I'm challenged to remember lyrics when putting together a song. I think to myself oh I'll remember those lines long enough to jot them down.....NOT and that was before I was getting old. I was glued to every word of this thread but my life has been pulling of late and I've missed some things, like your link for example, but this is one of the greatest threads there ever was. So I agree with your sentiments. As to your music being "spacey"......so that's a good thing ain't it! :unsure: I hear confidence in your strumming and that makes the whole ride enjoyable for me. So much can be said by extension of us via those strings.

OMG, his credits take up half of cyberspace. His music has touched us all in some way I suspect. I've heard when someone was in the groove before things I wished were being recorded. You ever do that and wished you'd been recording? I must leave this place for now as my work begins again only in a few hours and I must take a nap.

This one is tough. I can't look at it objectively and I know it so I'll speak from my heart. If mom at 15 had decided to abort me due to a horrible rape that caused me I'd of missed my whole life. There should be common sense regardless concerning having a child because you can when you know you haven't the means. As for the man and his brother they are sorry excuses for their Christian faith if they think it okay to remain unemployed and not keep their pants zipped (thanks Abi)(funny Mark). As for our paying for it...well I'll pass on that. You can thank me later. ;)

I don't even hide my love of looking at them when one pulls up beside me at a light. I just look it over until it's gone. And will roll my window down and turn off my radio so I can hear it for as long as possible. My dad went down on one with me as a passenger. I got banged up and it scared me. But then hubby had a Norton Commando when I met him. Black satin finish. It was gorgeous. Some of the coolest people I've met were Harley drivers. But I feel safer with metal all around me also. We use to hear trains afar off when we lived in Illinois a few years ago and that was nice, but harley's...oh yeah!

Dan that cannot be seen, I apologize to you that somehow I missed your post link until now. That was "wow" first then "beautiful". Mark Knopfler did a similar thing to your song but he used other instruments to produce it whereas yours was pure guitar and a simpler version of it. And nothing can compete with pure guitar. No matter the grand instruments playing. And you play as if you feel it inside and can't help but return it. Beautiful!!! Thank you. Socks, You described quite a bit of what I was thinking it could have done. And I would pace up the bass as it moved towards the close. You'd know that it wasn't over when it ended. So, um...don't you have a theme you are working on? :) Do you have it all planned out? :) Your thoughts on that song displayed your thinking on themes. There have been some strong songs used in movie scores. I've bought soundtracks to movies never seen because I liked the music. You can't go wrong with a string instrument. :wub:

You could about believe him when he cried Stella! I honestly can't recall hearing good things about him, except for his being called the greatest actor. I believe he was an actor that had raw talent but he didn't fit into the mold they needed him to be behind the scenes, one of those hard to capture personalities. It's actually cool today, wild weather we have anymore. :blink:

I've always thought this would be (maybe it was) a theme song. You can hear the alley if that is possible. I thought of the theme Sock's is working on and thought I'd ask this question in general. Would you have taken the ending further before closing the song? Or is it that element that leaves you with question and adds to the depth? Just thinking out loud and thought I'd offer this to listen to. It is excellent IMHO. enjoy please

I love the sound of a chopper in the distance as it approaches. That means I might catch a glimpse. I love OC Choppers (making me a hypocrite cause I poo-poo reality tv). Look at this tank.

Jonathan Steed (Patrick Macnee) & Emma Peel (Diana Rigg) were great together. I think you described it to some degree Geo, but I enjoyed that aspect of it as well. Was I to believe this could be happening was part of the enjoyment for me. But then I tend to like some of the British humor so that probably accounts some too. <_< I loved the names of those women and I had to laugh that it got blipped from Hiwayman's post. I understand Brando couldn't remember his lines so the actor he was looking at had lines attached to their chests or areas like that because he had to rely on them to do his scenes. And if you look at that one you can tell he's reading lines at one point. But I did enjoy him at times. He and that cat with his mouth full of cotton as the Godfather just couldn't have been better. I guess that's why they put up with his crap. :unsure: Benny Hill…

Excellent guess but nope. The actor that played this role in the television series later became better known for a role not too different in some ways but entirely the opposite in others.

I will be gone perhaps a day or so. I'll be around checking for another couple hours the most so thought I'd give one more clue although it isn't really on the role as much as the history of it. It went from novels to movies and radio show somewhere within the 1930-40's area. Then it went to television but I'll not give that part now.
