  1. I'm gonna have come hang out with y'all in the morning. Some fun around here I can see.
  2. Abi, I knew some of those things of her, yet somehow had allowed the focus to be as instructed. Well I reckon I have more stuff to head out towards the dumpster with. I'll just chat and know when you can that you will catch up. Todd, I understand what you are referring to I think. That inward capacity given a woman to suffer, seems no matter your understanding, it's too plain to see God used women as examples of certain forbearance, one all can benefit from. And being so imperfect I think pain and suffering is part of the ride. It's how we wear it that can benefit or hinder those around us, as well ourselves. I'll look at that thread sometime but right now I've catch up still. Dancing, I believe your observation of the angels appearing to Mary first is part of the richness of how God showed us all were important. But I was sidetracked with my perspective. Off track a tad perhaps but your post made me think of the woman having to suffer physical things not originally intended and how even I have joked I was going to thank her for all she gave but let her know I was not pleased with some of the crap we women had to suffer due it. :) T-Bone, What a cool mindset. A hunger to make something right would be of great benefit to the person but I don't know about the being bothered due to having a state of perfection. I think it would be a little more rewarding than that. Just my thoughts right now as I continue to think this thread. Dancing, I meant to say I was talking about Eve on the suffering thing. And to anyone reading have a good night but they are moving me into a new office tomorrow and I must get some rest, while being moved you can't be working, and funny how things are still there.
  3. Simply fantastic, I got it that time around. I had to post should you still be here Abi. :)
  4. I do know this, I no longer believe the woman is to walk a pace behind. I have robbed myself and others in my life due to wrong submissive thinking. I believe God created man in his own image, and that was male and female with no variance of importance. We are to compliment each other, not lord over. Back as I read, just felt like adding that.
  5. It is said that Abraham's hospitality was to all men - that he welcomed all. Sarah, on the other hand was more discerning. She only desired to welcome those she perceived as Godly. So it is said that it is Abraham that draws people to the light and it is Sarah that cleanses and heals them. How well you conveyed the difference in the two. A difference I've not seen quite like that before. But it seems there should have been more of Sarah than simply her part of the believing parenting of old age. And perhaps I've known more, but I've taken quite a bit out of storage and toss it into a local dumpster and am rebuilding. I need to ponder that other stuff, it's new for me Abi. Incredibly thought provoking. I keep rereading it and can't put my words together yet. I'm still reading.
  6. I'm just getting back, I bet I missed you already. What a wonderful reason to have to miss adding to the thread. :) Well I've some catch up to do.
  7. I have things to attend to but I see Abi posted some stuff, can't wait. (not to snub others, but I was waiting for her to return)
  8. "Dinner with Picard", heehee, love to hear what they called Kirk, hmmm perhaps Star Trekking while mattress dancing. Couldn't do one eposide of Captain Janeway. Over all I liked the crew of Next Generation the best. I'm certain half that is spelled wrong. But if y'all stopped reading me on that you ain't reading me now.
  9. Oh yes Deep Space Nine had some great actor interaction. If they were to do a new one like you suggest it would be cool if they included Wesley some how. I liked him.
  10. I prefer the Next Generation actually.
  11. There wasn't enough booze even if the Pope gave of his woodlands for the pear juice Maker to come brew up on we would still not have had enough to keep us sufficiently not feeling it. <_<
  12. I really think there is much to that thinking. For television it was pretty good, really was even if some writing was understated and oops...pass on what I was going to say it was good entertainment. It got our heads thinking other things for the first time I suspect. Children took an interest in what was above. It had a cool impact I think. This goes back to that thinking somewhere on the board sometime back  when we were talking about moving faster as time goes by because of the base of knowledge you have to work from widens. (or did I dream that)
  13. John, We haven't met but I have read some of your posts. I admire and thank you for your courage. And for taking time out of your life to do something that hasn't the best of conditions to be in. I have 4 nephews serving. The youngest is in Germany going into Iraq shortly. Two others served two years each there and the 4th works on airplanes for the Air Force. I was more comforted or secure with both the other boys tours than I am with this youngest one going in. I pray for you all, and for your safe return to our soil. Kathy
  14. If he brought you that many laughs I ought to reconsider eh! :)
  15. Wonder why they really got rid of the house of His healing presence, too close to the fortress maybe? Oh get over yourselves, I'm merely speculating you outside eyes.
  16. When I read your first post I thought that was what you meant, that there was perhaps something wrong in the wanting of it, their motive. Maybe wanting something that they weren't quite ready to receive. But we tend to think we know best for ourselves it seems. And how better to get to us than to imply you are withholding. All that can do in communication. That evil source would have been the slickest at what he offered. The best were taken in. Can't wait! :)
  17. You have a good point. I think we grew faster than it cold keep up also.
  18. I have no time but some very cool things have been added since last I was here. Back when I can.
  19. I enjoy the older ones although they had a couple I didn't care for. My only shudder of a thing was Shatner in his way over the top for that arena acting and the fact he had to have been the biggest space (fill the blank) there was, talk about a woman in every port. And he did nothing for me.
  20. I've considered how scripture speaks of reaching out with what is available. All this so well defined in the OT so as not to be rallied around if you are confined to administrational thinking. Why be encouraged to not only seek that which is healthy to us but if we have some of it to spread it around. And if we didn't recognize good and evil we couldn't hold fast to something we deem good. We could be tempted to just write off our evil nature as growing pains and never address the greater need for something to hold on to. All this would have a different perspective if we were automatically fixed with a script in our head for the fullness of lives. In light of that what if we'd not had sin introduced? What would the world have looked like? I can't imagine.
  21. I agree we are built from scratch with an inward seeking device. I also believe things not intended for the human machine to take in can clog the mechanisms and the seeking device become confused as to its direction. Closing it down at times where imho I think death results in some form or other if no movement takes place.
