  1. Yes it sure is The Ghost and Mrs. Muir. I love this photo.
  2. I emailed this to Todd prior to this thread but wanted to repeat it here and asked him if okay that I post it. If you've not really looked at Bodhilingua at Night up close you really should. It has eyes everywhere. My favorite at the moment is Eros & Agape V. (from my email to Todd) I love the site. You've done an amazing job of it. I like the whole feel to it. It's clean and orderly yet constrained almost against it's will as if you knew it had to be subdued because the gallery would pull folks before even seen. There is an anticipation because of the manner you bring us into the site and to your work. And I love order to a certain degree. It makes me less crazy.
  3. I've decided it's too beautiful to stay in so am going out and will be renting that movie and watching it tonight. :)

Socks, When we knew each other back I guess it was 84/85 somewhere there or was it later? Anyway was C**** and his television commercial wife still in the area? Don't know why but I was wondering and thought I'd ask cause I was trying to remember if you guys performed together in our area and I was blanking on that. My brother as you may know died a few years after my sister. He made his 40's but she never did. Anyway he had a beautiful Fender (? details) that he kept in controlled storage at my mothers home in that same area we all lived in Florida where John and Hope stayed faithful not to leave. When my brother died that piece hadn't been noted as where it would go, after all in my brothers mind he was still young, and he was. But my step father gave the piece to my father after the funeral. The scene in itself was one of those you're thankful you were a part of but at the same time you wished you'd never had to encounter. My father is a wonderful strummer of anything with strings and he gently took that guitar from the hands of a man with tears in eyes because he too had been a father to my brother. My father tried to speak but ended up clearing his throat while trying to control his emotions and he put the strap around his neck and began to play. It was as if my brother was in the room again and the air became electric and before long friends and family were singing and laughing at things my brother had done and then of him and our sister and while we cried we laughed at the incredible opportunity we'd all had to know them. And there was comfort brought on because that guitar began to play.
  5. Hiwayman, I think I watched one or two of the television series and it was like adding canned laughter to a finished piece. To have watched the series would have cheapened the movie in my mind so I never had any interest after I saw it was such a disservice to the movie. But the movie....the acting in itself was wonderful and the scenes they used to film it in. Inside her room itself I could have lived my lifetime. I know I sound corny perhaps but the way he treated her some may find not acceptable. I found it to be very fascinating and have I mentioned it was romantic as heck! Moon Girl, Did you see it? Sudo, Oh man it was like an escape from that life of being the wife, mother and housekeeper. And of course they knew the prices. After all the good ones had their hubbies spoken of at the gates ya know. And yup I had to smile at myself and go uh huh they knew what they were doing.
  6. Sudo, That song was the only original recording on a recent 3 CD set of the 60's I just bought on impulse while standing in line at Best Buy. It was a whole 7 bucks and I knew the only original there was this one. But I loved many of the other songs and wanted to just hear the arrangement of them and remember even if not the original artists performing. Hiwayman, I loved that movie. I thought it perhaps one of the most romantic things I've ever seen. All have a good morning now!
  7. Reading your email now but have already looked at what you sent and......way cool!!!!!
  8. This is from the television series of which I didn't watch but the movie that preceded it with different actors is one of my favorite movies of all time. And I've mentioned it here before so this may be real easy. HERE

    What a great thread!
  10. Cowgirl, Does he remind you of Billy Dean mixed in with Randy Owen? Nice song. Thanks for bringing it here. Sudo, I must have watched it because the music is the kind of familiar that you can remember other things in the house you heard it in. Here's a pic that I linked to my account on Rick's server as I'm trying to not cost the owner space or time or whatever you call it. Which wife was this one? Tom, It's very nice to see you here. You tend to bring a lightness with ya and that's a good thing.
  11. You know the group SaintGeorge and I'm short on time and would name them but can't recall now.
  12. Sudo, Here is the one I mentioned. It had identical twins performing in this group. I was 13 or so when this was popular and I thought it wild and I loved it! wav or mp3

You do have a point there. And I've not played a classical guitar so I reckon I'd have to say maybe that idea wasn't so good after all.
  14. Sudo, I also had a roller rink in my growing up. We had our Friday night special dance time where there were flashing colored lights and what seemed at the time like wild music (haha) and we danced/skated. It was great fun. Although some kid accidentally tripped me and I busted my head open above the right brow. That rather ruined that particular evening. Looks like the singer has been identified, or at least I was thinking of the same person. I had a link I tried to post the other night which I will next time I'm working from my PC which comes from this same time frame I think and it's a really cool song IMHO.

Tom, If I had it to do over I'd of taken classical lessons rather than acoustic. I'd have preferred the nylon strings. Then once I got the chords down I could have moved onto metal strings. But the guys are right you will grow calluses in time and the pain will subside. Also I would have practiced in 15 minute intervals rather than 30 or one hour periods. And I would have reverted back to easy chords I enjoyed when the harder ones taxed me. Like the F (anything). I have short fingers and those were torture it seemed. But you can find easy chords that feel good under your fingers and return to them rather than put the guitar down. The more you put it down the further away your next practice will be. Just a couple things I would have done differently that may be of aid to you.
  16. Good lands, you mean I posted the same link he did, bong for me!
  17. Sudo, I will be embarrassed when it's said because I watched it I'm certain. SaintGeorge, I owe you an apology. I missed your guess to me. And yes I believe it was a part of that group of shows.
  18. OMG! I had a second monitor installed today and had been apprehensive regarding it but less than a couple hours later I swear I think I died and went to heaven!
  19. They seemed to include the law in some capacity. Back to work I go, have a good afternoon.
