  2. Lay in the grass and do nothing on your day. Happy Birthday!
  3. Whatever landscape is beautiful to you....visit there on your day....if only in your dreams. Happy Birthday!
  4. May it be the best for you. Happy Birthday!
  5. Trust it is a great one for you. Happy Birthday! (could not find a seal for Air Force Corps, hope this one is correct)
  6. Mandii, thank you....and I tried really hard to have fun, especially after Zixar warned me to. :D--> For the most part it was good, but no matter how hard my heart tried to, it was impossible not to focus on what that day was....which was the day we went to war, my birthday was pretty insignificant. But this thread and yall's love towards me (as well as emails from some not posted here) sure made it memorable for me. And Mandii our mutual friend sure thinks you are pretty cool. :)-->
  7. Hey act2, love your copyright...now that is vision girl. ;)--> But I don't think I can find a spot that serves some of that soul food you have in your neck of the woods, how's about sending me up some yummies my friend. :)--> Linda, moving to your general area, actually about 2 hours south/west of you. And it was in my plans someday to see if I could meet ya at Applebees for lunch (did I spell that correct). Thanks about 50 being no big deal. It really does feel like another day. Funny how we get older in years but in some ways I feel as young as these 20 year old whippersnapers running all around me. :D--> Well lunch will be over shortly, gonna snoop some and head out to the real world of work. Although before I do I am gonna have to go beg for some chocolate......hmmmm wonder who might have some stashed in their desk around here. :P-->
  8. Not really, I am at work now on a break. I am training my replacment (I am moving to Ohio in April) so that kinda puts me in a giving kinda way on my birthday. Guess that is pretty cool in itself. :)--> Tonight hubby is taking me out to dinner then I will be receiving a call from the folks who will be a part of that 3/20 hearing about the Way Woods burial site who will be singing me Happy Birthday on the phone. Sweet...yepper. Then I will end out the night in chat with my wonderful buddies seeing what kinda trouble our star Shell has gotten herself into. While we all come up with the answers for her dilema. :D-->
  9. Yall are too much, ya know that. :)--> Thanks for your kindness, but when I look in the mirror I don't see that girl. :D--> But yall sure are good at building a soul up I want to tell ya. Thanks also for those who have not posted here but sent me your loving words via email. I sure love you folks! ;)-->
  10. Yall are just too sweet, really you are. Thank you so much. :)-->

  13. Rottie, Paw gave me that name....wonder if he can't figure me out. :D--> --> :D-->
  14. Oh my goodness. Ted I think you need to change out of those rose colored glasses of yours okeedokee. :D--> Thank you for the beautiful words although very difficult for me to see myself like that. :o--> Yall thank you again, this is a sweet tradition done here on the forum. I think it is wonderful, cause whether we want to admit it or not we really do like folks to tell us Happy Birthday...it is a very sweet thing ain?t it yall. :)-->

Thank you so very much. :)--> And yes I am holding onto 29, which I have held tightly to for well.....oh what the heck....I turn 50 this Wednesday.
  16. JOE BTFSPLK is very simply the world's biggest jinx. He walks around with a perpetually dark rain cloud a foot over his head. Once he appears on any scene, dreadfully bad luck befalls anyone in his vicinity. Though well-meaning and gentle, his reputation inevitably precedes him, so Joe is a very lonely and feared little man. He is also a character with an apparently unpronounceable name, but creator Al Capp pronounced Btfsplk with a "raspberries" sound, also known as a "Bronx cheer." (google search of course :D--> :D--> )
  17. NLL, love hanging out with you in chat. You have a peaceful Birthday.
  18. Oak, Looks like other present twi thinking don't it. Go with the wind whichever direction best accommodates the control issue at hand.
  19. Oak, How in the world could we ever shun the Almighty Oak Tree? I never cared for Sabbath, which is why I really know nothing of the music. But have watched the Osbourne?s and came away thankful for not being them. johniam, Never heard anything about Grateful Dead while in twi. Do know though not all folks disliked such music, in fact at risk of being unpopular I don?t believe the movement to shy from worldly music began with lcm. He liked such music and didn?t keep it a secret. But like most organizations there is always the anal retentive snot nosed understudying whispering in someone?s ear the evils of thus and thus. Think that is where their attitude on music came about. Of course there will be at least one poster on gs who will disagree with me no doubt. :D--> masterherbalist, I agree in part with you on the something we are versus something we do. I think that like any venue in life you have an inner thirst for things that draw you towards it. However even with a natural instinct for such it takes work to be anything in it at all. So in that sense I would say it is still something we do. I lack in voice like others and I imagine some may laugh to watch me dance although it has never stopped me yet. --> As covered in this thread by many before we need to experience various forms of music to know what moves us to establish what we are. And what makes us become peaceful, happy, etc. Music is so darn huge ain?t it.
