Tom, You were treated by insane people and how thankful I am they didn't win at destroying 'completely' your life and families. They did quite a bit as it was obviously. I admit they did play the one against the other when they weren't happy with the control they held on the couple (or family). They were quite mastered at it, I was part of those meetings where the signs to look out for in our little household groups were taught. We were taught how to pin point and attack weaknesses for the good of the couple. (horse pile inserted here) And the handling of their devilish probation is nothing but evil. Yours is a horrible example of that in how they screwed up the parent child relationship with their back alley uneducated attempt on working with people as if they were all knowing. Heck their own bedrooms where freaking shambles, what a bunch of horse pile. It was honest to say twi didn't cause the original problems in your first marriage but they certainly did make them far worse and it would sound aided in the finality. We see Christianity differently but we've only once had a talk about it and that incident I was wrong in my approach. I agree with the point you brought up about experience being important, contraire to what twi taught. I may not fully agree with your understanding possibly but I can't imagine my experiences not having been critical aspects of my Christian reality. I know you better now, that's a cool thing. Kathy

Thanks for those additional things guys. And I had heard there was no love lost between the two of them also. I think Davis had the best role for stretching the character for certain. (I'm listening to Oak's episode as I pay bills and check in here :) )
-
Yup, We were both right. :) Nope rather (as in fabricated.....) And with this addition I will show up as 3 email notifications to someone else, I have to come back one more time so I can tie with Hiwayman. Is it just me or is this scary?

Geo :P

Hiwayman, I'm a baby boomer ain't I. Geo, are you sure, I swear it was a rat. I haven't looked to verify but I swear I'm seeing when she lifted the covered plate petite dejeuner a rat.
-
LMAO Hiwayman, I have 2 threads on email notification so even if I don't come here I can see what is added. And you just cracked me up because I went to my inbox and there were 4 emails that were all notifications of a post on one of those threads and the other hasn't been posted on since 12:24 today so I knew it came from Nostalgia. It was all your one post. LMAO because I've wanted to do something different in my linking or not linking my posts and have just sat and looked at it afterwards and thought....uh huh your one post is going to show up as a thousand emails to anyone doing notification. :)

Sudo, yeah, that dead rat when the plate cover was lifted was  I loved your pics! My link was newer than a black and white show. I enjoyed it. I think the main actor is great in delivery and he played the role perfectly. I thought it might have been done here before. He fumbled about. :) I'll see if I have anything of interest later to link, but nothing like your clips. Your clip of 8 year old Sammy Davis Jr and those moves he built back then that defined him as an adult were just thrilling to watch. He was simply fantastic as a child! No fear, absolutely knew he could do it and was digging it to the max. Thank you for that (I know it was awhile back). Pawtucket, it's always an honor to have your font amongst our words. Hiwayman, =me because I was one who didn't watch F Troop And I couldn't name the rascals themselves but I sure loved that show when I was young. Memory escapes me exactly that period, and if I'm old enough to have been watching it prime time. Hmmm, did we have the words prime time back then? Kathy

Thank you, it feels good to be posting some again.

Until Sudo can return..... I enjoyed this show but I suspect others did as well. HERE

I would say that the spread of emotions from one to another is quite apropos when the contagions are brought on by a guitar in hand. However I have heard tell of a redolence of mixture coming from Rick's chest when playing his resonator without a shirt on, he tends to singe his hairs. You male guitar players will have to discus that beings us women ain't likely to have that problem. You sound so dang good Socks! Thank you for sharing with us.
-
I could see you sitting there with that contagious smile as you sang and played. I think I could smell your aftershave. Beautiful! Yup!

Happy Birthday today also!

Yucky, dead rats again. I'll make my own dinner thank you.

A-men! How I love this song. It helped pull me back here from afar off. (((sudo))) (shall I ever remember the html thingee :( :) )
-
I dearly loved that show, but in the movie Smith was wasn't the same that's for sure. (edits  )

HERE I wasn't this, I was just not here.

I don't know anything about what you guys are talking about but it's interesing. :)

Hiwayman, Its from Dec-Jan 1948-49. That's older than me, cool. :) Some of those old blurry black and whites are my favorites though. I mean even African Queen was a hard watch at times but the actors and movie was so good it didn't hurt it. And mainly because the language back then was beautiful. IMHO SaintGeorge, I'm going to say it's Friday night and I earned it but it's Thursday. So I'm just going to say I don't remember much of that one either. :(

Does anyone know if this is really related? I don't remember Howdy Doody either although I suspect I watched it. But I don't seem to have any memories of it.

Cowgirl, That is a lovely picture. Some of the most breathtaking scenes I've seen were when we were in Illinois after a storm and the skies were still dark blue and you'd come around a bend and right before you was a full, I mean you could see it touch the ground on both sides full, rainbow. I like that song, although I hate to be so picky but I don't actually care for most of his songs. Perhaps y'all don't need to know that stuff anyway. Moon Girl, Your hubby's voice messages to me sound exhausted. You two have loads going on. Bless you all.
-
Okay, popcorn and coke in hand. Let's go girl. Not bad guys!
-
Cowgirl, That is a beautiful tune with no words at all. And even if you didn't know what they were you'd know them by sound. It has a reverent feel. I enjoyed it very much. Chas, Very nice of you to supply the words. It's a nice option isn't it? Being able to hear and read at the same time even when you can hear the words. But then that may come from my generation.

Sometimes I sound bosy about the rules around here. But the real rule is that you relax and enjoy yourself. And that looks different for us all. I love having you here, and I know we've spoken but you forget sometimes where. I mean were we in the produce section or meat. Okay, back to the thread. I got distracted. What can I say.

Y'all have been busy. I have some catching up to do. :)
