There is no such thing as Christian music. There are christian lyrics, so taste being so subjective, I would surmise answers to your question would be based on how the lyrics jived with one's theology.

The gay community is still the top sufferer of AIDs as it does a poor job convincing younger members of the need for safe and monogamous sex. STDs run rampant in their circles because of the arrogance of youth. But Phelps, he is so not-Christian, his fruit gives him away.

Come clean Roy is this idea just another shell game? Because if it is then the yolk's on us. Maybe it is not all it is cracked up to be, and maybe it is a scrambled mess. Just don't go easy over it and may you land on the sunny side up! :P--> -

Peter Jennings was a good newsman and professionally I respected him. He was flawless during the 9/11 coverage as he was during most tragedies. Philosophically, I know I disagreed with him. but he stands as testimony that a piece paper should not block someone from getting to the top.

It's been that way for years and the offshoots promulgate the heresy to this day. Research all you want, but don't dare disagree with the tenets of the faith.

True stories (a twi oxymoron) Billy Graham stole vpw's holy spirit book cover design. Billy Graham told Merv Griffin that a man on a farm in Ohio was the closest man to God he knew of. Billy Graham, Oral Roberts and VPW were working together, but they sold out to the Trinity. The Smurfs were debbil spirits. Millions of kids were possessed by watch E.T. Dr. had a vast collection of porn films. -
I have switched versions as well because of waybrain.

The sharpest division in Christianity today is over the nature of Christ. Is he really the only way to Heaven? Do the scriptures really condemn certain lifestyles, and if they do, should we continue to listen to them in light of advances in science?

Could it be that we are so wrapped up in money because we are greedy ourselves, or we just see giving as payment for services rendered?

6 ministries of Jesus + the one of Christ
def59 replied to year2027's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
I'll take the bait. Roy, What proof do you offer? What makes you think Jesus became a man at 12? Bar-mitzvah didn't come about until hundreds of years after Jesus. As for your time breakdowns, scripture says he didn't start preaching, teaching, healing until AFTER he was baptized. Why is this so hard for you to grasp? -

Ah If only I did become a goody two-shoes Christian. I was a rebellious son of the most High and he has had to chastise me plenty.

After I left in 1989, (can I remember back that far?) I was a pure pagan. I chucked all my bible stuff and lived for me. (Which was the same as TWI only with vpw books.) I did meet a girl however who I fell in love with and decided then that I would not hold on to my beliefs if it meant losing her. She laid down the law that if we were going to get married, we would have to find a church. My folks were driving 60 miles up to my town to go my mom's old church, so one Sunday I tagged along. It was a great time. Most of the church knew my mom, so that made me automatic family! The pastor was great, he knew alot about TWI and he patiently and lovingly helped me see the error that was TWI. My girlfriend started coming to this church after she talked with me. (It was not her tradition, but she was glad I could find something.) We became engaged and the next fall, that pastor performed our ceremony. We stayed there through college and then we stayed with the denomination (Free Methodist, an off-shoot :D--> of the Methodist Church) from 1990-97. We joined a megachurch before we moved to our current town and now we are part of the United Brethren Church (first denomination to begin in America.) I have had great experiences in church and see a love for God and His people I never saw in TWI. I recall my early years in TWI fondly if only because of the friendships I made. I rid myself of the teachings and doctrines years ago.

He led American troops to one of the greatest military victories during the counteroffensive to the Tet assualt, but got no credit in the U.S. media.

I remember meeting some great folks at 3 a.m. The man of 1,000 screen names became my closest ROA buddy one of those night. I learned of the Mountain Dew Party, frisbee football and I met a German girl who was going corps. Here name was Gabriela. I also met a Dorothy P. from Jersey at 3 a.m. Good times, too bad there was all that crap teaching to ruin it.

Rev. 22:18-19 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book. Roy, There's a principle here that what we have in the Bible is enough. We do not need outside revelation or extra books or visions from a man of God. So when you say you got a revelation from Jesus Christ that contradicts the scripture, I am forced to go with the book and not you. You seem to be a nice guy, but you appear to be so desperate to find "hidden or secret" knowledge that the Bible's no longer good enough for you. Come back to your first love and see where He can take you.

Sorry I meant to say some people.

But the bible is clear on when Jesus' ministry began.

My quote came from revelation. You are talking like our friend Mike. Revelation cannot contradict the Bible.
