Did Terri Schiavo's parents ever try to get guardianship?
Eagle replied to waterbuffalo's topic in Open
Oh, gee, I don't know. Michael Schiavo, the only witness to Terri Schiavo's collapse where she becomes brain-damaged and initially not too much in the matter of tests are taken as they tried to revive her then check on her brain. Let's see, the guy has denied MRIs and PET Scans to really study her brain, denied physical, occupational and speech therapyover the years that would have aided her in at least being able to move around and communicate somewhat other than the words she can say which are "Mommy" and "Paaiii.." (Pain). Then the guy wanted no autopsy at first, which might bring about cause to her problem or possible abuse, a cremation so that the evidence is almost all gone, and burial in his own family plot so that in order to dig her up again they have to get his permission. This is something only the Mafia does in this order. That is, no witnesses to a hit, finish them off, hide the body and there are no autopsys leading to clues to the crime and therefore the perpretrator. The autopsy is being allowed only because of the heat on Schiavo. If he did in fact inject her with anything then push her down stairs (she has an xray record of over 13 broken bones, only a few of which could have happened, if they did, during care (broken ribs can happen during CPR). The broken hip and broken leg, the fractured skull still remain a mystery unless she passed out on a large flight of stairs and hit a lot of objects during her fall. It's possible I suppose. She is not yet brain dead and expresses herself through smiling at her parents, frowning at Michael Schiavo, and leaning up slightly when the doctor enters the room. She says only a few words. But she listens to music and loves affection. There was no living will. They are taking the word of a husband who has already has another women and two children by her. Despite medical personnel outnumbering Michael Schiavo's team in testimony in favor of Terri and against Michael, the activist judges have decided they would rather kill her and use procedure to do it. There is no law allowing for her death because a guardian says so if she is able to eat and is not brain dead and not aged and on a respirator. She is simply a disabled person that needs help and with therapy could eat by swallowing food. She needs a feeding tube only because her husband won't allow any treatment and has vetoed it for years. I believe Michael Schiavo has motive to have her killed and has nothing to do with her last wishes. He even admitted to a nurse long ago that he and Terri never discussed something like this. The nurse's testimony was ignored. The judiciary is certainly guilty of being complicite in an act of murder. I don't let a black robe be any kind of ultimate authority. Look at priests today. The biggest shame to me though, is President George W. Bush. He absolutely does have the power and authority to rescue this woman and there is nothing anyone could do about it. His opponents couldn't get enough votes for impeachment even if he did break a law. He has done nothing other than verbally oppose the court-ordered death and sign a bill into law only allowing the federal courts to look at it. And even though I despised Bill Clinton, I truly think that if he believed that she should be rescued, he would in fact use his power to do that. I believe George W. wimped out on this although I find few to agree with me on this. I voted for him. I guess I got what I asked for and had it coming, watching this woman starve to death. If people want to assume thet Terri Schiavo wanted to die, fine. Let them prove it. But they can't assume it and take action on that assumption based on hearsay testimony of a husband who was not all that close to her according to relatives. Nothing in writing. Only one guy, and he has been contradicted. And one witness against Michael Schiavo scared off and refusing to testify against him after promising she would. It was an ex-girlfriend of his. Not sure if this "girlfriend" was during his marriage to Terri or not. It may really be true she wants to live, just as she is, enjoying her family's attention. If this is so, the benefit of the doubt should be afforded for the one who cannot speak or plead for her life in her own behalf. -
If Raf were the Devil, then he would not have LES, or the Living Epistles Society. He would have LES, The Livid Evil Spirit Society. Also, TWI would probably love him while at the same time pretending to rebuke him.

I don't mean giving to graduated Corps, just those struggling to get through Corps training. I'm not sure if anyone can identify with me on the fun of giving to people who needed it. Oh, well...
-
I admit I do miss the old ROA, though. Such great times. Showers or no showers. I had fun with all the believers. I had a blast meeting new believers I had never met before. And I had a blast giving money to people in residence for Corps who needed it, people I didn't even know. They later outlawed giving to Corps outside our own area. Sucked the fun right out of me. Some of us liked surprising a Corp person or two with a $20.00 bill.
-
Okay, okay. I never accidently walked into the women's showers.
-
I remember those showers. It was no big deal to me. Probably should have used the men's showers, though.

I'm not sure if anyone was with me doing this, but I was assigned to help lift and remove rocks from the place where the foundation for the auditorium was laid. There were a few guys with me. I think possibly a girl or two. I was there for that first service. I remember the book of contributors. I remember the full house packed and overflowing. I thought it would be packed forever as I was excited about it in those days. Looking forward to the Advanced Class and all that would be offered and later the Corps. The legalism destroyed it all. The lack of love and respect for its followers and people destroyed the foundation which I helped to build. It grieves me it is mostly empty now. I wish they would sell the grounds there to a church or ministry that would get more godly use out of it and fill it to the brim again.

This looks like a good website. I'm going to respect the people there and stay off. I just wanted to respect their right to believe what they believe, though I believe little of it. But it looks pretty good.

Sunesis: Those are by far the BEST questions I have ever read at GS or on any subject. Your mind just works all sides. You are definitely a researcher. You certainly have the mind of a discoverer. Frankly, maybe you should be writing on that subject, too. You brought up subjects I hadn't even thought of and I thought I touched on everything. Great job! Wish I could come up with questions as profound as you did. It is what makes discovery and progress in anything possible.

You know. I was going to complain about that...and I sent it to private topics. Oh well, forget it then. Just kidding. :)-->

Oh, I won't sue the guy. I forgave him. But I am much the wiser to work for someone in that kind of position again. Since I beat that rap, no lawsuit. If I hadn't, I would have been dirt poor and couldn't afford a lawyer. Sounds like TWI itself was smarter and gave good, neutral, or no reference. I like the information being given on this thread though as I do intend to begin a business. Some of this material may protect me.
-
Guess it depends on the individual people. I never worked for TWI directly, just TWI people. One in particular owed me back salary and despite being as poor as I was at the time, I wrote it off. But I had quit TWI and his business at the same time and was marked and avoided. I did most of the work for that business at that time and did allow time for someone to take my place and train them before I left. I also worked my butt off in the business so he and his family could make it to the ROA. After quitting, I was looked down upon. The man was a large financial contributor to TWI. After quitting TWI, I thought I would at least get a good reference but got a bad one from him. Despite that, I was hired because I was a temp that was able to work the job I was hired for and proved myself on the job. The man doing the interview ignored the bad reference. I thought I was toast, but it turned out okay after all.
-
Has anybody that left TWI get a bad job reference for leaving TWI employment, even though you did a stellar job, because of no longer being with TWI, and did any others who worked for standing followers of TWI who then left TWI get a bad job reference from those still in TWI? It happened to me. I had to explain about 12 years of off and on again jobs with those that stood with TWI after I left and got not so kind remarks to those I applied to in the real world. I always did great work for these people, too. Those whom I worked for outside TWI gave good references while those in TWI gave bad. God saw me through anyway. Anybody with the same scenario in those days?

The Trinity has met it's match!
Eagle replied to Jeff USAF RET's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
Whatever it was that JAL did, it was very apparent that he humbled himself when approached for it, very unlike LCM. While whatever it was that he did was not to his credit, the fact that he abdicated his position because of it and was still willing to help this ministry says volumes. I believe JAL can take the position later if offered, because it appears he was godly about taking responsibility for his actions. If whatever this was happened again, he would step down again. Somehow, I believe, JAL will not repeat the error. After seeing howw he handled it, I sure can't throw a stone. After looking at my life, I can sure arrange to throw something at myself. -
God Bless and protect Josie from now on and God Bless Plots. They will meet again.

Reikilady: You are blessed to have friends like that. We have some "friends" that see us in church only and talk about community but for hanging out forget it. In the Way, our friends wer pretty much conditional on what we believed. I remember that. Rare is a true friend. I would do anything for a person like that. My wife is my best friend.

Linda: I do understand completely, and thanks to Galen, too. Of course, my wife and I didn't suffer any financial hardship, but we kept agonizing on why my in-laws would keep doing what they were doing. We finally decided over that last time to quit agonizing over it. If they lose their house because of that girl, we can't help them. The funny thing was, they used to lecture my wife and I on bailing out our two sons (her sons, my step-sons). We bailed them out once, and advised them that if it happened again there would be no help. Both took a couple of bruises, so to speak, on their own before they both wised up and began living normal lives. One of them was mentally challenged but we expected the same from him. Both have ceased their recklesness now because they both had to pay for it. Amazing.

I just found out from Paddy's publisher, Xulon Press, that Paddy's book did peak at number 8 on the all-categories best seller list at Amazon.com before finally dropping. He is still on their best seller list. He has more national interviews coming up and one in Canada. His book sales seem to soar after one of these interviews.

I have a niece who has run up an $80,000 debt on student loans on her credit card, car loans, cell phone bills, and when she needed more money, asked my sister and brother in law, her parents, to remortgage their house to bail her out again. They had done this twice before for her and have paid every one of her bills. They reached a financial peak and could no longer do that. My niece is 28 years old going on 29. This is a prime example of a kid that won't grow up because the parents keep teaching her to remain a child. Because of the financial debt this girl incurred, her mother, my sister-in-law had a 'going away' party for her because she had to move to another state to another job (she has had several...she never gets fired, just decides to change careers, like five or six times), so the going away party was an event to gather money for her expenses. We gave $50.00. She got close to $500.00 from different people. Then this niece decided to take this money for the express reason of subtracting from any moving expenses and she went white-water rafting with it, blowing most of it. Her Mom and Dad decided to bail her out again. We cut her off completely. She gets a card on her birthday now, no money, and a $20.00 gift certificate at some store for Christmas. She gets nothing from us because it is like throwing your money into a fire. I suppose she will ultimately marry and blow her husband's money. But she says she doesn't want to marry anyone that does not have over $250,000 a year salary.

Exie: Sounds like you know him. Sounds now like a lot of people know him. He has been called "Paddy" and "Mick". The entire book is his own research. I guess he doesn't affiliate himself with any one church or ministry. To be accurate, he is number 3 at Amazon.com in the Religion and Spirituality catagory. They had a top 100 list of books in that category and Paddy was number 3 even surpassing Joel Osteen and Rick Warren. I just found out that he is now number 10 overall for all books at Amazon.com. Cripe...

Sorry, Paddy Heron, 11th Corps. Now he has been on two coast to coast radio programs and maintains his third place status at Amazon.com.
-
We still don't know how Rochelle died in the summer of '83. Anyone know how this happened?
-
Just a freindly note: Patrick Heron has succeeded in massive online sales of his book, The Nephilim and the Pyramid of the Apocalypse at Amazon.com after a coast-to-coast interview on the Art Bell program in Los Angeles. He keeps getting repeated offers for radio interviews from Christian radio stations and affiliates in the United States and Canada. I wish him well.

HCW is not responding for a while, I suppose, maybe reliving the grief over it. But how and when did Rochelle pass away? He said half her scalp was cut away to see her skull, but she was conscious and with that description, a lot of stitching and IV antibiotics and morphine would pull her through. Anyone know when she passed away and what the cause of death was? This sounds pretty horrendous. {{{{{{{Rochelle}}}}}}} Eagle

You know, you could all file lawsuits, you know.
