Overthinking is a quick way to get depressed. . . . so constantly be internally looking for ways God may or may not be talking to you . . . and constantly remind yourself there's no condemnation it's not working . . . you meathead. VPW (as an NPD) needed others to reflect back his image. His reality was a projection of a projection. Love-bombing sprinkled with threats is a tactic to get compliant mirrors. He can only project that which he isn't. It sounds, T-bone, like you're describing wiping a canvas clean to paint a new picture, in going from PFAL to the Advanced Class. The verses you quote mention eyes and seeing. I suspect VPW dissociated a lot . . . from stories I have heard. It can sometimes be "seen" in their eyes. The blank out of body stare . . . as if possessed. I wonder if possession might not mean something has taken over. It might mean something simply isn't there.

Took the Advanced Class same year as LCM Jr. . . . The Rock was no longer a thing and I forget the month that was . . . I think the Advance Class sort of was an attempt to replace the function of The Rock as far as "coming home". . . they started those bus tours. Overall this isn't very fair to fireflies to associate them with the seasons in New Knoxville.

Hopefully the image went through . . . I think Malignant Narcissist are also described the light blue "primary psychopathy narcissistic personalities" or psychotic narcissists . . . or maybe "primary psychopathy narcissistic and antisocial personalities" . . ooohhhh . . . . Maybe interchangeable terms. A fun note is that Tony Soprano's mother on the HBO show was a borderline. I think the actress nailed it.

The fireflies are getting thicker here in the cornfields. I associate that with the Advanced Class time but I thought it wasn't until August.

Learned helplessness?

Pffft. Foxes don't eat grapes!

I feel like it was the Advanced Class that required more homework. Reading lists and packets of retemories.

An internalized ponzi scheme where you are repeatedly recruiting your own thoughts? To build a sand castle without water you can't stop moving sand . . .

I'm thinking in terms of obtaining narcissistic supply. Not necessarily actually disciplining someone. The motivation is different. I think PFAL called it the great principle but it might be another chart.

I think Matthew 10:16 In the spirit of Jung, you have to know your shadow . . . or you will do more harm. Lots of positivity talk is to make folks drop their guard.

You said you saw a few big-wigs "do it" . . . can you describe "it"?

Perhaps fear was never about fear. It was about pleasure. Huxley over Orwell.
-
I've heard this said 10,000 X in my life. The stupidity is apparent but now the sick pleasure derived from the suffering of others is apparent. Reminds me of the wooden spoon. The look they gave you.

Sadism by inducing self-flagellation. Another form of obtaining narcissistic supply.

I was going to joke about not seeing thing on audiotape. Are you taking the blame for leadership?

I have to post - hit refresh and post again - everytime - usually works the second time. I think it's the internet asking me "Are you sure you want to post that?" . . . If there's anything we learn from lifers in Da Vey it's sold out head down commitment to a lost cause . . . *post post post*

This guy speaks in the plural. That's Trinitarian talk . . . definite seed boy.

There are nine traits of NPD and also nine diagnostic criteria. Nine manifestations of the holy splurt. That's three sets of nine - for complete nine-sense. Word of knowledge - I know it all Word of wisdom - I always know what to do Gifts of Healing - I'll help when the camera is rolling Speaking in Tongues - Glorify the insignificant Interpretation of Tongues - Pareidolia in action Word of Prophecy - Just kidding . . . my thoughts are God's thoughts Discerning of Spirits - I can tell who is me and who is not me . . . sometimes Miracles - lower standards mean lower expectations . . . you're amazed by that Believing - I re-gifted believing. Technically, that makes it a gift. You should feel good about it.

You were being falsely accused. She confabulated a scenario where you were in the wrong. You stuck to your guns and didn't feed them supply in that situation.

Ah yes. . . if it didn't work . . . Try Harder . . Got me. Spiritually. Right between the eyes.

I think discussions about homosexuality are in line with discussions of The Way. I quoted lyrics from The Way, think it was on the same tape (remember those?) as The Mystery train . . . but maybe not. I think the news link was absolutely political. Anything from them seems inflammatory. Just my opinion.

So . . um . . . is the "where's your believing" phrase a form of Way-Shaming?

What makes a cult a cult? Does this sound familiar?

Often I read the term "charismatic leader" as part of understanding a "cult leader". Usually we're trying to describe something we view as negative. "charismatic leader" I think is a neutral term. Doesn't mean good or bad. ("cult" doesn't always mean negative either) narcissism, malignant narcissism . . . I feel this makes things less subjective . . . more specific . . . there is a specific issue within that leader that can be characterized . . . and their perceived "uniqueness" can therefore vaporize . . . predictions and patterns across multiple groups are more easily recognized. Communication about what's happening can be made clearer. just my opinion
