TWI, we should NEVER compare!) my family is a tattered mess. See, my husband's family was never in TWI.... there is nothing more important to them than family - and that includes in-laws like me! Our child plays with her second and third cousins on a monthly if not weekly basis. FAMILY.... EARTHLY FAMILY is more important than any religious group. And if any religious group tries to break up families, they have nothing to do with God. And if any religious group tries to put down the importance of the family to GOD, then God is not in them, GOD loves us - he is our Father (in Christian religions) and our Mother (in other religions)... God is the Ultimate Parent, the Designer of families. To try and pull those bonds apart that God built into our DNA is evil.

My guess?? Rosie is in power until she dies... She *might* set someone else in power, or have a document that says who will take over (my guess would be R?pp) if she dies. She will want to wait until the last possible moment to ensure her comfort and poisition are kept intact - because if someone else steps in she would be second best. After her death? Massive power grab from Moneyhands, Rupp, and maybe others. Will probably have several split offs. All of this has happened before, and it will all happen again. Yup... Will be just like LCM an G33r, just with different names. My hope? That it all takes such a beating that there are no people left to hear their teachings. But who will get the money? My bets on T!mmy.

I had a a guy who took the class because he thought I would date him if hr took it. I told him beforehand that I was not interested, in fact, I only invited him to fellowship to try and discourage him because all the people at my fellowship were sorta weird and I had a really hard-a** fellowship coordinator. Of course, the hard-a** fellowship coordinator was all over the poor idiot when he came to fellowship and got him signed up for the class in a heartbeat. Then I was spiritually obligated to follow up with the guy by calling him every day and carting him to and from class - sorta fed into his delusion that I would date him... poor guy. He eventually got the hint. I hated every second of it.... and I ended up getting USED to get the dude in the class.

You know that woman I was talking about that VP told it was OK for her to be on welfare? Well, she's the same elderly lady who was dumped from her Staff position when she got old and sick... She'll probably be back on welfare soon.

Funny, I know of one woman who was told BY VP that it was God's will that she be on welfare while she finished training for a ministry job... Maybe he got revelation or something??

Thanks, shorty! It just amazes me how clear it all is in hindsight... now, when I was in the middle of it, I was the biggest TWI promoter Rosalie could want! And how embarassing that is, looking back... I wonder if they miss me?? Hopefully I am doing some damage nowadays to make up for the people I "won to the Word!" Most of those are out now, but a couple are still in, and that makes me sad. I pray that every post I make here helps steer some other God-seeking, good hearted person away from TWI and takes a little more money out of Rosie's pockets.

SO TRUE!! I have learned to trust my gut when it comes to people. I am usually right on when it comes to that... and when I don't listen, I get in trouble... I really like to believe that all people are good, but when I get a bad feeling, I don't have to be around that person. I can make that decision myself and not just make excuses as to why I am the bad person for thinking that way!

Why should Rosalie and TWI encourage "speaking up?" hmmmmmm? I have a couple of reasons I can think of... (and please pardon my conspiracy thinking on the subject - my brain has been wired this way after almost two decades of living in the environment of a controlling CULT...) How could encouraging "speaking up" and "questioning" in The Way International further the purposes of Rosalie and TWI? 1. By encouraging "speaking up" and "questioning" The Way International and Rosalie engender trust amoung new people and the rank and file believer. Have a question, new person? Well, ask away! We'll answer all your questions... see, you can trust us! Answer the easy questions, gain a little more trust... soon people don't even bother questioning because they believe the leadership and the ministry they fellowship with. They have become THE authority on the Bible and God. And since they are THE authority on the Bible and God, people don't feel the need to have questions anymore... the trust has been built. This keeps the money flowing in - through classes and tithes and abundant sharing. BUT, the all important APPEARANCE that speaking up and questioning are ENCOURAGED is still intact, even though the questions don't even come into people's minds much anymore. Too long on this track of thinking, and TWI takes the place of the Bible and God... it's all based on TRUST. 2. By encouraging "speaking up" and "questioning" The Way International and Rosalie easily identify and remove those that would cause others to question. Sounds like your friend is in this category, OldSkool. Your friend had enough independent thought to begin to question the methods of TWI and Rosalie... And since he still didn't buy the lies he was marked out as a "troublemaker" who didn't trust TWI. (Remember, TWI by this point has replaced God by "representing" Him through being THE authority on God/The Bible.) Your friend couldn't be trusted. I mean, why in the world would you WANT to not trust GOD, who set up the "powers that be" within the body? Well, if you can't trust God, then most believers don't think they can trust YOU... and so the questioner who speaks up becomes shunned. This is pretty handy for Rosalie and her lap-dogs... because now no one will be contaminated by the independent thought of the questioner who spoke up. All in all, it's a pretty neat trick they have going for them. Not sure if they planned it that way, but it is sure how it works. I know, because I have been the one who trusted (#1) so much that I shunned my own family - thought they were evil and that they would contaminate my walk with God. How far from the truth that was! Then later I began questioning and speaking up myself... and I found out about #2. *edited for grammar.

Yeah, that was LAME... and they would always want to do it at HO-HO parties where we were supposed to bring new people. Talk about a way to alienate your undershepherdee!

Yeah, that's bull $h!+... as if a grown woman needs a roommate - and (if it was anytime recently) it's not like they don't have the extra room!!!

We had an elderly emeritus corps lady who lived in our area for while - she had worked for her entire working life for TWI... she started having health problems and they gave her the boot (under the guise of "it's for your health!")... with nothing, no retirement, no pension, NOTHING except a free moving van and a couple of Staff guys to help her pack her stuff. I always had a problem with that. She had no one - no kids or family to fall back on, and she had given her life for this ministry that didn't even bother to take care of her when she got old and sick. Last I knew she was still working... She will never be able to retire. Is that the abundant life?
