HERE is the link for the track found in the bank tube. After you see that one you'll probably say it fits what you've seen and heard. Good lands! Enough to freak a person out getting something like that in your banking tube.

The beginning reminded me of a Maxwell House Coffee commercial that had some similar wording but I found something nostalgic about MH Coffee theme songs. Sudo, I'm sorry but I don't share you love of big band. But I loved your sentiments of the cup of coffee and piece of pie and how well I recall that from my farming family of outer cities of Memphis. In fact one of my favorite places was a small dinner in the downtown square of one of those small cities near you where you could sit at the counter and see the world go by behind you by way of a huge mirror on the wall behind the counter. I thought I was so grown up sitting at the counter. Um, that wasn't really related was it? Oh well. Ala, it was a great song. I just got that Maxwell House thingee going right of the bat. :)

Ala, I swear I wan't a cup of coffee now.

This is no lie. Tonight hubby told me of a comic that was in the drive up tube at the bank when he pulled it out to use it. The previous customer had left it there for this purpose he assumed and I'd agree. It was from Chick Publications. Hubby knew nothing about this thread or who this Chick dude was but after he told me about this comic and his reaction to it (he read it entirely) I told him my reaction to having seen it here for the first time recently. We both said that's weird almost in unison and then shivered off the thoughts of what we'd be saying if we were still twi-heads. This was deemed as cause for eternal damnation btw! (and if this pic ends up too big I will come right back and edit it out) Yup, it was too big. Well it was just more crapola anyway!

HERE :)

Ah ha! That explains this then! :)

Oh my! I do hope that doesn't impact you anymore than it has already.

Rick's just trying to pretend he doesn't see what we're seeing outside right now. It's snowing but it hasn't gotten to the nice point yet!

I like plain cream cheese if you would be so kind Moon Girl. :) Sweet stuff just doesn't do it for me in the morning. I'd rather stay hungry. Am I weird? Now don't go answering that SaintGeorge.
-
If ever there were a time that was a perfect reply! :) When you sit and actually ponder on what it would feel like to be dipped in Sprite I think perhaps it's time to get outta this place! Moon Girl, you cracked me up. :) And I was speaking of myself Moon Girl (not you). :)

Purple cup...perfect! Rooster...close to a chicken so that works for me! Newspaper...um, I don't do that except online if at all but Sunday would be a perfect day for that! Donut....can we do a bagel instead! I'm glad someone was home.

David, I don't think it matters once you denounce Catholicism you're good to go.

Anybody home?

Happy Birthday wishes for Shellon Fockler-North

I've missed birthdays before and just couldn't miss yours dear friend. -
I have hand typed what their green card says: ____________________________________________________________________________ THE BIBLE SAYS THERE'S ONLY ONE WAY TO HEAVEN! WHAT TO PRAY: Dear God, thank you for showing me what you think about Catholicism. I also reject it! I accept Christ's sacrifice as perfect and complete. Please forgive me in Jesus's name. I invite Jesus Christ to come into my life and I place my trust in Him alone for my salvation. Thank you for giving me eternal life right now. Then you have a box to check YES of NO in: Did you accept Jesus Christ as your own personal Saviour? Date___________ If the answer was yes, then this is just the beginning of a wonderful new life with Christ. Now: 1. Read your Bible (KJV) every day to get to know Christ better. 2. Pray to God every day (in your own words). 3. Be baptized, worship, fellowship, and serve with Christians in a church where Christ is preached and the Bible is the final authority. 4. Tell others about Christ. © Jack Chick (who imho is a whackjob) ____________________________________________________________________________ Wow! Even LCM on his best day didn't indoctrinate us into this type control. Where it appears to me the only way to heaven is by denouncement of understanding of Catholism as the very minimum. Thank you Raf for bringing back the link. Thank you Mark for having brought it here in the first place. This is interesting to see to what extent someone would go to act out against any religion. Seriously, even when LCM was pondering and he took his glasses off and fiddled with them he didn't come up with this.

Hiwayman, Very cool stuff, thanks! I'd not remembered and must not have watched it enough to know that it was the same pretty much. I do remember him dancing with top hat on perhaps in the opening. Some of those older cartoons though that had the 'in and out' soundtracks and 'jumpy visuals' were for me the better ones. Or maybe it was just my age and what I saw that made me favor them. I think we talked about this before here but my mind is unable to locate that folder right now. Sudo, I agree, as a young person I couldn't understand the satire. But then I didn't grasp the full understanding of Snoopy and the Red Baron either so it's cool when you see something again and view it from a different perspective. That is one of life's interesting things IMHO. :) It's just flat out ugly! Snow to come in maybe and then it will get pretty.

This is an mp3 but a very short one as an fyi. This ran on 2 different networks. The first late 50's-early 60's and the 2nd from that point to mid 60's. Question: Were both shows similar or did they change in theme along with the name? And this isn't a clue thing, it's a real question. :) HERE

Sudo, not knowing your link but going off of hiwayman's clue of Stan Freberg could this exchange have anything to do with that link? Junyer Bear: Waaah! Now I've got no place to sleep, in which to sleep, in which to sleep! Pa Bear: Well, can't you see it's half past November? Moon Girl, I do hope your weather has improved. We have rain now and snow is moving in (or so the weather men of this cul-de-sac say). The sun is trying to show its face now. I'd rather have snow than rain any day. :) The chops were yummy!

It'll be there, although the one you had sounded wonderful. Close to all the right places. You'll find better! And the poor guy (Rick that is) having to put up with the likes of me. How well you know. (still catching up y'all)
-
I'll be back in a little bit to catch up. Right now there are some chops coming off the grill. I think it has something to do with Sunday. :)
-
What's that you say?! I thought you knew every dadgum thing about me!
-
Y'all are good! I watched it with my son sometimes. Rick, thank you for playing my sister Josie's song. SaintGeorge, yeah I just needed something light and I think everyone loved that show. :) Ala, Your Bad Sneekers is a different version of the song than I have. What is it from please? And your second choice....premo! I LOVE STEELY DAN!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think he's more informed of worldly things these days ya know.
