"Food for Thought" - Original Sin
ChattyKathy replied to Biblefan Dave's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
Okay God wouldn't have told Adam and Eve about Lucifer, I was just taking some liberties earlier, but that thought doesn't fit too well. -

"Can't you see I'm walking here!" Lt. Dan Lt. Dan: Have you found God yet, Gump? Forrest Gump: I didn't know I was supposed to be looking for him. Forrest Gump: Lieutenant Dan, what are you doing here? Lt. Dan: I'm here to try out my sea legs. Forrest Gump: But you ain't got no legs, Lieutenant Dan. Lt. Dan: Have you found Jesus yet Gump? Forrest Gump: I didn't know I was supposed to be looking for him sir. New Years Eve (hmmm which year?) You tell me! :)--> By robert johnson I went down to the crossroads, fell down on my knees. I went down to the crossroads, fell down on my knees. Asked the lord above for mercy, save me if you please. I went down to the crossroads, tried to flag a ride. I went down to the crossroads, tried to flag a ride. Nobody seemed to know me, everybody passed me by. I’m going down to rosedale, take my rider by my side. I’m going down to rosedale, take my rider by my side. You can still barrelhouse, baby, on the riverside. You can run, you can run, tell my friend-boy willie brown. You can run, you can run, tell my friend-boy willie brown. And I’m standing at the crossroads, believe I’m sinking down. The live Cream version of this song turned up really loud, will strike your soul. Johnson does a good job, but just does not deliver the weight necessary to fold steel. Cream delivers with raw bone rattling bass (Jack Bruce), thunderring drums (Ginger Baker),and starling ripping riffs (Slow Hand). I don't have the live Cream version, but I have their recorded version of Crossroads, as well Clapton's new CD "Me and Mr. Johnson"...a must have! As great as Robert Johnson was Clapton CONTROLS that song. Ya know what, Clapton ain't the best but he has the whole package that sets him apart IMHO. But then I'm not prejudice am I? ;)--> If you don't have "Pilgrim" (Clapton) please get it, it's well worth the effort. Then when playing for the first time start at track #3. As much as I love the first two tracks, their downers and best not to catch the first taste through. You'll probably play "Broken Hearted" a few times though...it's SWEET! Whoops. Pardon me. I do think that was the Holy Grail back there. I would love to stay and finish whatever point I was heading. Sorry for the slight digression! NOW YOU CAN OPEN YOUR EYES. SURPRISE!!! Thanks, been kinda difficult walking through life with my eyes closed man. :P--> ROK ON !!!!!

"Food for Thought" - Original Sin

Biblefan Dave, the original self-pleasure was taught by VP, LCM taught it was Eve having homosexual sex with Satan who was manifested as woman. Now the part of that which is kooky (I jest, it's loaded with kooky) is if Adam was with Satan/Woman then it wouldn't have been homosexual sex for him. I think it was a banana....sorry....joking. Since God already had history with disobedience he probably saw fit to make it an option for mankind as well. I'm taking great liberty for God's thoughts of course, just IMHO. In following my thinking He would have also told Adam and Eve something of the choice made my Lucifer. Goodness, now I'm really taking liberties. But we don't know everything God said to them. Nor do we really know the fullness of what they had in the direct tie to God. Would he have taught them such things as Lucifer committing high treason (thanks WordWolf for given me the idea), or have I forgotten more than I learned and shouldn't even ask? So following my reasoning it would be Satan (thanks CKnapp3) that committed the original "original sin". And the "original sin" would have been disobedience (thanks TheEvan). -

The thin walls are a nada for sure. But the circular with no flat walls would make me insane. By the way, I'm referring to the Mongolian Round House (yurt), we talking same structure? With the portable, you have a point there, but size would be rather small for that wouldn't it? -
OMG...remember we started out this way a couple of years ago...egads...run Songster run...

Hubby wanted to build one of those once, had the plans and everything. I wasn't as excited about the idea. :)--> -
Books are a kewl gift. Our son usually gets us books and DVD's for the holiday. This year his dad received Dune "The Machine Crusade" which he was thrilled about. It's amazing how Frank Herbert is still alive in his son and Anderson's writing. I received Last Letters Home "Voices of Americans From The Battlefields Of Iraq" which my heart has had mixed reviews of. With my two nephews back (one leaves in hours) over in Iraq for a second year and this time with one having written my Mom about his thankfulness for being a Mom to him when his (my sibling) died too young. So this book is too close to home and genders much unsettling in me. I'm sure my son had no idea the reaction, nor have I told him so, even if I left the room to cry. :(--> Gosh Geo, I'm sorry for turning this post into me. Geez! --> We buy as we need it during the year as well. Our son loves Asian art, as well as there was a glass maker that had a display at our museum last year this time which I took our son to view. This guy of whom the name escapes me is incredible, his work nearly beyond compare. Well I happened upon a piece in a most unlikely place for nearly no monies that looked just like his art. The colors swirled and the style of the glass has an Asian look, which is perfect for a CA studio already adorning Asian style. When he opened the gift he had a mixed expression on his face, with the first words being "Mom, omg did you steal this from the museum?" Um, well son I have no experience in such things and I love you but I'm not going to jail for a hunk of glass, no matter how kewl it is. ;)--> I did go on didn't I....
