Ex TWI Way Corps person tells story of conversion to Catholicism
ChattyKathy replied to markomalley's topic in Open
I need to get back to the second half of it but haven't really stopped long enough I felt I could sit and finish it. So did I understand Paw correctly that the one being interviewed is one of us posters? -

Notta, You may also have to update your RealPlayer. If it just sits there looking like it is loading that could be the problem. -
Lunchtime For the Ravens, Or, Scatter Boys Or we're all Gonna Die!
ChattyKathy replied to J0nny Ling0's topic in Open
He died. :( The first person to make it to shore had already screamed loud enough that the medical team had been called but it was too late. We surfed in an area where there were no lifeguards but even if there had been nothing could have been done. The young man was pulled down and as he came up only once he screamed shark and disappeared for good. At that we were already moving as fast as we could towards the shoreline. We didn't set traps after that anymore. Have to get back to work now. -

I don't doubt a word of it either. My outdoor adventures were done mainly on the beach where I set lobster traps off a surf board (even though I don't like lobster  ) and once saw someone taken down by a shark while doing so as the rest of us screamed and flat paddled our way back to shore. I was swimming in a pond once near the house in an area we called lovers lane and jumping off into the water by way of a truck tire on a rope on a tree branch having a blast only to learn that right below my feet was a young couple with cement blocks tied to their feet that had been killed the night before. In the Keys I got in some near misses and I can't tell you the pain of a jellyfish sting. A few other things but mostly having to do with water. Camping to me is in an RV. :) I hope you save all your stories for your kids because it would be a wonderful adventure for them and I hope I get to read many more myself. Thanks Eagle Boy. -
Don't let me spoil your posting dudes. And Rick does an excellent Apu impression and you have to tell him to stop or he will just go on and on. I need to move away from this screen. Y'all go back to what you were doing before I peeked in.

Very interesting Mark. I have listened about half way through and will save the download and pick up the rest later. I find it interesting to hear someone speak of main differences between Protestants and Catholics including twi mixed in there. His start about abortion and why twi would encourage it due to their infidelities was so simple and right there. -

You're quite the story teller. I could see it as I read it. :) -
Apu: Yes! I am a citizen! Now which way to the welfare office? I'm kidding, I'm kidding, I work, I work

PB, Dan, That's usually when I get new things myself when the current ones don't work as they need to. :)

I had to look here again and see that little thing. What a precious doggie he was. If there were such a thing as doggie heaven and crowns he would get the finest.
-
Nice seeing you guys having fun posting.
-
Jonny, That is really something for that little doggie to do. Bless his little heart. If you ever need help with posting things just PM or email me okay.
-
Very nice Dan. Please let us see it when completed if you can.

Can't stay but wanted to say hey!

I must admit that old is something I see more here than I did in Ohio but it's active old not sitting around waiting to die old. The thing is that I feel younger than I am so I sometimes forget when young people ask me if I have any discounts when getting a hotel room or something that I could actually get an AARP one because I ain't old just because my hair is salt and pepper. But I feel old when they ask.
-
They didn't all die before they got old did they? And they knew what it would be like to be old even as young men. Society has proven once old no longer of value which is a crying shame because the stories that can be told if you only sit and listen. I regret I didn't ask more of Ted's mom who lived into her mid 90's almost. The things she saw and the way the world changed in her lifetime were valuable words. I moved here so that neither my mother or my husband's mother would ever have to feel they were no longer valuable. They are and will only become more so in my heart. Thanks Mark.

He is very confident looking also and what an adorable face. How many kids have this as part of their childhood, very cool! And bravo for the folks at home that have instilled the direction of confidence all can see.

Actually today I think I feel a bit acclimated already. Can't stay now, back after dinner.

My oh my but do I need that. ;) Just saying hi before I close down and head to the house.

Just a quick hi and hope y'all are all well. I'll catch up soon. Love you!

I love you girl and have not forgotten the accounts you have given us of your first hand knowledge of seeing your area turn into something that once was a safe home. There are places that the animals on 2 legs have not taken over yet and I am praying you will find it dear one.
