  1. I agree in that we are very limited by our genetics.
  2. Japan also has businesses and insurance policies meant for the elderly, who have nobody. They pass and nobody knows for a long time. I don't imagine that existence is pleasant. With younger people I predict surrogate parents. We don't want "lost boys" running around or easily gathered by some leader type.
  3. I think your argument had no merit. 1) All species change over time. It's called evolution. That includes behavior. 2) Nurture can greatly affect a person's decisions in life. I can't fathom how you wouldn't know that. Thus I see aggression by you. Moving AI in to replace absent roles is an idea, when I see none from you.
  4. I'm seeing posts now that weren't there before. I don't know why that is. Sometimes when I switch between different computers and handheld devices that happens. It looks to me like there's amusement over the topic of child abuse. I'm never amused by that. I boil over that topic. Always have. Maybe AI could help those without guidance. If that amuses you, go F yourself with a red hot iron.
  5. Rocky, I've gone through the start of this thread. You asked what do you think? I told you. You were a vague jerk who never gave his view. The PFAL graduate is a defender of child abuse. I should hate all of them.
  6. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareidolia There you go Rocky, here's another term to help you. Although I think you know this already.
  7. Every interaction in The Way was nonsense. What interaction was real? Were the humans real? How horrible was it? Is being suggested here AI couldn't do BETTER than The Way?
  8. I am being mocked for repeating the ideas of others, such as billionaires known for putting their money where their mouth is. The fact someone joined a cult proves further people will have increasing reliance on AI. People like VPW are followed all the time. Not because of what they are, but because of what followers choose to see. As the society, again, I do not coin the term, becomes atomized, people will become their own cult leaders.
  9. You did though. That's why you're here. Why? Projection. Projecting goodness onto something not capable of good.
  10. Who's volley is it? Thought I was bouncing old concepts around.
  11. Shouldn't former culties know reality is easily tampered with? I'm questioning everything . . .
  12. Get an Oculus, mess with that, realize it's a toy and imagine what the military could do with a more expensive gadget.
  13. HBO max has a couple series that somewhat explores this. Raised by wolves And another with Ray Ramano I get remember the name of Then connect some ideas to cults
  14. You forgot dogs and cats. How a power outlet looks like a face. We project. That's how we work. This can be mimicked to the point we can't tell. Look at Victor Paul Wierwille.
  15. This like, Elon Musk stuff, so that's why I think you're playing devil's advocate. This is the world. We atomizing. Our world is a projection, why wouldn't robots take the place of human interaction?
  16. Your questions are confusing. We have, as a culture, said that human interaction is wrong. We have been supplanting it. Types of AI have been filling these voids. There is a need for public safety to do so.
  17. What? We can make our own personalized groups to belong to. Right?
  18. You might. And I get that. I do to. But. Human interaction is changing. That reality has alternatives.
  19. I had to take course on "Belonging" when I was a teacher. You might look into this thing called the internet. And how it rewires the brain etc. Etc. Etc.
  20. Also, I don't know what I would propose. If AI is inevitable, if society is being atomized, as an observable phenomenon, AI would be smart enough to adapt to whatever reality it deems necessary. If human nature has always been the same and always will be, AI has an easy task. If human nature changes over time, there's no reason to think AI can't stay ahead of it. We moved from hunter gatherers, to agriculture to cities. Where does the psyche belong? It is moving to the internet. We are pushing away from each other.
  21. Was I feeling the force or forcing the feel by adding a new premise to the jargon? Sounds dirty. I don't know, but we'll know it when we find it. That's ethical cults, right? Are you stating that human nature has always been the same for or that it changes rapidly?
  22. If the purpose of religion was meant to develop the psyche, much as parents in a family unit, but for a larger cohesive society. Not so much the case today. Family, religion, and other institutions are being dissolved in favor of an individual, atomized society. Each individual is more concerned with themselves than others. Artificial Intellignece would have an easier role in developing the psyche of the bulk of the population. Right now you have large numbers of people simply not developing in the traditional sense. Just at home, online. A non-human entity could file the void.
