  1. Nope, you got it! Wayworld's view of the Trinity is clearly a strawman. Vpw had to create new red herrings around each aspect of it . . . Finding some way, in each person of the Trinity, to draw attention back to vpw (lowercase)
  2. Are you referring to The Way's use of administration's? I agree if God speaks to an individual that's "the word" specific to them. Interesting how the manifestations were used as a choke point for that.
  3. I'm sure you're an authority to someone in some capacity. I'm sure you know something. What would decisions be based on? Isn't the use of the Bible in The Way a transfer of authority from correct to incorrect?
  4. Yes, I think this is what you are getting at when discussing deference to authority. Only the authority here is dead. A lifeless object made of paper and ink. The answer must be in there so if I can't find it can't be that it isn't there. Also I think in deference to authority. . . . If deference is the right term . . . Trust might be involved
  5. VPW didn't just target Jesus and The Word, and as I now understand The Word means Jesus. (VPW said something about Jesus being The Word made flesh, but Jesus was subordinate to The Word, as God was to The Law of Believing) The Holy Spirit was another case. . . . Get it? God can't talk to you so he had to make you again so he could talk to the new you which in turn could talk to you. I think that's been covered here on GSC somewhere before. He's added so many steps and this is somehow simpler than The Trinity?
  6. Dilettante is a word. What does the word mean? I would ask myself. Then I'd look it up. Then I'd use it in another context as if I'd been using it since the first century. Yes this God of the Victorian Corn had little time for us simple folk. Sitting here, SITing, wondering why we need three or force levels of mediators to get to a mediator, who is absent. Seated at the right hand of the being too busy to explain anything in English. How does a mediator mediate when he doesn't know anyone? Gawd left the Word. But it hasn't been known so he left a Class. He left written instructions. Nobody understood them right so he sent a Class to instrutct on the instructions. It's a McDonald's ice cream machine, always busted. Which by the way, was an idea Ray Kroc stole from VPW.
  7. Don't watch this video. It's a whole hour of nonsense. If you like It's because you are wrong.
  8. Wayworld did "celebrate" Reformation Sunday . . . and like to quote "Sola Scriptura" . . . certainly makes it sound like The Bible was thing and only thing.
  9. In 15th - 16th century folks were upset about a Diet of Worms. Kept telling this one trouble maker on the matter to Can it.
  10. Goodness . . . there's a lot to address . . I found this link on the History of the Bible LINK I've heard the Renaissance is partly because of The Eastern Roman Empire finally falling . . . and scholars seeking refuge in the West. East and West were once one, and Christianity followed. The Bible Canon appears to not be standardized until 200 years ago. Sounds like an ancient but not-ancient book. Slightly removed timeframe of the 1st Century.
  11. This is related to The Trinity in that there's the usage of "The Word" and what that actually means. If you were in The Way . . . you probably studied the Bible like your life depended on it . . . Scripture Interprets Itself Random Article Link John 5:38-39 39 You study[c] the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, 40 yet you refuse to come to me to have life. Seems like a step is missing in Wayworld.
  12. If you're in Hawaii this PI will find Skip. And he knows what you're thinking and why you're wrong.
  13. The Word was there in The Beginning. John wasn't written in The Beginning. Isn't John a book in "The Word"? The Bible is not necessarily "The Word" . . . right??
  14. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logos#Christianity Christianity[edit] Further information: Logos (Christianity) In Christology, the Logos (Greek: Λόγος, lit. 'word, discourse, or reason')[2] is a name or title of Jesus Christ, seen as the pre-existent second person of the Trinity. The concept derives from John 1:1, which in the Douay–Rheims, King James, New International, and other versions of the Bible, reads: Wayferisms: The Word, The Word, Nothing but The Word. The Word of God is The Will of God. It is Written. The Word Takes the place of The Absent Christ The Word Says it, I believe it. Do The Word. Standard of God's Word. Claim The Word. God Magnified His Word above His Name Word Word Word . . . Word is The Word . . . . . . . . (no . . . I made this one up)
  15. Yes Corpse Master, I did try to throw sodium chloride down at the portico instead of using the Bobba backpack blower, thinking preparation was the highest form of Jedi-jit-su, But apparently it's A-Salt.
  16. Yeah Malchizadek showed up on my feed last night, I had never paid any attention before. Scripture had always interpreted itself before. I don't think anyone is directly threatened by johniam. It's clearly a defense mechanism for that reality. We each have our own reality but then we tend to interact with lots of people. So I guess shared realities are helpful. Maybe even worth arguing over. Maybe we could each change our own just a little at a time. Maybe that would change the larger shared reality. Or we could elect a king and they could just tell us which reality to pick. And use the sword to help those not up to speed.
  17. So this Malchizadek character. That was like a begotten Christ from an earlier time? Tom Bombadil tends to induce a number of questions as well. Neither guy wore a Corps ring. That's how much raw power they had.
  18. I'm trying to think about acting like a criminal in public but we don't discuss politics.
  19. I think it was Dr Robert Solomon on The Passions, maybe someone else . . . But a person on the inside is more of a committee. . . . Not in a crazy, dissociative way . . . But we are many systems with opinions that are more important at different times. Like hunger, it's handy and directs us at times, but not all the time. If that made any sense a Gawd should be far more mysterious than that. Couple all that with our collective understanding changing throughout time. Well how does accepting a Trinity a trick of an Adversary? Isn't The Adversary's existence what needs to be questioned? I think someone did earlier.
  20. It's a wonder why the writing stopped. . . . People did keep writing. Writing is still a thing. Before IT is written, IT has yet to be written. So they wrote what was wrought, until it was naught? Nah. That's not all that's been thought.
  21. So, there's numerous alternatives to The Trinity. Which is the right alternative? The Bible is Not God. So a definitive answer wouldn't likely be there.
  22. Right it sounded like there were numerous ideas for a second, like Jesus had be begotten, forgotten, begotten again. In the beginning was THE Word. And THE Word was with God. And THE Word was God. That's a Bible Verse. The Bible was in the beginning? The Bible is God? Maybe The Word and The Bible are two different things. His Will is also a thing.
  23. Poor Thomas' Almanac. So Jesus was begatten here and there?
  24. The Arains still had Jesus, THE Logos, begotten before creation and having creation made through him. That is still very different than Wayworld. Did Jesus begin in Mary or way before that?
