I think he was recently freed of all charges.

Catcup and any other woman in this thread: {{{{{{{HUG}}}}}}} I have no idea and probably never will on how it would feel in the aftermath of rape. All I can do is listen and try to empathize. I wish our criminal justice system would not let any of these perps off so easy.

As A former TWI twig coordinator, I am ashamed to say I did not shield my people from TWI and their policies. That was a major reason for the exodus from the fellowship. It had been going pretty good and growing until micromanaging stepped in and I allowed it. It was a lot to learn from. I have been chosen to lead a small fellowship for people 40 and over in September from my United Brethren church. I have seen some micromanaging there from the lead pastor. I will not allow that to happen this time. I will resign first and leave the church. Seems TWI is not the only micromanager in ministries and churches.

Do you remember the House of His Healing Presence in the way Woods? For those that needed it, GreaseSpot is like that.

Wow, like I didn't get physical. Just well, lost my temper. Hope no one gets really violent if one of those idiots does what they were doing to the rest of us. Let's just call them an idiot and go home. Or as Patricia Heaton would say to Ray Romano: "I'm tired. Could you just call yourself an idiot and let it go at that?"

As a Red Sox fan, I will respond in wayspeak. The Mariners did it with devil spirits.

I know exactly what Eyes Open is talking about. In retrospect I looked back and considered myself a way weenie. Then one day, I couldn't stand the abuse anymore, and it kind of exploded with a vengeance. I didn't hurt anyone. Just stood up to the "bullies" all at once and perhaps stunned a lot of people. I kind of regret the forceful nature I used on one of them. But I don't know if I could help it or not. As soon as I left, my life took off like a rocket.

Gee, Imagine, I didn't ask if you cared or not, only if you still believed that stuff from PFAL. So that doesn't answer the question. Then again, if you don't care, don't answer it. That's okay.

I think my old Advanced Class Nametag got broken. I remember being idolized by PFAL and Intermedicate grads while being snubbed by a lot of Corps. Not all of them. But a lot. Still have a twig picture from Advanced Class 1986.

OOPS! That's right. Thanks, Nandon. It is Hank, not Babe. Too much caffiene at GS here!

II Eagle 42:18 And the Lord God said, Let there be a big green wall and it shall be called Fenway. And the Red Sox shall not build another stadium. And the current players shall remember the prophets of old: Johnny Pesky, Bobby Doerr, Ted Williams, Carl Yasztremski, Tony Conigliaro, Rico Petrocelli, and Jim Lonborg. And they will remember the Impossible Dream that became possible through the power of the Lord. For the Lord cursed the Yankees because of their hard-heartedness. And the Lord God said, let the Red Sox pursue the Yankees from Revere beach all the way to Long Island, where Yaz was born. And the Red Sox will claim the land from which the Yankees had succored, and had sucked. Yet the Lord God said to the Red Sox, go claim the Yankee's land for which I have promised, but do not touch Shea Stadium, for that is holy ground, from which I performed a miracle in 1969 with my other prophet Tom Seaver. Thus the Red Sox left the Mets alone. Unless they meet them in the World Series. Which is not likely at this time. God Bless the Boston Red Sox, from the town from where I was born, where I was succored, and played ball, and really sucked. Well maybe not that bad.

Gotta ask this. How many still believe four were crucified with christ and Peter denied Christ six times? How many believe the devil can get people born again of himself? How many still believe an actual born-again Christian can be possessed?

My wife and I were married in CFF and we don't regret it, despite not attending anymore. John Shroyer and Jeff Rath were very good pastors to do the ceremony. John's relatives allowed a little girl of theirs to be our flower girl. We had no ring bearers so the maid of Honor and Best Man took those roles. I liked John as a pastor. He uses good common sense. While his foundational classes were set up like TWIs, same teaching...almost...not all the same...he promoted different teachers so no one would get hooked on any one man like people got hooked on Wierwille. He was aware of that. He taught love offerings and tithes, instead of just the tithe. They believed thet tithe was a good principle but not a law, especially in the New Testament. No one was hit up for money like in TWI. You could buy his classes on tape and play them in fellowship, a dramatic improvement over TWI. His ministry beats TWI and I am not promoting it for people to go there. Anyone that has read what I've written knows I don't believe in a lot of it anymore. But for people that did like the old teaching, CFF was a great place for them. It was too bad John Shroyer didn't take over rather than LCM. He may have changed the BOT. This is IMHO. So, to this day, I have fond memories of our wedding. We have been married 7 years. Eagle

Bonds* hit is 752nd* and 753rd* Homeruns tonight to put him within 2 homers of the Babe. Hope no one minds the astericks. If they could do it to a true power hitter like Maris, I figure they can do it to Mr. Roids.

We seem to have lost the principle of investing in ourselves - the good ole' USA. We will reap the whirlwind. Speaking of reaping the whirlwind, for some freaking coincidence this is post 911 for me.

I'd just throw nothing but breaking pitches and spit balls, no fastballs whatsoever. They did that to Ken Harrelson (the Hawk) after he stupidly announced in an interview with Ken Coleman (Red Sox Announcer) with the Boston Globe sportswriters present that the secret to his success was waiting for a fastball. That was all he swung at. He was on the verge of taking the American league Triple Crown in 1968 right after Yaz did it, then all the pitchers just stopped giving him fastballs. His homeruns dried up and batting average shot down. He maintained the RBI title barely. Yaz overtook him to get the batting title batting just .301 and Frank Howard, who was just behind Harrelson, surged forth and finished with 44 that year to Harrelson's 35. Throw the guy crap. Call it the "Roid" ball.

I think I know what you're talking about. I saw a lot of those faces.

I've seen a lot worse. And people on GS know who that is. Oldies generally has been pretty good. I know he has opposite views. It's okay.

Hey Groucho, It matters. I agree with you. Hank Aaron was natural. NO steroids. Just a consistent home run hitter. Willie Mays was natural, a consistent home run hitter. Roger Maris was natural, no steroids, just had a natural swing and power (and it didn't hurt him batting after Mickey Mantle). And Mickey Mantle and his incredible bulk physique...came from the coal mines as a teenager. No steroids. (He was on pain killers a lot, but that hampered more than helped. Babe Ruth, another natural, no steroids, just a lot of hot dogs and beer. McGuire, Sosa (steroids and a corked bat), and Bonds. None deserve the Hall of Fame. No matter what records are broken. They deserve the Hall of Shame. When Bonds "breaks" the record, Hank Aaron in my STRONG opinion, will STILL be the Home Run King.

No way. It's too far gone and I am settled and happy in another church with my wife which she enjoys as well. Besides, the doctrine...well...if they changed it or corrected it...well...I still don't think I would go back but I think they could do far better recruiting if they just gave up the legalism.

It's too bad Don Wierwille didn't live. He may have been able to stop the exodus of Way people because he was so much more approachable, IMHO. He may have been friendly enough to allow the ex-believers back to visit and obviously would have treated his mother with respect along with JP and his family. The burial place would have been respected and people, no matter who they were, would have been allowed. That's what I believe, anyhow. Unless someone knows him better. I knew him briefly.
-
WG, You've got that right.
-
No, not okay. Draw the line somewhere. And this is a good line. Morphine should have only been used to treat his pain, not OD him. If he was brain dead, then that id dead. No such report. Life support should have continued until he died. I know this means the organs would all be damaged, but the patient was not there to make the decision to offer his own life and the mother was asking for treatment until he died. Harvesting of organs is a lucrative business. They cannot get into the business of killing others for saving others because the motivation is not grounded in medical ethics or any standard of ethics at all. The motivation was money. The man was killed for money.

The wooden spoon thing was abhorrent to me. If my kids were to misbehave, it was to be reported to ME and MY WIFE. We do the discipline of OUR kids. Thank God this did not happen because I wasn't married at the time. Had it happened, I would have turned the child over to my wife to be disciplined and then begin to "discipline" the idiot who whacked my kid with a wooden spoon. I saw one occurence of this on the field. An advanced class grad spanked someone else's kid and the father found out and in front of a group of people after a PFAL class threatened the man that did it. A lot of shouting going on. Ruined the class.
