Possibly because religion for religion's sake sucks!
-
I can't eat them. She has good taste. :)

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I get into these things where I'm sure I make no sense but heck if that's stopped me yet! :D I already did my pickle thing. :P And if I wanted ice cream (and nah there wasn't any) and pickles for that reason.....well I'm not sure what you'd call that. :D
-
Shell, Thanks about the pickle. I rather enjoyed it I guess you noticed. Thanks for your wishes for my health as well and I'm going in, no fever so feel safe to be with folks now. Bye all!
-
Who'd of thought I could find a picture of a pickle. :o I had to come back, cause my face makes the picture not start soon enough and it looks different in the preview if that makes any sense. Years later, so they made up I reckon. :) Okay I'll stop now. I just get these things going ya know and have to take it all the way. ;)

I ate one in the middle of the night. No lie, I'd not had much success with food and felt good enough in the middle of the night to eat something. So what was I celebrating that I didn't know about? :o :) And Shell it's so good to see you.

Um excuse me Mr. Focused for just a moment please. But Sushi and Ala, I think my fever must be high, I could have sworn I read something from two of y'all but perhaps I was hallucinating. :D Okay I'm back to say that you SaintGeorge and Rick's banter is quite fun. Bye again anyone around, I think I need to be away again. :(

Geo, I think God and all that houses for me (religion=same I reckon) is a place of refuge. When men that I'd wanted to trust since a baby were the ones that hurt me the most I learned I needed something bigger than my immediate surroundings. Something that wouldn't fail me no matter what the circumstance. Something I didn't have to keep earning. Acceptance without hesitance regardless of who I was. A refuge when my world was topsie-turvie. Sorry ya asked? ;) Kathy

Why is the trinity such a big deal?
ChattyKathy replied to def59's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
I'm home ill but felt enough response inside (thankfully not the kind I'm home in part for) that I needed to reply. I will speak from experience cause it's what I have. I never knew I was raised Trinitarian until in my personal studies of different faiths (which was some spiked due to politics) I found such a stumbling of that word in explanation. So I began to put it together in my own head and in so discovered my childhood faith believed in the triune God. And of course twi does not! I found that God was in all three inseparable and thus that simple explanation I kept seeing woven into the words of different faiths. Even twi! Wowsie Rosie! I refrained from admitting I thought it was a language barrier for reasons probably heavily in fear that someone in their fervor against it may tick me off. :D -
Oops, I missed it as well. Happy Belated COOLwaters! And excath your avatar is scary!

Are you saying ma-ma? B)

hahahahahahahaha y'all

Okay I need to be away a little but I just had to say this felt nice, kinda warm and huggy. ;)
-
Actually I've found that triune thinking is something I was raised with in the Nazarene church and didn't even know it. TWI was so adamantly against it I noticed that. :o But God being a part of Jesus Christ and the holy spirit is right on, I know it isn't that simple. But I've also found it isn't that complex either. Make sense? ;)

Sudo, Actually I appreciate she has a wonderful voice but I don't own anything of hers and probably won't as I too find she isn't my style or something. As for us chit chatting, I've felt some responsible for that as I don't go many other places around here. Unless I notice a title or something that catches my attention I find I miss loads that go on around here. But this place I come to even if no time to post, just to see the smiles and hello's. I suspect many more read than post and I wish they'd join in. And if I could master my stupid glitch I'd post links more and that would add to the thread also. Maybe soon I'll stop talking and do it. I do know this I feel this is a home of a sorts and I know it's obvious I do I reckon. Thanks for welcoming our words Sudo, you are a dear you know. Kathy

Rick, nice! Listening to the second one now. Ala, hmmm it's right there. Oh and thanks for telling me you can see the picture in Halloween now.
-
Okay, someone go look in Sudo's thread on Halloween and see if you can see an image in my post please? Sudo, I swear I think I was doing a most stupid thing every time.

Welcome karateka, you've been wonderful to jump right in. :) And I agree with your thoughts on God honoring anyone who seeks Him. Intelligence and even life schooling isn't the parameter for being heard. My head hurts sometimes too when I try to keep up around here, but I don't read as much as I use to and may miss some of the less taxing as well. IMHO For Jesus Christ to be God then God worked thru him and therefore was "of" Jesus Christ. In the way Jesus Christ acted and spoke which would have to include his thoughts. He-God worked from within Jesus Christ is how I humbly feel it was. Including the limited abilities of being a man (yet not constrained except by His own will). And God could not die of course. So IMHO God would have had to allow His self to be bound by the laws of flesh and blood and His spiritual intercession IN FULL. He had to NOT force His spirit upon His son and make him do His will. His son had to take the action or how could he be tempted like as unto man?! IMHO.

Sudo, Check your email please. And thanks, cause I see the image so I didn't realize y'all didn't. :( I still really wish it wouldn't show edit one second later. Well perhaps if I learnt' how ta spellll it'd help me! Okay so I need to get away from here but ain't it funny how you can now edit your post earlier than you posted it! Yup, I find that to be fun.

Sushi, That was funny! But he was great to listen to in the day. It was tied to hippie thinking on my part though. Moon Girl, When you're in the post mode see that little picture of a tree between the Insert email and Wrap in a Quote icons? Well that's where you'll post the properties/location of your picture. I copy it and paste it inside there. I gather then you know how to locate and obtain those since you're posting the thumbnail versions. If not holler and I'll walk ya thru that as well. Sudo, Cute but it's almost like Moon Girl and I are guessing your Halloween tune in Open like it was one posted here. :)
