You have stated my sentiments quite well on our PC nose-diving and ball-less leaders making decisions for us. Heck maybe it is time to have a woman in the Whitehouse. I have said it many a time if you really want to take care of this crap just put a group of us together that are on the edge in our emotions and you will never have another problem again!

I've been thinking about this today but was too busy to give it my full attention and one thing that concerns me is that I might have offended some of the posters on this forum simply because of their heritage. I want to clarify myself by saying I do not hold anything against hard working contributing members of the United States and that is not my gripe or my concern. It is with those gaining access to our governmental aids and those private benefactors with unhealthy reasons to give to one group and not all. So if I have offended by mistake or misunderstanding I hope you will accept my apology. Having said that.... I believe that our party minded choices help keep us in some of this trouble we are most definitely in and how can that be repaired? Personally I see no answer in sight with the gap widening as the world around us deteriorates in making just decisions for their countries. I wonder will it take those people that insist on giving America away seeing lack in their personal lives to get their attention. I'm discouraged about this right now. Not depressed, just discouraged. And Zshot, it's always a joy to see you.

You described my concerns for getting involved with any group. Their passions might lead me away and no matter how zealous they could be for a cause they also bring their histories and prejudices to the table even if they try not to. It's human nature. Just like I get so hot over this and part of it is the arrogance being directed at me every time I walk across the distribution center which I do daily. I know these women speaking rudely of me in their native tongue fires me up and there is no way that isn't factored into things I think and say. I know that the world will be somewhat the same by the time I leave it but what of the children, what will be left of this country for them? Even if I were willing to close my eyes to some of it just to get by in life. But then I've been rightfully accused of wanting to fix things that I have no control over. It's just in this case as a citizen I feel there must be something I can do. And that brings me back to the first paragraph again. And aww shucks...I was really looking forward to the making up part. Bong! That's what I missed. The quotes of the statement then the other person reply below.

Surely there is a means to allow the people that have and will continue to be crapped on because they are white and make too much money for aid yet not enough to pay the rent and buy food both do more than get by while their veiled headed neighbors who can't speak freaking English have the works provided to them. What did I do wrong? Is it that I should have put my responses in a different color or note it was me not you? If so yup then I can see there could be confusion but we use to do it that way and no one ever said anything. Hmmm...how would you do it then...I think I'm having a brain fart? And like I said okay fine if the private scholarships funders want to give to people outside of US born citizens then fine and dandy. When there is no means for US born citizens to educate themselves in the manner that their foreign ONLY speaking neighbor can we will all go shack up with those private big daddies.

I'm afraid I won't be the one to say you are wrong! It pointed out the insanity very eloquently IMHO! I think I might have to frame this post. BTW I was part of a group of people that helped the needy this past holiday. This group of people have been hit hard by things spoken of on this board and have had to rely on aid to help get them back on their feet. The adults have jobs and the children have chores and they are a good group of people that twi would have called not worth our attention. Our gift to them this year was new underclothes, yup socks and underwear. You would not believe their precious hearts over these simple gifts. Beautiful Krys! If all of us had such wishful thinking and real actions like yourself! From to in 30 seconds on that one.

And people wonder why prejudice exists. Could it be because equality does not exist? The goods sold to us that it was to make everyone equal backfired. And while I'm one it why do we have to make equality for others? Were is their responsiblity in this? I'm not a evil person but these type things that you brought from first hand accounts can easily make people take the laws into their own hands and turn and it would be the fault of the people making policy, not even the people being allowed to have advantages over the rest of us. Although their attitudes about it, okay okay I know I've beat that one to death by now.

I was told I needed to include an option in my voice mail that accommodated other speaking languages and I refused. I said fire me if you want but if you cannot speak English while calling an American company for assistance with something then you need to get an interrupter and have them call me but I will not allow my voice mail to have an option that if you speak English press 1 and if you speak yada yada press 2. I wasn't fired. And there are no options but English! Okay I had to get that off my chest. Now I will read some more and come back.

Oh my but what great stuff that has been added but I'm in need of kicking back for awhile so it will be a bit before I read it again and add to it. I just love that there is such quality posts on this thread. And I reckon I needed to say it again. See y'all later.

I keep saying one day I am going to spend the big buck and get the dark haired one but have not done so yet. Thanks for the memories. And I swear even with what I will hopefully sale at our moving sale I still have too much stuff. I love stuff though. :unsure:

I am going to get away from here for a bit while I resume packing but will take a break and read links provided. And nothing I say or feel is to hurt less fortunate even if it may sound that way at times. I just think giving away what we do not have is insane.

One reason is the industry hubby is in has bottomed out here and he can now make better money in Florida than he can here which was the opposite when we left that state (he is flooring contractor). Another is both our mothers need us closer now as we cannot help them from here like we desire to. Those are the main reasons but there were other things factored into my desire to leave yet some of those no longer exists for me but regardless it is the best for us to go back home now.

I wrote my brothers and focused on his accomplishments and selflessness which included his military career. I included humorous accounts after heart breaking ones so that I didn't leave the folks in the room with deeper sadness than they had coming in. And I included a picture of him on the memorial page of text and had a copy ready so that everyone that came could take one home with them. I hope that helps dear one. We also had a whole section of pictures of him from a baby to right before he died and that seemed to make folks laugh and cry as they looked at them and remembered. It was a good idea so I'm glad you are doing the same.

Rhino, That article is the type that tree-hugging-humanitarians use as their justification to give America away. And the more outraged we become the more barbaric they make us appear. So I wonder if perhaps they have incomes into their homes that have blinded them to the greater need. Abi's tag line says quite a lot about that, but it is intended (in my understanding) to speak from a point of if you have no need it is hard to understand need. Americans have and will continue to have needs because their God given American rights and resources are being given away every single day!
