  1. Ala, so good to see. It's almost like a family reunion when folks come back to post. (((you)))
  2. Cowgirl, So wonderful to see you back! I love Mary Chapin Carpenter's I Feel Lucky. Cool that you're going to Texas in February to see your  honey. Y'all have a few miles between ya don't ya! Sudo, The Marx Brothers have some interesting history if I recall correctly, but right now I can't recall what it was. Sorry I'm not around much. Hope all are having a good week and looking forward to the weekend. For you Sudo:
  3. I've seen myself change in this subject, as well the surrounding ones touched on in this thread. And one thing I know is there's much truth to anything we hold onto being found wanting if we don't know what we're holding onto. Robotic responses that keep you off the carpet don't buy a stick of gum in the real world. I guess for that I can thank twi. After accepting more than I should have I've learned to know the merchandise a bit more before I purchase. Yet I still can't prove to some how that can be. But that's okay by me and I reckon it can be for the other party as well.
  4. I think Sushi and Moon Girl are right, and if ya ain't I'll always believe ya should have been. :)
  5. Welcome back home. I got an email from Ted and he sounded soooooo lonely without you! I'll miss you during the day here Moon Girl. And speaking of missing folks were did Cowgirl go????????
  6. I love Nat King Cole. What a smooth confidence. The singer loved rainbows. You sent that comic in your email. :D Here's what one leftover turkey was thinking this Christmas.
  7. Well I must admit I did ponder that same thought.... :D Night all, headed to pick up our son......
  8. But what a view from that back porch (I guess it has to be called that but you could about live there when warmer). Have you seen any deer yet? Or as his mom likes to call them any ground squirrels? He did give you a blanket I hope. :D I bet you don't even go out there come night fall. :) And a word of warning if you hear the back door lock go click you're in deep doodoo....(Ted will now have to tell you that story).
  9. Moon Girl, It's okay but I hope you have a big ole snow blizzard when you get home. :P :) Nah, really I had the thought you probably didn't mind this heat wave at all. I had to pull my light jacket back out, but I did it with a smile. Right now its 40 and that may seem cooler to you but that's nearly a heat wave. :D Rick, I love both of those and as soon as the first note rang out I knew both. Good selections! Although in both of those cases I grew to appreciate them later in life. Oh my gawd, I don't even like how that sounded. And you don't say a word! :)
  10. SNOW AT ITSUKUSHIMA Kawase Hasui That was a cool post Geo. And I thought you might enjoy this.
  11. Sudo, Gosh after listening to Andy Williams then going back and listening to Johnny Mathis after knowing who it was geez. It's so obvious. And I swear I thought it was Peggy Lee. Okay that's all the redfaces I can handle. What about Ella's voice?! My goodness. I like marshmallows in my hot chocolate, does your family? It sounds like a hard time to me, I don't think I could get thru having off till the 2nd. ;) Good for you! Enjoy every second. Our son comes in tomorrow. I can't wait! Later....
  12. If the first singer is Ella then my clue of the rockbag pl bass guitar which was a clue to Rick with the first and last initial of who I thought the singer was is wrong. So it's a nothing anyway. :( But my clue of What happened that spring afternoon in the log-and-stone chalet those many years ago is tied to the exwife of the person I think is singing your second clue. I hope that helps some. Yup! :)
  13. I can't quite make out the year because they put a staple there but I think it's 1984. So not very old but I found it at a thrift store and thought it was so cute and fifty cents didn't hurt to put out for it. It's pseudo nostalgic. (sorry for the size)
  14. Sushi, but when they recognize the handwriting in their return letter from Santa as being their grandma's.... :) Sudo, adorable! :D
  15. What happened that spring afternoon in the log-and-stone chalet those many years ago....(oops...forgot to change the html setting)
  16. Oh man! I know it now. Yes, that is her voice. Yes indeed.
  17. Are you packed? ;) And Sudo, did you say your kids grew up with that music? Do they play an instrument?
