I remember just after leaving the ministry that I virtually had no money and had borrowed somebody else's car. I thought in order to pay him back somewhat I would change his oil. I got off at work after a second shift 3-11pm and went home and decided to give the car back with an oil change. I got under the car and took a screwdriver and jammed it through the oilfilter and began unscrewing it. I had forgotten to empty the oil pan so I immediately stopped doing that and unloosened the knob on the oilpan. I was tired and wasn't thinking. I put nothing down to catch the oil and in fact was face down under the pan. It squirted down all over my face, hair, and the front of my plaid shirt. After replacing the filter and the oil. I went into the bathroom to wash up and look in the mirror. I looked like Al Jolsen before he did his "Mammy" routine, completely covered with at least two quarts of oil. Then I heard the clock go off and turned to see it just struck midnight. For a brief minute I thought of it, but then said "to hell with it", took a shower and went to bed. I never looked back.

I have it on good authority that some standing members of the Way like this site while other members are telling some others in the Way that the devil runs this website and that Grease Spotters are all possessed and have become the devil's disciples. Is this true? Is Pawtucket really the devil and are we all possessed?!!!

I wasn't aware that kids talking to imaginary friends meant that they were talking to devil spirits. That might have been the reason my Roman Catholic mother decided to pull me in from outside in the back yard after speaking to and offering part of my lunch to my invisible friend. Making me kneel and throwing holy water on me was not fun. But I suppose calling my invisible friend "Beelzebub" didn't help much, either.

TWI is innocent! VPW and LCM are completely innocent! I cannot believe that they are as narcissistic, controlling, and abusive as everybody says. And now you have gone and done it, insulting the two MOGFODTs and proven that we are possessed and are therefore losing rewards, holy spirit and receive damnation! I am nothing like the mind-froth-dribbling followers you say exist. I for one will write no more because I have to go and clean toilets for almost nothing and like it now. So you can see there is no brainwashing at the Way. I do it of my own freewill, freewill, freewill, freewill... Also to all at the Way International HQ. We are blessed to show our all-time favorite movie tonight...The Stepford Wives.

Can we all sue TWI individually, one at a time, for all the mental torture and abuse we suffered under this organization? I know it was "our choice", but the deception in the beginning fooled all of us, didn't it? I mean, there is still a lot of mental torment these people are handing out to ex-Wayers, like those who just want to visit the cemetary there. -

Hey, Can PJRoberge sell his domain name to an overseas internet freak (outsource it) and let the Way track that down? PJ gets rid of it, says he doesn't have it, and the name gets sold all around for like a buck a person. When the Way catches up with that guy, he sells it, and so on. Would they still hold PJ responsible? -

There is only so far that TWI can go on cornering the phrase "The Way". Darn phrase came straight out of the Bible. Why are they not suing churches in Ohio that are not at all associated with them called "Church of the Way" or "The Way of Jesus Christ" or some other phrase? -

PJRoberge is correct, I believe, in his position he has the winning edge on this case. TWI did not go after the domain name, they criticized heavily any use of the internet and even forbid us to use it, lest we be marked and avoided. He used the .com as a tool to speak about the Way, so the reality here is that a dot.com called wayinternational.com or thewayinternational.com can be ABOUT the Way International, and not at all belong to them. I don't think TWI has a very solid case. I do believe it is harassment, and I wonder if there will be enough evidence of that to countersue TWI. I have used PJRoberge's sites for years and it helped me emotionally and mentally. I give the deciding and logical edge to PJRoberge. -
When I was in gifts were usually over the ABS. In other words, we were not allowed to take it from ABS. And gifts were not mandatory but very expected anyway, so you could say that behind the "not mandatory", they really meant "mandatory". Gifts usually in our area came from non-Corps as for some reason Corps would suggest the gift to a traveling leader but then the non-Corps did a collection and got the gift. The gift had to be quality. A plaque, whatever. LCM used to complain about the "kinds" of gifts given to others. For example, once Rev. Shroyer got a gift of a plaque that said "Word Over Ohio" because he was specifically in charge of Ohio and the people that gave it to him were living in and assigned to Ohio. Ohio was his job and their job. That was their focus. LCM got childish and complained that it should have said "Word Over The World" as "our scope was limited". It wasn't that, it just that Shroyer's job assigned to him was Ohio. If LCM wanted to have him get Word Over The World then he should have put Shroyer on a world tour. Such menial things LCM found fault with, I tell you. Later, the one to abandon Word Over The World was LCM, as he said it was already over the world and had prevailed. No wonder Shroyer left. How much did he have to put up with on LCM I will never know. He's doing much better than TWI is right now. Not trying to promote CFF, but Shroyer looks at Word Over The World now because he runs it. So if he got the plaque today, it would say "Word Over The World". As for the gift issue, it promoted the MOG idea, so no more gifts is what I suggest. Donations of gifts to a certain ministry are okay, but to certain men not okay. I don't believe the ten percent tithe any more either. I give as I see fit or as I am blessed to give. I feel much better that way and end up not feeling bitter about it.

I had revelation in 1992 to leave TWI. It came in an audible voice. It said, "If it snows on the gas pumps, get out!" So what if it was winter and so what if the snow was already on the gas pumps when I got revelation? The voice also said, "I will teach you more about the Word if you just get the hell out!" So I did and began looking for my own groupies, found none, then later got my own dot.com. God didn't tell me, that I know of, to get a dot.com. But since I was held responsible for revelation while in TWI, I guess TWI should be held responsible for the actions of PJRoberge, you magnificent bastard! -
Interesting looking "face" there. But this is the same area where just a few years back a bunch of meteors hit Jupiter all at once. Those bright circles I think are still the effect of those hits on the surface mixing with the atmosphere.

There were some really great Fellowship coordinators I had dealt with in the past that were not Corps but were better than Corps. Bruce and Debby Watkins were straight from the heart. They broke from the way around 1989 or just before that and continued fellowshipping as best they could. Bruce and Deb always gave of themselves even when times were tough. They never went after anyone to "reprove" or correct. They just spoke the Word and let us handle it from there. It seems from my experience with them that no matter what the trials they went through, they were always delivered. I can't say the same about a lot of Corps but I do wish everyone's deliverance. Does anybody know anyone else that were not Corps that seemed to have the heart meant for a ministry? I believe some people had callings, so to speak, but didn't go in the Corps. They did the Advanced Class and the WOW program and that was that. Perhaps God wanted them to stay out of the Corps. They were such terrific local leaders. I saw them literally financially bail out limb coordinators and other Way Corps who lost in life. To this day, they always kept their doors open to those who wanted to talk about the Word. Of all the people I met in the Way, they were the one's with the greatest heart that I knew.

Mastering PFAL: Vee Pee Pee's perversion of scripture
Eagle replied to pjroberge's topic in About The Way
Thanks, Raf. I'm drinking some now. But I'll take a cini-bun if there is any in this place. I agree with you there. I am grateful they got me turned on to the Word of God, especially in the fashion they did. I just did not expect the outcome. God Bless everyone here, BTW. -
My fellowship is not very high on the devil spirit thing either nor do they believe Christians can even be "possessed". (Although after LCM, Rivenbark, Platig and whoever, it makes me take a second look...) I like what I hear about Hendricks, though.

Mastering PFAL: Vee Pee Pee's perversion of scripture
Eagle replied to pjroberge's topic in About The Way
As I look into PFAL teachings more after 22 years of taking the first class, I see a lot of error and I am surprised that men of education taught what they did. -
My last time in TWI was 1992. The witchhunt seemed to be going on even at that time. The sour looks, the suspicious nature. Corps brothers and sisters turning each other in for the most menial of offenses which in real life were not offenses at all. As an Advanced Class Grad and in the Corps at that time, I was forced to listen to the Galatians tapes in 1989 and the Advanced Class "Special" of 1992. I remember the peace being absent from this once hallowed ground, and a darkness, something forboding, something evil, I sensed at night during their teachings. It went from beautiful in 1980 to ugly in 1992. I decided to just fold up my bed, rise up and walk. I was a spiritual cripple. Only when I realized what the darkness really was, did I recognize light. It was then I walked out and saw the light outside, and for the first time in twelve years, I was not blind.
