  1. OMG Rick what delights they both were but the first is especially precious. What a talent, what a loss and I don't think she ever knew how unique she was. Wonderful that we had here when we did. Thank you for bring her here. Here's where you go: bring=bringing To avoid an edit notation.
  2. :D :D And Sudo...... :o :P He charges $10 an hour, but he’s willing to negotiate. Oops not an hour...now that would be really cheap.
  3. Sudo, I'll listen to it in just a minute. I owe you an apology as you voiced you knew the voice just didn't give the name. We all came in at different times. Of the ones that post regularly I believe the originals would be Sudo and Bluzeman. A few just joined so are learning the mechanics so feel at home learning. How you could have answered that you knew the group would have been to say something like chicks for free which is a dead giveaway (for the point). And that way you're letting the readers know you know the answer without giving it away. Then you could have one like Sudo posted recently... ...where he is letting us know to go for it so the game has some versatility to it. For me part of the fun is watching how folks come up with ways to let the provider of link/clue know they know. Anyway I'd missed reply to part of your post and wanted to come back.
  4. RottieGrrrl, Don't go away again but if you do I do hope you return with such humor. You were missed!
  5. The movie of which Bowtwi guessed the singer and Rick confirmed as well as then named the song is not a light movie either. So Morgan I don't know if you would watch that or not but the subject matter is dark yet the characters were rich in performance and it was a drama of real life where things are not peaches and cream. I loved the movie. And I have two more links which tie to one movie but I'll wait to see if anyone wants to name the movie this song came from first. Moon Girl.....listening now. How about I read it and what a song and what a voice she has. I can see why the two songs would come together for you. Yup.
  6. Warning! Not a light listen but a song you'll probably recognize the group of right away. My question is what movie was it played in and if you want to name the song and group that would be cool also. It's not an old movie though. HERE
  7. Cowgirl, It does but the guys are much better at that stuff so I'll let them help you okay. Bowtwi, Instead of bringing more than one song I thought this one deserved it's own space and I suspect you'd agree. And it shouldn't have the artist because of how I imported it from my CD but it'll be: Rascal Flatts "I'm Movin' On"
  8. Bowtwi, I have a song or two I will burn later on and bring them here. One by Rascal Flatts that I bet you already guessed while you were reading this sentence. Much later.....
  9. Well that would make sense then. Don't go inside. But if they still have a fabric printing shop that allows visitors and don't laugh if they roll their eyes back and go that was my mother's era. Because we went in and they showed us how they used wood blocks and printed fabric while we watched and it was worth the time I felt. Also you must plan to be there at sundown. They use to close up shop (everyone) and all would head to the boardwalk to watch the sun set and there would be strolling musicians and kids in pockets here and there playing and laughing and all would just mingle and anticipate it and then it set on the water and the colors and the mesmerizing was unforgettable (I see it as I type) and then everyone would stand if they were sitting and all would applaud and give a standing ovation. Then go back and open the shops and start over again.
  10. Since my mother was raped and I was a product I would say I'm grateful at 15 she didn't abort me.
  11. I think Ted would love it! But if tempted to go into Hemingway's house make sure that they don't still have cats. Now mind you I'm not talking against cats but there were hundreds (I may be off but loads) at one time and even when you toured it you knew there were cats. :blink: I've seen Jimmy Buffett in concert and he is the best. He comes out like your just a big back yard party he has going on and he as much as takes his shoes off and sits on the edge and chats as he performs for the welcome you feel from him. But then there is honor among Parrot Heads and he knows his audience have followed him forever. :) { to you edit notation :P }
  12. Bowtwi, If it's who I think it is she also did a small venue that was taped where you could almost believe she was Patsy Cline for a moment or so she was so good. Sudo, I agree it is Anne Murray. And I can hear what you you're talking about. Cowgirl, I'm thinking between 11:56 and 12:08 you said can't be anyone else so I'm going for it. :) Moon Girl, You ever spend any time in the Keys? And if so you ever go to Hemingway's old hang out Sloppy Joes? And if so did you hear Jimmy Buffet music coming out of houses and shops? ;) George, :D Rick, That was absolutely delightful! :) Sudo, Disregard the you in my sentence. Geez!
  13. Welcome Morgan! I don't believe I know you at all but my name is Kathy. Ask questions if ya like if not clear on what we're doing. Please stay around for awhile. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Let me answer my clue first then I'll go listen to y'all's links and it will be past 10 minutes and won't combine posts. (had to take out, wouldn't transfer) Which one was the real Ozzie would depend upon how old you were. :) And Ricky’s twins Gunnar and Matthew Nelson of which I know nothing at all. PS...y'all were great on my clue! It was fun reading how ya worked around with it. Okay let me go listen to links. Ah rats! I have to take my link above off cause they must not allow transport. Well rats! It was the same picture with Ozzie Ozborn instead.
  14. Moon Girl, I had one and loved it I recall. (I also misspelled it) Hula Hoop of that era I believe. Hiwayman, You know the show without question and thank you for helping bring back more memories for me. And yes I did jump generations and knew if anyone knew the theme at all that clue should aid in confirming but if not well it would be hard to identify it yup. :) And you concluded in a similar way I thought as far as pictionary. Agreed on the imposters of the Alvin Show.
  15. I know we have Sudo's open and perhaps more (?) but I'll add one now if okay by y'all. The clue on this one would be long blond hair times two. HERE
  16. Sudo, :) ....me I want a hoola hoop.... I like that dang song, what can I say. I've no idea of yours but I'm sure I know it. A tough one. Well hubby and neighbor just pulled out with a truck loaded down with necessary supplies headed to Mississippi. Yeah for all my talk about you men and that T word I already miss him. :(
  17. Moon Girl, I don't recall hearing that song. Did you share it with your family when you were younger? SaintGeorge, No lie that was very cool both here and over in y'alls thread. I go very few places so I do miss talent around here. I saw the one Raf guessed at and it was cool how he wrote his thought processes down so anyone wanting to join in could learn how it's done. I start a thread at the last post so I read the answer before I saw the clue and it was neat to see how it played out. Sudo, Why would I show this in relation to you and something you may have in your library of tunes? And it was fun watching Cowgirl and Bowtwi working with their clues. And Bowtwi you know you've blown me away with your logic and determination so :P to you. :)
  18. Bowtwi, I think Sudo meant your name to be on his post rather than mine. ;) Okay back to work I must return, just saw this email notification in my inbox and thought I'd quickly log on and say hi and that I think Sudo was talking to you in that post. It'll be later before I can catch up and listen to y'all's links okay. Bye again! Me
  19. Bowtwi, Not meaning to slight anyone as I still haven't the opportunity to give this my best but perhaps it is two things and I'm just guessing. But I think if you change your ftp to http and change your THIS to what the link is called in the html server you are linking us to it may work. Here is the comparison for some visual should that be of help. http://mail.bluzecentral.net/~sudo/jolly.wav ftp://baygeeks.com/Mom/THIS.wav My best to y'all.
  20. I was away and have no time right now but will as soon as I can. It's very cool how so many added since I last was here and SaintGeorge yours is a mystery for sure but working on it. Bye for now.
  21. Wow you guys were busy and there's folks just bubbling with links and clues and I need to catch up. :)
  22. Sudo, You do make me laugh you do. I love the way you put things. Of course remember it took me a few minutes to figure some things out. :) I've heard that theme, I just know I know it but can't bring to mind yet, nor can hubby when I asked him. Cowgirl, Which reminds me it took me forever to figure out a clue was a clue. I wanted to respond to what the person was saying and often that was difficult because clues don't necessarily make a lot of sense on their own. So feel at ease while you learn. And your last clue was extremely good. Sudo, I love you guys but I mean all of you well most of you I should say but I feel more like all of you have this thing going and lately it seems pretty strong in a few. I mean last night hubby was ready to rumble in the circle when 3 cars came in and parked at the same time with one somewhat blocking part of our drive. But what got his attention was they were all dressed in black. I could see but he was blocked by his van that they were heading toward the neighbors and he (approx 18) and the same aged young man from across the street were in the driveway greeting them. But without hubby seeing the greeting team he was moving out with some energy when I was able to stop him and direct where they were going. So he stopped but his body had to pace it down. He has started back in martial arts and he's been involved with Aikido, Karate and a Judo mix called something that I can't recall at the moment. I think that is part of the physical thing going on but it was just a tad too much yet what appropriate actions should there not have been someone he knew there greeting them. He needs to fish and relax. That's all I'll say about you men. ;) I'll post something maybe later also. And thanks Sudo.....you do make me smile and I needed it. :)
