Ala, listening now....how very relaxing. This was in my son's youth but I enjoyed watching it with him. HERE And this one just because it's lighthearted and most of us watched it. HERE
-
Ala, without downloading the song and only seeing the title I LOVE IT if it's the group whose name is composed of natural elements. And yes dear, I know what you're thanking me for. (((you)))
-
Yeah Gidget ran 65-66. Much too short for my liking. I really shouldn't be peeking at y'all but my brain is fried!
-
I simply must have a break! This is what I thought it was (left name of show in title of wav). HERE (if it plays odd sorry cause I don't listen to songs here in the office)
-
I've been around some butt cheese that couldn't have been legal.
-
If it's the show where he was the husband then it's not the one I was thinking about.
-
Sudo, If it’s what I think I LOVED that show. For the short life it had I was spellbound by her life. I thought it so dreamy (yeah, that'd been the word then). Thank you for making me think of that show even if this isn't the same one. :) I also enjoyed her grow up in the industry and make some fine pieces of work IMHO. One especially with a small cast of fine women has a scene in a park that is heart wrenching for a parent. Not to leave on that note. She also said something she received a good deal of ribbing for on stage one time. Okay IF it is that show. Moon Girl, Hi, I started posting before you got in there and took so long messing with it you I missed your clue before I'd typed mine. :( What am I saying in that last sentence? I guess the idea is when you decide you want to use one word over another you're suppose to take the one you don't want out.
-
Cowgirl, I know you're up there because I saw you before we had a new poster to our thread. And he's come with running songs indeed. What you say about street/pavement versus natural running certainly makes sense. WhiteDove, welcome to a great place to hang out. You know all the folks that come around here I think. And we do enjoy music I bet you noticed. Take your shoes off and sit for a spell. :)
-
Ala and Cowgirl, I suspect you'll be the only ones to know what their saying and I hope not an error on my part that it's the same type French. I found it lovely without knowing the lyrics realizing that can be interesting when you learn what they are. I've since looked them up and will provide the French and English translations. Cowgirl, I admire you. I hated running in the dark mornings while in-rez and that is the only time I ever did it faithfully but I do love to swim. But I haven't done so in awhile. Ala, like I said earlier this song made me think of you because it seemed so beautiful even not knowing the words. And I wasn't thinking of your avatar either. :) The song is a mp3 because I converted my CD to a wav file but I forgot to ask Rick a setting question and this thing was humongous so sorry guys it's a mp3 for now. English Translation: Song of a Fifteen Year Old Girl Since I was fourteen years old you made me love you. Telling me that one day you would marry me. I gave you what you wanted, my dear little heart and my love Fifteen days passed you never came to look for me. I cried, I was lonely for the love I had lost Since the age of fifteen I have looked everywhere To try to find another like you but I couldn't.

Ala, I'll be honest for the first 45 seconds of the song I didn't know if I liked it then I noticed somewhere around 1½ minutes into it that I was smiling like I do when I listen to blues. The words are life's sounds at times. The alternative is slow in coming sometimes it appears. Or that is according to my time. So blues is life and for me I love the music because it's comforting. That first song wasn't called blues I bet but it did the same for me. Except it could have used way more harmonica and guitars, I mean way more! :) The second reminds me of a mix of Judy Collins, Cheryl Crow and Rickie Lee Jones. Thanks for the music to listen to while I prepare dinner. I was listening to a CD earlier that had some Cajun music. Called Evangelina (something or other...too lazy to get up and look) but it has Cajun French songs with no English on it and there was one especially beautiful one that reminded me of you. Later on tonight I'll post it here should anyone else want to listen.

I agree and I think that's why I stopped watching it. Y'all know those shows you're really not sure why you kept watching but you did. Well this is one of them. HERE It was on during the same time frame as the ones we've been doing. Everyone knows this one. :)
-
Sudo, I've never seen that but I had to Google it after I read hiwayman's clue and I wished I'd seen it and can't understand why I didn't at this point. ~~~~~ Windows Media Player doesn't allow for m4a files though so that option has to be chosen in Real Player (as one that plays m4a's). I could be wrong but I believe I'm correct. I agree on the download time for Mozilla rather than the immediate player engaging and the song starting like it does when I'm using IE as my browser. I liked Bill Bixby as well. I watched the television series The Hulk but the movie which I've been in the room when on hasn't gotten my attention. And in the end all that nother-land concept was just too much computer ability and not enough substance imho. But I will admit I always found it hilarious how his body would grow and shrink but those pants managed to accommodate it. And here's a theme for a well known Michael Landon series. Of which I watched up to a certain year so I missed the last years. HERE See y'all later.
-
Abi, well you did real good in your clue replies. :) See y'all later!
-
Yes he did leave us too soon. I liked the show because it dealt with priorities of relationships and at the time as you probably have heard ad nauseam I didn't have much experience in a father daughter relationship. The housekeeper was enjoyable as well. Good to see you hiwayman, I think it's been a little bit since last we talked. :)
-
SaintGeorge, yes it has been done before by me actually but like Sudo said about us newbies posting songs they've done before....like you did in your reply they still answer them again anyway which I'm glad for. :) And I think boys watched her cause she was cute even if they won't admit it. This show started a couple years after the one Sudo posted and often brought a tear to my eye. HERE (Moon Girl, thank you for reaching out dear, I hope you and Teddy are good)
-
Sudo, I watched it while entering the "teens" so it was actually quite fun. :) Here's what a British publication said about it: The kids however, portrayed as 'noble savages', are perpetually grateful for the help of these brave, white, gravity-defying Americans...
-
SaintGeorge, if ever there was a classic song to accompany that mental thingee it would be your links. And that last one is enough to send someone back inside the funny farm should they happen to accidentally wander off. Thanks for the fun songs! :)
-
PS....SaintGeorge, although I feel you did well to recover yourself your original approach could have been taken to heart by someone new at this posting of songs. It does take quite a bit more than any other application I have used here on the board. So I wanted you to know that I do appreciate what you had to say and also what Sudo and Rick replied. And I will have Rick walk me thru the part of the program not mastered so I can convert my mp3 or CD's to wav files. If a link of mine is a mp3 I will announce it while posting it. And I do enjoy your being here and the reason why as well. It is why the thread is titled. Bye again y'all for a bit.
-
I need to be away for a little bit but wanted to say thanks you two for that song and I really would love input on it when you can. Or anyone if they know because I just can't seem to get to that stuff on this song. Here is a theme of something I loved as a child because it made the thought of it being possible a real thrill for me I do recall. Enjoy the music itself albeit short because I certainly did. HERE

Oh my! Sushi and Abi, what a song. Thank you Abi because I could not find those words which seemed so odd to me. What a song....can we talk about it a little bit....it seems so haunting of soul...or is it me right now? And last night in chat alone with the two of you was so sweet for me. Actually last night in chat was just flat out wonderful! You're funny! It is cool in my are right now but the sun is out and the clouds are fluffy and I don't have to go into the office and the birds are chirping and I could go on...... And that is a good thing. :) in my arearea...duh
-
Morning Sudo, it's not the original I don't think. And that series had to have an impact on us because the stories were often the substance of our personal fears come to life.
-
Sushi, love the song but I can't come up with the lyrics for some dang reason. When I think of going mental in respect to music this comes to mind for me. HERE (it's a wav file btw)
-
Yes Ala it sure is.
-
Ted, yup I agree because that has to be Pat Boone. <_< Sudo, I can't listen to Ricky Nelson any longer. Well I may be able to listen to Garden Party but that was one of his last songs. I know I've posted a few today so I'd like to close out the day with what is left and then add one more. HERE HERE HERE A new one because I love her voice. HERE
-
Ted, it really is nice seeing you here. I hope your computer is the last thing you close down before heading south. And how wonderful "D" will be there as your best man. Tell him I'd come sing with him for your ceremony except the last time we tried to sing together he accidentally knocked my glasses off so I don't know if he's safe. :P Ala, I think you gave me this momentary run on posting bug. :) Another one from that same era of which that baby Rick will probably not recognize either. ;) HERE (Sudo, sorry I didn't fix your html thingee in my quote of yours)
