It would be a sin to allow her to be the representative of the first woman in office; gosh we would be sent back to the dark ages. But I do believe a woman has much to offer in that line of work even though that wasn't our arena too many years past they have proven themselves to be logical and resourceful I think. And thanks for acknowledging I did go back to point. :)

My last post included the current issue between John, Jean and Cathy but it also included the authority of a woman in the workplace as well as my opinion that a woman in the White House would be an advantage and why. Perhaps that was missed.

And if it turns out to be that way it will be added to the other insane things that make my head explode, but then y'all WELL KNOW THAT OF ME. I'm really gone now.

;) Rick Also Hap may have a point there Dot. Yet we all know it is our duty to pay for that sort of thing eh! Yeah, yeah....I sound like a broken record. Back to work it is for me.

You deserved it!

John, A history lesson done by anyone will find equality has not existed between men and women in the work place. It has finally reached some equal levels but that isn't across the board and any woman seeking employment can attest to the fact if she is of child bearing age she will really have to be a superwoman to get the job over a man or even a woman of older age. I have gotten some excellent jobs just because I was not of child bearing age and I knew it. As to discriminative issues in our country. And American Black has now joined the group of American Caucasians in being discriminated for a token outsider. We are 'one' who are becoming a minority and in time that will destroy our country because that token person working next to you more than likely is not putting their wages back into the economy of this country. The authority of the woman in these wimp owned businesses will only be a reality if the woman agrees to give our nation away. So it might not even be an issue in time if man and woman don't start standing up against it. And even though we women have nurturing instincts we also have ones of removing elements that will take the food from the table of our family and God help those that try. In light of this I would prefer a woman in authority in the White House. And I think this thread is kick butt which I stated in the start of it. Kathy

The second one was fun and I bet David will especially dig that one. The third is one talented dude that looks like he could play on for hours and not miss a lick. Although I bet when he picked that cig back up it was mostly ashes. :) Thank you for the great sounds this morning. :B)

Just listened to the first one and that was beautiful. On to the next...........

David, the guy has done such a wide range of music styles that you could never be bored of him. And he can play that guitar, man can he. Also he has those long fingers which I would love to have for picking. It has to be easier than my short fingers. I'm glad you like him. I have loads of his stuff if you're ever looking for something particular. I think you make a much better top of the page person than me. :) Sweet dreams of guitars y'all.

Oh yeah....now I can call it a day. Thanks David.

Polar Bear, I would have loved to been at the after party for that video. Can you imagine sitting there listening to them jam together (with the dots of course). :) And Mark Knopfler. That guy blows me away.

I have not read everything Cathy has said but I can't fault her on speaking of her husband because I have said things regarding mine over the years sufficient enough that those paying attention would know I've not had a bed of roses so it would be hypocritical of me to speak on that. I see she did address you on that and she is the appropriate one to have done so anyway. As to her concerns for others I have felt almost the opposite of her at times as your portion of the definition of sociopath. I had felt in the past she was so protective of the abused around her that she had hurt her own growth in the process. And perhaps that is what you are saying in your way, I should allow some room there, interesting how we can see things differently. But that makes life not a bore also I realize. I will back out of this since you all are talking it through and trust that Cathy has not been embarrassed by my speaking so open of her.

(Free....sorry dear but I must jump in before we get back on track) John, On this I cannot give you the benefit of the doubt. Part of the reason I went to bat for you in the past was because I had an aversion to victim thinking. What I considered continual need to be a victim so you could have your lack supplied by the comforters that surrounded you. I hated it in others because I too was a victim and had fought like hell to remove myself from being one. I have worked hard to get to where I am today and it wasn't brought on by rosy conditions that were void of some form of abuse either. I misjudged Cathy at that time and considered her to be one such victim. I was wrong! I have since gotten to know her behind the scenes and have found her to be one of the most compassionate people I know. She is raising 7 children that show the quality of her in their actions. Our children do reflect their love and nurturing or lack thereof without question. You say she is a sociopath which is defined: Someone whose social behavior is extremely abnormal. Sociopaths are interested only in their personal needs and desires, without concern for the effects of their behavior on others. A person, as a psychopathic personality, whose behavior is antisocial and who lacks a sense of moral responsibility or social conscience. Recently she had an incident that happened that was brought on in normal circumstances of a mother with many things to attend to and had an innocent accident take place that was worsened by a male when it was the opposite of what should have been provided. The horror of the situation of her reaction which was a normal healthy one IMHO mortified in fear it would cause confusion with her children whom she has raised to not behave poorly just because someone else does, and the other people around her because she didn't want to be offensive to them. She is hardly a sociopath in any stretch of the imagination and I don't care what history both of you has you owe her an apology. Kathy

Welcome Jean, Please return as a poster. I appreciate your reply to us and see John a little differently thru your eyes now. Although I have tended to give him the benefit of the doubt most times already. I don't think you'll find many women here that feel about a male in the ways you mentioned. We do make up a group having been abused in one fashion or another but not all are hardened to men even after our experiences. I personally love the creatures (and that is meant in a good way with a joke included). We were mishandled under the authority of twi for the greater part and in our personal struggles to get away from that bondage are probably misunderstood at times. But the freedom of not being a second class citizen has been an incredible awakening for most here also. I think part of the problem has been in some men feeling we that were raped had asked for it in some way so this history between us all includes other aspects also. I have a group of female friends here that I think rock the moon because they are strong yet tender and they have lived thru the fire and came out with hearts that are still soft despite it. Although that independence can be threatening to some men who need their egos stroked and in those cases it’s really deeper than I am even touching here. For some men the abuse they endured to walk the twi line is still a work in process inside them. And for them I feel they were raped just as much as a physical act. Kathy

May the power be with you this day!

See that's what "our John" does. He goes and shows the real man inside and why over the years I have gone to bat for him. But at other times would like to kick him.

I'm glad I got to meet you and your beautiful wife and hear you play guitar and her sing. I hope y'all continue to do that because it was soothing and lifted my heart and I'm certain all those who hear you.

I just posted to you in that place over there. You are a nut. But I'm glad I know you even if you are a nut. ;)

Oh I just want to hug her thru the screen. I love your mom so much. Thank you for her picture. (((((for that sweetie pie))))) Hey dude, if you ever make it down south we have a guest room and I'm sure I can find a blues place for us to go hang out at. :)

QT, If you ever run for office I want to be in your camp. I'll gladly start at entry level just for the opportunity to learn from you. You rock! The others here added wonderful things as well but I just had to point out her post. Dang! John, You've been exposed to some rough examples of women it sounds and I'm sorry for you for that. Women can be wonderful companions and incredible contributors to the home, workplace and society. I've grown away from the woman in the kitchen thinking that I carried most of my life and I'm still struggling with my independence but you can ask my hubby and he will tell you quickly that he can't assume for me anymore. Yet I am not a bulldog lording over him. I handle things I am good at and he handles what he is good at. That is fair to us both. I have come to bat for you more than once over the years but you really need to consider your words and the women here that you are speaking to. We are not bulldogs John, we are women that have for the greater part known abuse and have come out of it stronger and have added to the men in our lives, or will do so to the future men in our lives.
