Hee hee! Much as I'd like to, this client is bound by Hipaa rules. And behind a killer hardware firewall that I set up for them. :)--> Rick Sudo, case in point! He wasn't even talking about our using this server, see what I mean. Maybe I oughta listen more closely....lmao! :D-->

Is that Mel Carter doing Hold me Thrill me Kiss me? What a beautiful song. How romantic and you aren't embarrassed to show it. How nice for Carol. :)--> And you can have my share of playing with that server, I really don't know if I want to. I mean Rick says these things like SOMEHOW I'm suppose to know what the heck he is saying. And so I say uh huh a lot but he knows I haven't a clue! --> No disrespect for your server wasway. I'm sure it is very nice and all that. ;)-->

--> And I agree with you on the Star Trek beginnings not being all lovey dovey with Kirk. But to be honest he way over dramatizes. I mean I loved the show and the adventures and yada yada but the guy is way over the top. Dang but if that isn't a tad *itchy on my part. Well moving right along here. ;)--> Perry Mason was great. His presence in the court room just took over the scene. And I guess we've talked about The Twilight Zone in Nostalgia 1 (God rest it's soul). Between that, Mission Impossible and the beach movies thrown in, well heck you were good to go! :)--> Okay, so like why am I here posting on a work morning? Well the FBI assignment I was on went on temporary hiatus and I had some paid time and took it so I could better enjoy my first ever bronchial infection (getting old sucks the big one). Next week on another temporary gig till the FBI thing starts back up again, if things go as planned. Well now that I've just gone on and on let me go do something somewhere, I just know I have loads of something's to attend to. :)-->

Shell, I'll pop in after 8, maybe closer to 9 and see if you're hanging there. hiway29, very kewl stuff in your reply but Rick won't stop talking to me in the back room so I'll get back to you in a bit. (Rick...:P-->...)

Shell, much has been going on, sorry I fell off the face of the earth again. :(--> You going to be in chat tonight?

I do regret not knowing things like the Bowery Boys and Dead End Kids. Some of that is vague but that's the best I have on it. Sudo is correct in his summation to a degree in that girls didn't necessarily follow with the interests of boys during those younger years. These years below are more teens than younger but some you'll recognize from the same time frame as what was mentioned. I loved Mission Impossible. What can you say about it? It was just one excellent piece of work! Another I watched was Star Trek. But I swear let's be honest about Kirk. They made him out to be the biggest space ho there was. And the guy didn't even make one hair on my arm stand up so no way did he have it like they portrayed. --> Other things I enjoyed was This Is Your Life, The Twilight Zone, Lost In Space, Perry Mason, Leave It To Beaver, The Tonight Show, Dragnet, 77 Sunset Strip, and The Fugitive. Anyway that's a few I watched somewhere in those years. But I liked beach movies and some might consider that a girl thing. :)-->

Been there before! :P--> It brought back a found memory of my brother. He use to start with large numbers and work down. Without using apparent humor he would stir a laugh in a listener. Bless his heart! He died not too many years after my sister did at the young age of 43. Regardless that bummer comment I thank you! Your starting with large numbers reminded me of him and that's a good thing! :)-->

Here is a partial article regarding that statement. And talk about an uproar. Our mothers forbade us to listen to their music, but we did in secret. Although I never was a sold out fan of the Beatles.

What a strange cover that was also. And welcome Sharon! :)--> See you fine folks tomorrow.

Sudo, I'm with Pirate and Geo on this one. I can't imagine the role of Rick being played by Ronny. Also what of Sam! I swear Frodo had a Sam and Rick had a Sam. Sam's seem to be pretty kewl best friends.
-
Sudo, headed out now but I'll check your link in a bit. And Rick has been busy, but I think he still likes you..... :D--> :D--> Bye for now! :)-->

....well, um....nope cause I talk to him everyday....:P--> hiya krys....:)-->

I just watched Casablanca. Dang! What a movie. I knew I loved it when last I saw but that was too many years ago. One of the early lines by Renault (Rains) to Rick (Bogart) in Rick's Café Americana about Rick not throwing women away like that because one day they may become scarce was a hoot (even though to see that line and not know the movie pales). Another when Rick replied to the Commander of the Third Reich (Vendt) when he threatened they may invade the US "There is a certain section of NY I wouldn't plan on invading." I swear it made me wish I could claim heritage of NY. :)--> But the storyline is great. With Rick's Café to me like a way-station and the diversity of patrons, itself enjoyable to watch. But the scene when the Nazi's were singing and celebrating their barfola and the room began to stand and sing Viva la France. What a scene! I completely understand stated sentiments. It makes you want to stand up and go YEAH! :)--> And I'd forgotten how Rick slipped those letters of transit away right before everyone unseen. Okay so the romance line. Gosh. I mean Ilsa (Bergman) loves her husband Laszlo (Henreid) but I think she loves his cause which is also her cause and that is of a "freedom fighter." And for her to return to Laszlo when he got out of the concentration camp because she knew she was good for him. And with her he could do what he burned to do was....well, gosh! Yeah, I know there is the obvious but when you chose such a thing, even in the end she still could have turned around and ran from the direction of the plane. She still chose the love of freedom for more than one than she did her hearts love for Rick. And my goodness. Okay so I'm being way too mushy. :o--> What an excellent movie! Sudo, thank you! ;)-->

Hi! Sorry I didn't reply, was not around this week. Sudo, it's been so long since I saw the movie, I can't remember all the details sadly. Yet it was an excellent movie....gosh I need to rent that this weekend.... Oh, btw.... ....enjoy!

I found this and thought maybe some (not hiway29) like myself may have never heard about this.
-
But then you know they know cause you knew. :D-->
-
Wait! I can't talk about songs or themes or especially google thingies! How many times in a lifetime do you hear something like that said about you? Well my goodness Mr. Sudo all in one paragraph you got Rick replying to you and you saying something dadgum beautiful about me. Gosh wish it were so my friend! :)--> Okay so I have to go finish dinner, cant stay but actually I want to...what is that word anyway...well, I want to enjoy this moment of exception. :o-->

Sudo, I read a little about them and was reminded of how they introduced a different view of the police. The brief said they were not the "pigs". And they said words like "groovy", "keep the faith" and "solid". But I can't recall the full meaning of "solid". The stars Peggy Lipton, Michael Cole, and Clarence Williams III were a way of balancing the peace/war thing going on and our trust of the that type authority after Kent State. Or so IMHO. My favorite character was Williams actually. Cole was neat but he was just like another pretty face. And Lipton was a girl. :D-->
